Has anybody else experience an issue where ArcReader 10.8.1 just terminates, crashes, or whatever term you what to use, when you try to open a pmf document. The application itself opens fine but then when you navigate to your pmf file and try to open it, Reader just quits, terminates. I don't even get the usual crash dialogue box. I tried a repair and a clean uninstall and Re-install. Issue seems to be happening to one individual. My guess it is video card or some type of driver issue? All graphic card drivers are updated.

Hey Nick. I forwarded this thread onto esri, I just happened to have a case opened for this. This morning when troubleshooting this, I opened a brand new mxd and added my point layers that weren't showing up and republished a brand map service and they showed up. Not sure what happened between last week and today, because I did not do anything different today then i did last week when trying to troubleshoot this. I wish I had a better answer/help for you but I am still not sure what caused it to finally work. I will definitely keep you posted if I stumble upon a more definitive reason behind it not working

It just crossed my mind that sometimes when this behavior happens, usually a compress and index rebuild on database and the GDB_Items table on the sql server sometimes fixes it. I will try that if that works I will let you know. Thanks

So as another follow up I added all our point layers to a mxd and left their symbols as the default symbol they get loaded with. published and they all displayed in collector, including the valves and service connections that were not displaying. So I am going to assume it has to do the with the symbology

as a follow up I upgraded our DB to 10.8.1 and published services every which way simple points, with esri valve point symbols (like we have been doing for years) and still not getting any points to show up in collector. Also the weird thing is that services published with 10.7.1 draw. So not sure if there is bug or not like 10.7.1

1. Yes 2. yes we have domains. But again like I said we have been using these domains and subtypes for a while now 3. ArcMap 4. No they show up when being viewed on AGO The only thing I can think of is that we have yet to update our sde geodatabase from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1 I will try that let you know. But it seems to be doing the same behavior as it did when they put out the patch for 10.7.1 server

We just upgraded to 10.8.1 and we are experiencing the same thing as we did with 10.7.1 which was fixed with the patch. My question is, anybody else experiencing this with 10.8.1 as well. I checked the support page and didn't see a patch for 10.8.1 for this bug only for 10.7.1

So I noticed something weird that just happened in either AGO or Collector. I created a feature service then created a map in AGO opened map in collector and it is now forcing the field i used to symbolize my layer on, (the one we want to edit), as being a required field. I have not seen this behavior before. Also it is treating the field that it is forcing to be required as a field with a domain value, when it is simply a text field with no domain and is set to allow Null values. It did this when I published from PRO and 10.7.1 and yes we are using the newest collector anybody else seeing this. Thanks

We are planning on moving our ArcGIS Server and GeoEvents and License manager all currently at 10.6 from our old server (2008 R2) to a new server (Sever 2016) which was spun up on our virtual server environment by our IT peeps. My question is the order in which to do the authorizing and de-authorizing, uninstalling, installing. And maybe I am over thinking this but, can I just install license manager 10.7.1 and Server and GeoEvents on our new server. (And obviously upgrade our exiting web adapter that sits on our dmz to 10.7.1 and repoint that to our new server name, url, etc) Authorize all software on new server since it will be a different version as the currently installed versions. then go back to our old server and de-authorize and then uninstall everything. I just want to make sure that I have the order right before I start de-authorizing, authorizing, uninstalling and installing a bunch of stuff. Also we do not, and are not planning on federating our server with portal. Thanks
