Hi, I have written a tool in my editor extension add-in that allows the user to select a feature from one layer with a left click and then select another feature with a right click, which then performs some analysis. However, when the user right-clicks, I get the Data Frame Context menu, which I want to disable. Does anybody know how to disable or suppress this popup menu from appearing on a right-click? My code is executed on the MouseDown event and I don't have any code in the MouseUp event for the tool. I have found the UID for the Data Frame Context Menu, but I have not seen any methods or properties that allow me to disable it. Thanks! Ian

Hi Russ, That worked! I appreciate the help with this, thank you. You guys may want to change the Help to use this method instead for Android. I think this is easier to implement. Ian

Ok, I found out a little more. This error "The web page at email://UrlBlockedError.aspx might be temporarily down" is actually something my email server puts in after I sent the email. So it was not related to Android. However, I tried to send the link (created by inserting a link) Gmail to Gmail and it strips out the link reference (converts it to plain text). I also just tried sending the link, but Gmail doesn't treat the whole thing as a link (doesn't include the arcgis-collector part in the link). So I tried to copy and paste this directly into the web browser and it does a google search on it, rather than open it in collector. Any ideas? Ian

Hi Everyone, I am having a similar problem. I have created a map and operations view on ArcGIS.com. I created the arcgis-collect schema link as stated in the documentation. When I click on the link on my phone, I get "Web Page Not available. The web page at email://UrlBlockedError.aspx might be temporarily down. My phone is a Samsung Nexus with Android 4.1.1. I also tested that same email on a different Android phone and I get the same error. Collector is already installed on both devices. I did make sure that Collector was running in the background before I clicked on the link. My user account on ArcGIS.com is different from my gmail account on my Android phone. However, on my phone I went into Settings > Accounts and added my ArcGIS.com account as an "ArcGIS" account, pointing to my Organization's URL (which was listed in my profile on ArcGIS.com). It authenticated correctly and shows up in the list. I don't think the account has anything to do with my error, but I wanted to state that on here anyway. The format of my link that I sent to my Android via email: arcgis-collect://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/b5c7b23eb70449e4910c1bcd3a79e189/data Am I missing a step? Is there another way to access my Web Map in the Collector App? Thank you! Ian

Hi, Has anybody seen a "Table already exists" error when trying to sync a replica? Ok, here's my details. Both servers are Windows 2008 R2 64-bit, running SQL Server 2012, with ArcGIS 10.1 SP1. The Parent GDB is using a version specifically set up for the replica, which is derived off of a QA/QC version. The child uses the DEFAULT version. Both use the SDE user and its set up as a 2-way replica. We already have copies of the data at both locations, so I created a custom ArcObjects tool that registers a feature class with an an existing replica, which specifies the "Register Only" option. This code is taken directly from the samples pages and deployed as a custom GP tool. The reason I choose this route is because I need to register over 100 feature classes, within a single replica, and I didn't want to do it manually using ArcMap. This process works fine. After it created, I sync'ed the replica and it worked with no errors. I then found a set of 5 feature classes, that had a different amount of features (missing features in one and not the other) before the replica was set up. I identified the "differences", made a copy of them in a FGDB, deleted them from the parent version, and appended them into the version from the FGDB. In essence, I treated them as newly edited (inserted) features. This was done because these feature classes participate in other versions that are actively being edited at both locations and I can't reload them at either location. Plus I needed to fool the replication process into copying them over to the child so that I could preserve the GlobalID's. After this was done, I reran the sync and I get "Table already exists". Here is an excerpt from the ReplicaLog.dat file. <ReplicaMsg time='11/13/2012 3:13:10 PM' type='LOG_MESSAGE_TYPE_DEBUG' code='' elapsed='0.000000 mins' method='TransferingInsert' objectClassName='Vector.SDE.spill_containment_feature_area' replicaName=''>Inserting {40AF74B7-5E91-45C6-B556-7E24CF98B065} feature</ReplicaMsg> <ReplicaMsg time='11/13/2012 3:13:10 PM' type='LOG_MESSAGE_TYPE_WARNING' code='' elapsed='0.003733 mins' method='TransferingChanges' objectClassName='Vector.SDE.spill_containment_feature_area' replicaName=''>Table already exists - Vector.SDE.spill_containment_feature_area</ReplicaMsg> I have no idea why its trying to recreate the feature class since it already exists and is registered with the replica. There were no replica or schema changes made to the replica's objects since its creation. Ok, so then I tried to do a manual export/import. I got this error when importing the changes to the child. "Import Changes Failed. Table Already Exists. The workspace is not connected. The workspace is not connected...." Has anybody experienced this before? Thank you! Ian

