First, I don't know what SOE is. But I don't think it matters. I'm responding to make sure you know that an ESRI shapefile is not a SINGLE file. An ESRI Shapefile is a collection of files (minimum 3, maximum like 7). So when you say you didn't get a known format (shp or zip) you won't get a single file. If you export to a shapefile you will get a collection of files with the same root name and each having a different filename extension (ie: .shp, .dbf, .prj, .shx, ...)

I'm assuming the script you had running while using Desktop was a PYTHON script. That being the case, why can't you run that same script in PRO? Import that script to your toolbox and run it.

I have editors creating new features and then providing attribute values. I need those attribute values to be entered using UPPER CASE Only. By what mans can I get that accomplished? Is that a DOMAIN thing? Using ArcGIS Portal 10.7.1 The app is a Portal App populating a SQL Server (SDE) feature class. Users are creating these features using the Smart Editor in a Portal APP.

Just an FYI. The answer is NO. There is no way to get to that suggestion list until the "suggest.complete" event. At that point the list can be accessed and modified. To get to that list before, it seems you need to write a custom widget.

Using the Javascript API v.4.16 Search widget is tied to a feature layer. Trying to sort the suggest list by 'match score' (custom code). Is there an event that will allow me to get to the suggest list BEFORE it is displayed? As it is now, it has to display twice...original, then sorted.

Robert, Thanks for your reply. I've looked at that and that's what I'm playing with now. But isn't the SUGGEST LIST already displayed by this time? I'm going to take that list, sort it, then display it again. I'd like to sort it before it gets displayed so the user doesn't have to wait for a 2nd display. Is that possible?

Javascript API, v4.16 Trying to sort the Search Suggestion list beyond a field ASC or DESC. But first, how do I grab the list before it's displayed? I need the list, sort it based on my criteria, then display it. Can I get to that list before it's displayed?

I finally figured it out. The KEY being the first line in the section at the bottom: view.whenLayerView(layYards).then(function(layerView){... The "whenLayerView" listener on the "view". So now when I pass that FeatureID value and this layer is loaded it begins the process of querying and zooming. Require Statement: require([ "esri/Map", "esri/views/MapView", "esri/layers/FeatureLayer", "esri/widgets/LayerList", "esri/widgets/Legend", "esri/widgets/Search", "esri/tasks/Locator", "esri/renderers/UniqueValueRenderer", "esri/widgets/Expand", "esri/tasks/IdentifyTask", "esri/tasks/support/IdentifyParameters" ], function( Map, MapView, FeatureLayer, LayerList, Legend, Search, Locator, UniqueValueRenderer, Expand, IdentifyTask, IdentifyParameters ) { ... // and the end of the JS file looks like: ... // Zoom to the feature ID passed from the AnL Site view.whenLayerView(layYards).then(function(layerView){ var query = layYards.createQuery(); query.where = "LocationCode = '" + strLocationCode + "'"; layYards.queryExtent(query).then(function(results){ view.goTo(results.extent); // go to the extent of all the graphics in the layer view }); }); }); // End of REQUIRE

Javascript API v4.16 Building a page that opens up a map and zooms to the extent of the feature ID passed to it from the previous page. So far: 1. the feature ID is set in the "localStorage" of page 1 2. in Page 2 I retrieve that value and attempt to zoom to that feature. 3. I have a function that will do the zooming but I can't get it to work. 4. Here is the function: function zoomToPassedFeature(strLocationCode){ // Create a QUERY for a feature layer in the map const layQLayer = new FeatureLayer({ url: strMapServiceURL + "/FeatureServer/3" // Yards layer }); const query = new Query(); query.where = "LocationCode = '" + strLocationCode + "'"; layYards.queryExtent(query).then(function(results){ view.goTo(results.extent); // go to the extent of the results satisfying the query }); a. if I put that function within the REQUIRE code block I get: ReferenceError: Query is not defined b. if I put that function outside the REQUIRE code block I get: "zoomToFeatureExtent()" no defined. How am I supposed to be doing this? thanks!

I was having this same problem. Found out the problem was... my next line was only 50+ feet and I had SNAPPING turned on. When entered, the line immediately snapped back to ZERO length -invalid geometry. Turned SNAPPING OFF - problem fixed.

"Enable symbology updating" - where is this accomplished? I'm having the same problem. Some, usually the first 2 or 3, layers in my MAP I am able to configure the POP-UPs. But when I attempt the same on the 3rd or 4th layer I click "configure pop-up" and nothing happens.

Not sure to whom this question is being asked, but In our case the MXD would never open. I'm talking about an MXD that was used with ArcGIS v10.3 trying to be opened by ArcGIS 10.4. Using the machine with 10.3 installed..we had no problems opening up the app, adding data from the 10.4 server. The 10.3 software can read the 10.4 data. We could have created new MXDs in this configuration. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that this machine was working fine with 10.3 installed and reading MXD's created in 10.3 Installed 10.4 and now it can't read the same MXD's. Upon opening the app would crash.

Sorry Bill, I don't know how to answer your question. I'm not clear on what you mean when you say "sql server client to sql server 2012 Native Client". Where SDE is installed (along with Server) we have SQL Server 2012 installed. That is where our ArcGIS 10.4 Server and data is. We have our 10.3 data on a SQL Server 2008 machine. We have our 10.4 data on a SQL Server 2012 machine. We used a ARcGIS deskotp machine with ArcGIS 10.3 installed to updated the paths to all data layers from the 10.3 server to now point to the same layers on the 10.4 server. Now that all those MXDs are updated - we upgraded ArcGIS on the desktop machines to ArcGIS 10.4 and all the MXDs are accessible and are having no problems. At some point in the not too distant future we will get rid of the 2008 server completely.
