Point to Raster is not working for me. What is odd is that there is no error message. In fact, there are not messages at all. The "Results" show as if the tool worked, but there is no raster created, and viewing the messages shows a blank. I have tried various things to work around the problem: 1. Changing the z valued used from double to float, to integer 2. Changing the format of the output from file geodatabase to tif 3. Changing the format of the input points from file geodatabase to shapefile 4. Changing the cell size larger and smaller I am running this command in ArcMap 10.7 The input points (in the shapefile format) are attached. I have used this before, but I just recently upgraded to 10.7 and I wonder if that is where the problem lies?

It turns out that if the numpy array is masked, the NumpyToRaster fails with the misleading error message about the dimensions of the array. So the solution is to fill the masked array before running the command.

The following code: arcpy.AddMessage("shape of zOutput {} ".format(zOutput.shape))
arcpy.AddMessage("no of dimensions of zOutput {}".format(zOutput.ndim))
# Convert array to a geodatabase raster
myRaster = arcpy.NumPyArrayToRaster(zOutput, arcpy.Point(xmin, ymin), cellsize, cellsize, -999999) produces the following output. As you can see the numpy array IS two dimensional. Yet NumPyArrayToRaster fails. shape of zOutput (375, 524) no of dimensions of zOutput 2 ... ValueError: Argument in_array: A two or three dimensional NumPy array is required. Is this a bug in NumPyToRaster? Is there some other way to export a numpy array to a raster?

There appear to be issues with Arcpy exporting maps with annotation to PDF, JPG, etc. Sometimes the annotation gets exported with the map, sometimes it does not. I have checked the scale dependencies (there are none for the annotation), the fonts (it is just plain Arial), and everything else that I can think of. What is really curious is that if I run the exact same code in the Python window in ArcMap, it does export all the annotation. If I run it outside of ArcMap, it does not. There are no error messages, or any other indications of issues. This is really annoying and I have spent quite a few hours messing with this. This is with ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1 version.

So I have to manually change the data frame extent to "Automatic" on hundreds of MXDs? That just sucks!

APPEND tool really sucks! What is a "field mapping object" and how did you create that? Thanks

This did not work for me. So this bug with ApplySymbologyFromLayer is still not fixed in Pro v 2.2 sad to say.

Well, I guess that I have the same problem because saving rasters after raster algebra often (although not always, curiously) fails with ERROR 999998. This leaves me extremely frustrated with ESRI raster algebra functions which seem to be unreliable.

Was there a resolution to this issue? I have getting "RuntimeError: ERROR 999998: Unexpected Error." trying to save the results from arcpy.sa.EucAllocation running 64-bit python. It appears to me that EucAllocation is creating a corrupted result, but the error message is most unhelpful it could be some environment setting but there are no clues.

Hi Marius: You can find the 10.2.2 SDK download on my.esri.com (go to the "My Organization" tab, then Downloads) that install should have the required DLLs for Diagrammer.

None of these solutions worked for me this time, although at various times in the past one or the other of these techniques did work. There seem to be about a 100 ways that this thing can get off the track and it seems to do that spontaneously, at any time (but especially when there is a deadline looming) and I have wasted literally DAYS messing with these and other solutions trying to fix this. This sucks!

the esri.arcgis.geodatabaseextensions.dll and geodatabasedistributed.dll are not in the SDK directory. Could those be from an earlier release of the SDK? Version 9.x? I can't find them. And Diagrammer fails looking for them. Anyone have any ideas where those might be found?

Just for fun, and because I just spent a week in Iceland on vacation (awesome place!) I pulled some quake data from the Iceland Meterologic site and displayed the recent quake swarm under the Barðarbunga volcano in ArcScene as a time series. At the time (about 5pm Iceland time on 19-Aug-2014) there were 1,600 quakes in the last three days. In this series it appears to me that they are starting to focus in a vertical column which could indicate magma movements towards the surface. I have attached the ArcScene (v10.0) project with a file GDB of the data, and a georeference image of the surface. Could be interesting soon. Note: the data is available here: http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/vatnajokull/#view=map And there is a pretty cool visualization on the web here: http://baering.github.io/ (NOTE: This does not seem to work in IE, but does in Chrome) Way easier that ArcScene...

I've tried to set the proxy server in the AGX options thinking that might be the problem but Find still never finds anything. Any ideas on what is wrong. Other than Find not working, build 1200 looks pretty nice. Charles
