Currently (October 2023), you can use masking functionality in ArcGIS Pro but the masking is not followed when publishing to ArcGIS Online. I could say - what's the point of creating a mask and not being able to publish it?

We also would love to see a masking option in ArcGIS Online. One project I am working on has a range of town areas that we want to highlight and in ArcGIS Pro we can mask out the surrounding areas but it does not publish to ArcGIS Online. It would be great for the masking functionality to be able to follow when publishing.

Thanks @ZacharySutherby I appreciate the link but a comment for Esri in general it would be great to have downloadable examples to be able to see how these things work.

Hello I am trying to create a Survey 123 survey where the user selects the 'AssetID' from a list generated from a layer in ArcGIS Online and then uses the selected 'AssetID' to auto-populate other fields. I have been able to get the list of AssetIDs but can get the auto-populate other fields to work. At present I am trying directly in Survey 123 but also happy to get advice on doing the same in Survey 123 Connect.

Hello all, We have an ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 installation with a HA set-up. Recently we changed the datastore backup location to use an AWS FsX Drive rather than a local drive to avoid issues if one of the drives fails over. These files are then bundled up through the webgisdr process and sent to an AWS S3 bucket for its final resting location. What we are noticing is that the files on the FsX Drive are not being deleted, even though we have the keep backup duration set to 1 day. This means we need to monitor and manually delete the back-up files so the FsX Drive does not fill up. This does not seems to be the case when it was sending the temporary files to a local drive. Is there another setting in webgisdr that I need to activate or is this just the way it works if it is not sent locally?

Thanks @AaronLopez very much appreciated. The instructions were especially useful. It took me a while to figure out the origin x and y but eventually I did see the correct coordinates in the meta data. I now just need to modify for a couple of other projection systems and it will finally be done 🙂 Thanks again.

We have also started getting the same error but the site contains a lot of services, so is there a way to narrow down the services causing the issue? {"code":500,"messages":["Export operation failed. Method argument cannot be null."],"status":"error"}

Thanks @JonathanQuinn and @DavidHoy , we have a number of 10.8.1 servers as well so will test on them and see if the result is any different. This was not the question though, as wanted to see if anyone is using alternatives to webgisdr for backup and restore in an AWS environment with multiple servers in a HA deployment.

Thanks again @AaronLopez , now another puzzle for you 🙂 How do you test a tile layer or base map? We have a state wide coverage of imagery that has been published as a tile service but I can figure out how to test as neither query or export are available capabilities.

Does anyone have any advice around alternatives to webgisdr in an AWS environment? We currently have an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment with relational and tile cache datastores. We do a full backup weekly of everything but an incremental of the relational datastore each day. Unfortunately the incremental (PITR Point in Time Recovery) setting only works for relational datastores, so we are at risk if we need to restore tile cache layers that have changed or are new between full backups. The full backups take close to 20 hours to complete so we don't really want to do a full backup every days as that will impact on performance during normal business hours. Can anyone give me some advice on alternative options or ways to mitigate the risk for tile cache backups? Thanks Dean

Hello we have an image layer that has been published to our enterprise portal and I want to be able to query the tiles that are found for a certain extent but can't figure out how to do it. This is the URL to the published service but https://portal.spatial.nsw.gov.au/tileservicesGDA2020/rest/services/public/NSW_Imagery_GDA2020/MapServer Using the following I can get the tile at 0,0,0 https://portal.spatial.nsw.gov.au/tileservicesGDA2020/rest/services/public/NSW_Imagery_GDA2020/MapServer/tile/0/0/0 But I want to be able to use a query type approach to pass in an extent and for a number of tiles to be returned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
