Yes - I should have added that. The issue was actually two problems: 1) ArcGIS Pro doesn't apply the correct permissions on the sequence when the feature class is created in Pro. There is a bug raised with Esri (BUG-000150110) that is yet to be resolved. The workaround is to manually apply the permissions via SQL (not via pgAdmin dialog - see below) as follows: GRANT ALL ON SEQUENCE <sequence name> TO <user name>; 2) There is/was a bug in pgAdmin when applying permissions to a sequence using the dialog that incorrectly set the OWNED BY on the sequence to NONE. I reported this at the time and it may have been fixed in later versions. The workaround is to apply the permissions using SQL as above. I hope that helps and apologies for not putting the resolution on here earlier.

@Daniel_l- I ended up not using an mmpk and so the solution relies on a vtpk being stored somewhere on the file system of the device along with the resources.zip files containing the different styles.

FYI - I also raised a support case for this and have been told that there is an existing enhancement request (https://my.esri.com/#/support/bugs/bugs?bugNumber=ENH-000136762) but this currently states that "Development does not currently intend to support this request". So I would suggest any customers that require this or are concerned that they may be breaching their data suppliers license agreement by not displaying copyright attribution in Field Maps, raise a support case and ask for their name to be added to the enhancement request (ENH-000136762). I suspect this would apply to anyone using Field Maps with Ordnance Survey data (including their open data) or basemaps that contain OS data, OpenStreetMap and other third party data providers.

Currently ArcGIS Field Maps can be opened using a set of pre-defined URL parameters (see https://doc.arcgis.com/en/field-maps/latest/prepare-maps/deploy-your-map.htm). These are ok for some basic workflows, such as creating a specific feature in a predfined layer. However, we have customers in the utility sector (also applies to others too) that use work management apps (e.g. Salesforce, SAP etc) that would like to integrate with Field Maps using URL links in a more general way. For example, one workflow might be to launch Field Maps at a specific work order location and then allow the user to collect multiple different features which are then all linked to that work order. This type of workflow is currently very difficult to acheive in Field Maps with the available URL parameters and Arcade (e.g. the work order information must be passed in as attributes of a specific feature). I would like to proposed that a customParameters parameter is added to the Field Maps URL schema. This could be a json string representing a dictionary of objects. For example: {myParam1: "Some text", myParam2: 123} These custom parameters could then be made available in Arcade through a function (e.g. GetCustomParameters) and therefore used within forms, field calculations, popups etc. This would allow passing in generic custom parameters into Field Maps from other apps and use of them within Arcade, either for populating attributes (e.g. work order number etc) or in logic within forms (e.g. if job type is x then enable certain fields within a form). Adding this functionality would improve and extend the integration possibilities for Field Maps and help customers acheive more advanced workflows in the field.

Completely agree with this. It's not best coding practice to have multiple copies of the same code and creates a maintenance nightmare. If we could create re-useable functions, like you can in pretty much any other coding/scripting language, and re-use those within the same map, that would be very useful and also help create more robust applications for customers/end users.

We have recently noticed that ArcGIS Field Maps does not display any copyright attribution/credits notice alongside the map or anywhere within the app (see below). The Markup > Share screenshot option also produces a map image that does not include copyright attribution/credits (see below). This appears to be contradictory most other ArcGIS apps (including Pro and web apps) where copyright attribution/credits is displayed, either as text or as an clickable/expandable area (see below for examples). ArcGIS Pro: ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Web App (Instant App): ArcGIS Web App (Instant App) Whilst I understand there is limited space within a mobile app, almost all data (even free/open data) requires display of copyright attribution/credits alongside the map as part of the license terms/terms of use, including data within Esri and other third-party basemaps. Technically, using such data within ArcGIS Field Maps may currently be breaching copyright/licensing terms, because no such attribution is displayed or available. The suggestion is to provide a clickable/expandable button within the map area in Field Maps, which displays attribution from all layers in the map (including basemap and operational layers). This should work in a similar way to ArcGIS Pro. This is very important for most organisations/customers/partners, who may not be able to deliver solutions using Field Maps due to the licensing requirements of their data providers.

I'm not overly familiar with ST_GEOMETRY in Oracle, but as the data is points, things to check might be: Does ST_IsSimple() return true for all records? Are there any null geometries? - I recall there are potentially different ways of creating a null geometry (e.g. the geometry column was specified as Null or a geometry with null coordinates was added). You can potentially use ST_IsEmpty() or just where <geometry column name> is null. Another alternative, if you have access to it, is to use Data Interop or FME to read the records from Oracle and then check the geometries with a GeometryValidator.

Yes completely agree. There needs to be an option to SELECT (not filter) using URL parameters. This would also include: Selecting an item in a list. Selecting a feature on the map. Both of these can be used to drive other actions.

Thanks for confirming. If that's the case, it would be useful if this was stated in the documentation. It would also be good to know if there's an automated way (through arcpy or .net SDK) to check out a license?

That's useful to know. However, it's not connecting to portal at all, so there should not be a requirement to sign in. The whole point of taking a license offline is to remove the need to connect to portal. Yes - when I say it needs to be manually checked out again. Basically, when there are issues with the license, when you log in as that user, the "Authorize ArcGIS Pro to work offline" option has become un-checked. Manually checking that option and closing ArcGIS Pro fixes the issue. The workaround to have a task run on a schedule to sign in regularly may be an option, but this shouldn't be required in my opinion. The license should stay checked out/offline until it's manually checked back in.

We have a customer that is using arcpy to run scripts on a schedule. To ensure there is a license available, they have set up a named user and assigned a pro license and have then taken that license offline for the user account that is running the python scripts. However, periodically the license seems to be returned automatically and it must then be manually checked out again. I cannot find anything in the documentation that suggests there is a timeout or time limitation on check out of the license. Can anyone confirm if there is a timeout for taking a license offline and if so, what the time period is? The customer is currently using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.x.

Absolutely agree that having error trapping (e.g. try/catch) is an essential requirement. This is both for capturing unexpected errors from library functions and for capturing errors within our own code. Without this capability, if we use arcade to do anything slightly more complex, end users can end up with a poor user experience when things go wrong.

@Clubdebambos- I'm aware of the capability to turn on/off editing for feature layers, but this is different from feature layer editing. This is locking of editing of the item itself and is probably more applicable to non-feature layer items (e.g. web map/web app items) but could be extended to prevent editing of item details/metadata for all items, including feature layers and perhaps things like modification of feature layer views.

I would like to suggest a "Lock Editing" option similar to the "Delete prevention" option on ArcGIS Online items. This is to prevent accidental modification of the item (e.g. web map, web app) by others in the organisation that have the correct permissions. For example, we have several web apps and associated web maps that are used as live applications by others in the organisation. However, it is relatively easy for someone with the correct permissions to open the item (especially web maps in Map Viewer) and accidentally edit and then save. This change then affects the live application(s). Having a "Lock Editing" option on the item, would prevent a user (even with the correct permissions) from editing the item and saving, without first disabling the "Lock Editing" option. This would work in a similar way to "Delete Prevention", forcing the user to make a concious decision to edit the item. For example: Note that this is separate from turning on/off editing of feature layers. This is to prevent editing of the ArcGIS Online item itself and is probably most applicable to web maps and apps, but could equally be applied to item details/metadata of feature layers and/or editing of feature layer views etc.

Absolutely agree that the option to create a selection set from the query widget would be very useful as the resulting selection can then be used by other widgets. After all, this is how the query functionality generally works in the desktop apps.