Hi Kate, That is possible. I would start here: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/What_is_a_geoprocessing_service/0154000004v5000000/ Then look at the Clip and Ship GP Tutorial. It's close to what you want to do. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//005700000073000000 Then I believe you can use the Geoprocessing widget which is part of the FlexViewer core. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/index.html#/Geoprocessing_widget/01m30000003t000000/ Hope that helps! I got it working. The problem was because of the self-signed certificate that I installed through the AGS Advanced Admin. I had to hit the server directly to force the download of the certificate into the browser's certificate store. So https://myserver:6443/.

Found out a little more. The GIS Server appears to be running Tomcat as its web server. There is a crossdomain.xml file at its root. According to the documentation, this is open automatically (see below). I am still confused on why FlashBuilder is giving me this error then. Anybody have any ideas on this? Thanks! -From help "By default, ArcGIS Server allows cross-domain requests. A set of client access policy files are placed on your GIS server for this purpose when you install ArcGIS Server. These should not be removed, opened, or modified."

Hi, I haven't seen a post on this yet for 10.1. I am getting a sandbox violation error when trying to access my Print service by directly connecting to the GIS Server from my FlexViewer (https://myserver:6443/ArcGIS/rest/services/Utilities/PrintingTools/...) I know this error is typically caused by a missing crossdomains.xml file (which I added to my IIS root folder), however at 10.1 it doesn't go through IIS like it used to, so I'm wondering where does the crossdomains.xml file go now? Is the GIS Server running its on web server? Thanks! Ian

Dasa, thanks for the info! It helped me find the solution. I just had to disable the IdentifyManager in the ViewerContainer. Here was the function. private function initializeHandler(event:FlexEvent):void { IdentityManager.instance.enabled = false; }

Hi, can anybody tell me how to disable the Log In pop-up in the FlexViewer 3.0 version? It's the one that pops up for secure feature layers. I customized my viewer code to obtain a token from the query string and assign it to all my services, but I still get the log in prompt. I don't want to use this in my app. I haven't been able to locate it in the source code anywhere. Thanks! Ian

Hi, Is it all services or just the Geoprocessing ones? I had an issue where none of my GP services were running, including the 3 system ones (CachingTools, PublishingTools, ReportingTools). I installed a fresh copy of 10.1 on a machine that originally had 10.0. The problem was a missing pointer to the Python folder (e.g. C:\Python27\ArcGISx6410.1\Lib). Put that in your Environmental PATH variable and restart the ArcGIS Server service. Hope that helps. Ian

Btw, thanks for the response! I did find that reference you were talking about. I changed my number to 102113 (and some other ones in that list), but its still throwing that error. I tried the CreateGeographicCoordinateSystem() method and its works. Also tried: IProjectedCoordinateSystem inProjCoordRef = null; ISpatialReferenceFactory2 inSpatRefFact = sc.CreateObject("esriGeometry.SpatialReferenceEnvironment") as ISpatialReferenceFactory2; ISpatialReference inSpatRef = null; inProjCoordRef = inSpatRefFact.CreateProjectedCoordinateSystem(102113); inSpatRef = inCoordRef; Same error.
