@EllieLinden within the serial chart - when you first open it - you can select a layer form a map item or you can create a data expression which will allow you to create a new feature set "on the fly" without having to change the underlying data. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/dashboards/latest/get-started/create-data-expressions.htm

@EllieLinden I haven't tried this, but you could have a Data Expression that concatenates the 2 fields you want as part of the hover text. Then use that on the serial chart as the Split by Field.

Thanks for the idea. This is a simple solution to my issue. My end user wanted to add a bunch of records to the survey results and back date them a few months. Adding a captureDate field to my survey and populating the current data points with the Creation date and the "new" old records with the 4 month old date worked great. A small change to the dashboard was needed, but this was a minor detail. This was way easier than turning of Data Tracking, appending, and then turning it on again. I will be sure to do this to all my surveys in the future from the start.

Yes, based on my 2nd question that you answered, I should be able to set up 4-5 levels of folders in my survey - then have a script populate the CSV with appropriate values (on a scheduled task). Then tell the client that they are limited to that many folders deep. Thanks for your help. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-questions/hide-select-one-from-csv/m-p/1383635#M54854

Hello, I have a series of Select One questions - each relying on the previous question for its options using the "Choice_Filter" column. This works great, except for when there is no entry in my CSV for a the answer to the previous question. For instance: When someone selects in Question 1 "Toronto" - I would like Question 2 to remain hidden, as there is no "City" = Toronto in Question 2. Is this possible? Thanks Darryl

Hello, I am trying to create a survey for our field crews to sign off that they watched different videos. I have it working from CSV files so when new videos or new folders have been created, they will automatically go into the survey. I am (using PY) generating the CSV's that populate these questions, so it is dynamic. For example: My question is, if the user adds a 3rd level of folders and then puts videos in that folder, how can I dynamically create this survey to reflect that? I.e. nested questions? Not sure how to deal with this based on the CSVs. I can create the CSVs as needed, but don't know how to structure the survey to read them? Thanks Darryl

We are currently experiencing this on one of our dashboards as well. Did you ever find a solution other than upgrading to EB? Thanks Darryl

Thanks @abureaux , i have this working using this in my choice_filter: selected(${hide_multiselect},label) But this is achieving the opposite of what I want - is there a NOT selected option? so the multi-choice shows the options that are not in my list? Thanks

Hi Doug, I don't think I am still fully grasping this concept. Can you provide a simple example of this? My URL to populate the image above is suffixed with this: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/{MYAGOLID}?field:hide_multiselect=Video_URL_5,%20Video_URL_6,%20Video_URL_8 Which populates the "hide_multiselect" text box - but then in my XLS form - the choice filter for the "Videos Watched" question would be selected(${hide_multiselect}=hidemultiselect) ?? This doesn't really make sense to me? Thanks

Thanks you for the replies and ideas. I am still not sure how this applies to my URL parameter. My original list of videos that are in the "Videos Watched" multiselect question are coming from a CSV - which is generated dynamically, so I don't necessarily know what the values are going to be. But I have figure this out and populated it with my URL parameters - just not sure now how to filter the "Videos Watched" to not equal a value in the "hide_multiselect": So basically, based on the above, i would like to hide Video 5, 6 and 7 from the choices.

I am creating a Dashboard to track users watching safety videos. When a user selects a "season" and a piece of "equipment" they are presented with a multi - select that allows them to click which videos on that specific piece of equipment they have watched. Then they submit the survey. Subsequently, in my Dashboard, i am showing this information, but would like to provide them with a link to the survey - with most of the data already filled in. I have accomplished this using URL parameters, but what I cannot figure out is, if they watched video 1 and video 2 on a certain piece of equipment, how to eliminate those choices on this newly linked URL? So they can only select videos they have not already watched and acknowledged. As you can see from above in my Dashbord Table - i have a URL created using this syntax: ?field:username=" + f['username'] + "&field:season=" + f['season'] + "&field:equipment=" + f['equipment'] but is it possible to have the Video 1 and Video 2 eliminated from my form as choices when it opens? Thanks

Thanks for the info Marcelo. I am able to publish simple feature classes into my datastore without issue, and this fine that it doesn't have the same advanced geodatabase functionality. Is there a way to automatically (script??) update this data on a regular basis though? So when my data changes in my Oracle Database, I can update it in my data store?
