It would be helpful to be able to see the specific layer, label, etc. that is being drawn/rendered when navigating and/or refreshing the map. ArcGIS Pro has a spinning icon that indicates that drawing is in progress, but it doesn't show (list) the specific layer, label, etc. that is currently being drawn like ArcMap used to. In ArcMap I found this especially helpful when a map was slow to draw/render. It allowed me to quickly determine which layer(s) and/or label(s) was/were taking so long to draw. If it were a labeling issue, which was often the case, it allowed me to uncheck the offending layer or disable labeling on that specific layer, rather than pause labeling for the entire map if other labels were needed for my current workflow.

I would like a progress indicator when running GP tool/task from GP History using Right click -> Run. Currently I see no indication the tool is running until the window refreshes upon completion.

@SarahRichardson "Pan to" is available if you right click the feature row in the attribute table. I agree it would be nice to have it on the attribute table toolbar as well 🙂

I would like the ability to reorganize and group GP History Favorites. I realize they can be sorted and filtered, but having the ability to manually reorganize and group them much like you can do layers in the Contents Pane would make finding the GP History Favorite much easier and more efficient.

I would like the ability to customize the attribute table toolbar (add/remove tools from the toolbar), specifically those already present in the hamburger menu of the attribute table window. I often use the Related Data button and having to click on the hamburger menu to access it is quite cumbersome since it is at the far right of the table and also requires an unneeded extra click. I realize the Related Data button is present on the Feature Layer Data tab, but this requires me to click on the specific feature layer that contains the related data for it to be shown. Again, an unnecessary step and quite a distance to traverse on screen when I'm working with an attribute table on another screen.

@KoryKramer I've had some interesting things happen with projects that were converted from ArcGIS Desktop in the past. I assume this was another one of those things due to the conversion.

@KoryKramer It is now working. I'll outline the steps I took below. 1) Opened the Arc Pro project I use daily (where no GP History Favorites persists). 2) Resaved the project with a different name. Performed a new GP task and saved it as a favorite in GP History. 3) Closed the project and re-opened it. 4) Upon re-opening the project a whole list of GP History favorites appeared in GP History. It appears it had been saving them all along, but they weren't visible until I performed the steps listed above.

@KoryKramer I'm working in 2.9.5 and the GP History Favorites don't persist in a particular project I use daily. This project came from a converted ArcMap document, so I'll test it out in a new Arc Pro project to see if it works properly and report back.

I couldn't agree more with all of the posts above. Esri appears to be more interested in the way things look than functionality and efficiency. It feels like change for the sake of change. As one user said above, I'm good with change if it provides benefit to the end user. If ain't broke, don't fix it!

@KoryKramer Thank you for re-opening after further discussion. @Bud suggested I edit the post to use the word "highlighted" instead of "reselected" to clarify the idea. I agree that is a better word choice and have edited the post as suggested.

@JonathanNeal I bet you I don't waste time posting ideas on this site anymore. I'm with @Bud on this one. The least you could've done was let the dust settle before closing.

@JonathanNeal I would also like to add, of course the Yellow selection isn't distinguishable by your tools. If it were I wouldn't have posted the idea. That's what makes it an idea (request to add functionality to your existing software)...

@Bud Thanks for your support. @JonathanNeal I thought the whole point of ArcGIS Ideas was to present ideas to the community for feedback and consideration. Closing an idea within 3 hours of posting isn't a good way to encourage others to present their ideas as well.

I would like the ability to calculate a field for highlighted records in the attribute table (those selected in yellow). I understand you can click the "Reselect" button on the attribute table toolbar to reselect the records and then calculate the field on those newly reselected records, but it would be nice to be able to retain my original selection and only calculate the highlighted records (yellow selection).
