This feature appears in Pro version 2.4 and later. Still need to add Catalog View support, but Plugin Datasource functionality is definitely there. Can this be marked as implemented?

ArcGIS Pro allows developers to implement support for custom data formats through a combination of Customs Items (ProConcepts Custom Items · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub) and Plugin Datasources (ProConcepts Plugin Datasources · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub ). However, the Custom Items are not viewable in the Catalog View of ArcGIS Pro through either the Geometry, Metadata, or Table tabs. It would be useful for ArcGIS Pro users to be able to preview custom format data in Catalog View prior to adding that data to a Map. It would be undesirable and redundant to try to recreate the Catalog View in my own Addin just to preview custom format data files. Could an programming interface be added to allow ArcGIS Pro to access data from the Custom Item's underlying Plugin Datasource to populate the Table and Geometry tabs in Catalog View? Similarly could ArcGIS Pro Custom Items be modified to allow the developer to override the metadata with their own information derived from their custom file format? Adding these missing pieces (along with case-insensitive file extensions) would bring ArcGIS Pro Plugin Datasources up to the functional level of ArcGIS Plugin Workspace Factories and would allow organizations like ours to move on from ArcGIS.

If I have a list that I use to filter the map and charts, I would like to be able to define the behavior when the application is first loaded, before an item in the list is selected. Specifically, I would like to remove all data from the chart if no item in the list is selected. I believe this could be accomplished by the addition of a new Action type for when the page is loaded or widget is initialized.

Currently, the chart widget can only use a single layer or table. It can support multiple series, but only if they are from the same layer or table. It would be useful to be able to render charts from multiple layers or tables in the same chart.

The Range (Y / Value) Axis of the charts have feature to define starting value, label formatting, and interval. Oftentimes, the Domain (X / Category) Axis is also numeric, especially for XY Plots, and would benefit from having the same features of being able to define the interval, starting value, and label format. Currently, there is no way to set the formatting and the interval is automatically defined.

Plug-in data sources (described here: ArcObjects 10 .NET SDK Help ) are a useful feature that allow ArcMap users to read data from custom file formats without importing them. However, the current development process of Plug-in data sources still involves a relatively complex deployment step that requires an installer project to be created. Installers create a barrier in some organizations if system administrators are the only ones allowed to run installers. Add-ins allows developers to extend functionality of ArcGIS without the use of the registery (as far as I can tell) and without the need to create installer projects. I can implement interfaces like Buttons and Extensions, why not plug-in workspace factorys? Could Plug-in Data Sources be implemented as Add-Ins?

ESRI's documentation articulates it best: "Imagine that there is a regular supply of text files containing geographic locations, but the data in the files has an unusual format. This data should be used in ArcGIS, but converting data each time a new file is received is impractical. In short, ArcGIS should work directly with this data, as it does with other supported data formats. This can be done by implementing a plug-in data source." (Source: ArcObjects 10 .NET SDK Help ) It would be nice to be able to work with custom data formats in the new ArcGIS Pro without the extra steps of import and export. Could something like this be implemented as an add in or extension to the Pro version?
