So, like every community, I have our municipality's Parcel feature class. It has a PIN field as a unique ID & other attribute fields. On a weekly basis from our county, I receive an updated Parcel Owner data table also with a PIN field. I n ArcGIS Desktop, I join this table to my parcel feature class & *boom* I have a layer with my parcels showing owner fields. And no matter if I edit the Parcel FC or replace the data table with updates, the joins stay in place. So now we want to accomplish this on an AGOL map. I created a Parcel Feature Layer from my Parcel Feature Class & also uploaded the "Owner" database to AGOL as a hosted table. I used the Analysis>Join Features tool to join the table to the parcel layer HOWEVER in this tool, I have to create a new layer. Is there a way I can just join the table to the layer? In this process, I wind up with a second Parcel layer that I have to maintain. No good. My goal is to - like ArcGIS Desktop - edit my parcel feature class & replace the data in my Parcel Owner table separately & just have the view automatically through the join. Any way to accomplish a join table to layer & just have it... join? Thanks!

Hi all ! I have users getting mobile pop-ups when they click for information using web apps on their desktop internet browser. Maps created in AGOL with web app builder. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for certain users or type of web browsers, or which web app they are using. The mobile pop ups seem to come up one day, and come up as regular pop ups the next. Anyone experience this or know a cause? Or, better yet, a solution? Thanks & Happy GISing! Dan

Robert Thank you. That helps & I have a greater understanding of this. GISDev01 Thank you as well. I'd like to get into xml more & more but they got me bogged down creating pretty maps & drawings rather than actually advancing our organizations GIS...sigh.

Rhett Please forgive me as I am brand new in flex viewer (like 2 days old), but how do you load into flex viewer as dynamic? Is this done wihin the MXD, the publishing process, or within flex viewer itself? When I add the published map service from my GIS Server into the flex viewer into the map from the Operational Layers, there is no option for dynamic. Do I have to add the script somewhere (like in Don' post)? Basically I want to add my address points (with the house number labeled on top of the point) & our city govermental district polygons (and label them as "District 1"... "District 2"... etc) to our flex viewer map. When I started my flex viewer map it showed the address labels, but when I added the district polygons with labels, nothing is showing up now. Thanks Dan

I have sid aerial photos of 4 townships that cover my community. I was wondering if there was a toolbar function to combine these 4 .sid raster files in to one layer. Working on ArcView 10. No SDE.

Dan you Dumba$$ You re-created your address points shapfile to contain a unit number field. For instance, you have 18 points for 1089 W Jackson St with units 1 thru 18 on each point. That is why when you tried to create address locator, it failed. DOY! You're lucky you have your handsomeness & a nice chick cos you're a GIS iditard, and your baseball team sucks.

Cannot Create address locator I am trying to create an address locator that I had created in versions before 10. First, I tried rebuilding my original address locator from 9.3.1 & ArcToolbox crashed. I deleted it & just tried to create a new one in ArcToolbox 10, but it will not. Now Im up the creek with out a geocoder. I am using a "US Address - Single house" style. I need to do address searches & geocode addresses based on dbf created by my organization My reference data is a point shapefile for my address points & Im using it as a primary table. The data looks like this for example: Example: 255 N Cimmaron Rd W Where: 255 = House Number N = Prefix direction Cimmaron = Street Name Rd = Suffix Type W = Suffix Direction This is how it looks as far as data fields are titled: 255 = House Number = STNUM N = Prefix direction = STDIR Cimmaron = Street Name = STNAME Rd = Suffix Type = STTYPE W = Suffix Direction = STSUFFIX I do not need CITY or ZIP or STATE as I am in a place that is within one city name, Zip, & state. This is how I would go about creating address locators in previous ArcToolbox versions & always had success. When I try, it wont work & the box pops up to send an error report. Here is the python error msg: arcpyCreateAddressLocator_geocoding("US Address - Single House","//Volgis/gis/Basemap/address_points.shp 'Primary Table'","'Feature ID' FID VISIBLE NONE;'*House Number' STNUM VISIBLE NONE;'Prefix Direction' STPREFIX VISIBLE NONE;'Prefix Type' <None> VISIBLE NONE;'*Street Name' STNAME VISIBLE NONE;'Suffix Type' STTYPE VISIBLE NONE;'Suffix Direction' STSUFFIX VISIBLE NONE;'City or Place' <None> VISIBLE NONE;'ZIP Code' <None> VISIBLE NONE;State <None> VISIBLE NONE;'Additional Field' <None> VISIBLE NONE;'Altname JoinID' <None> VISIBLE NONE","//Volgis/gis/Basemap/address_points_CreateAddress") Im not sure what's going on but I need to resolve this because no users can search for addresses. I tried creating it in with different names & different file locations with no luck. I know it's has to be something simple. Thanks in advance!
