I am using Enterprise builder to install a single site Portal with Server on Windows 10 Enterprise. The install appears to go well, but the setup in the browser keeps failing. I get the following message: Unable to register the Portal with the Web Adaptor. Please make sure that the Portal is running and that the account specified has administrative privileges. (Screenshot attached). There does not appear to be a Portal service running (I am not sure if there should be, also screenshot attached). This is my first time installing Enterprise, but I have gone through and made sure I did everything in the instructions. I am not even sure which account it is referring to. How do I verify if portal is running and if it is not, why would that be that case?

If I have an image service based on a mosaic dataset, is there a way to do raster operations on any two overlapping datasets via the rest api with the rasterFunction interface. For example using the following taken from the help, can raster1, raster2 etc be items in mosaic dataset in the image service. If so, how do I reference these datasets? { "rasterFunction" : "Local", "rasterFunctionArguments" : { "Operation" : <operation> //int see reference below. "Rasters":[<raster1>,<raster2>,<raster3>] //array of rasters. If a scalar is needed for the operation //the scalar can be in double or string "ExtentType" : <ExtentType>,//int, optional, default 0. 0 = esriExtentFirstOf, //1=esriExtentIntersectionOf, 2=esriExtentUnionOf, 3=esriExtentLastOf "CellsizeType" : <CellsizeType>,//int, optional, default 0. 0 = esriCellsizeFirstOf, //1=esriCellsizeMinOf, 2=esriCellsizeMaxOf,3=esriCellsizeMeanOf, //4=esriCellsizeLastOf }, "outputPixelType" : "<outputPixelType>",//optional "variableName" : "Rasters"//optional}

I am trying to create a raster function chain through the rest API (Image Service). I can't seem to get the syntax right for a conditional operation. This is what I have but it is causing me errors: rft = new RasterFunction(); rft.functionName = "Local"; rft.functionArguments = { "Operation" : 76, "Rasters" : [rfc, rf1h, rf1l] }; rft.variableName = "riskOutput"; rft.outputPixelType = "U16"; How do I paramaterize the conditional, true, false values correctly. I can't find examples anywhere. Thanks

Yes, it'll be in 10.1 as a Value Table parameter. Now that the pre-release is available, would it be possible to discuss how this is done in 10.1. I understand how to have a value table as an input parameter, but not how to make it prompt the user using the list of fields from the selected feature layer(s) in the user places in the value table.

I am trying to create a Python Toolbox in ArcGIS 10.1 and can't seem to replicate something like what I see in the Summary Statistics tool where the user builds a Value Table that contains a list of Fields and then within the table the user must pick from a list of valid Statistic types (SUM, MEAN, etc). Anyone have an idea or experience doing this? Thanks.

I really appreciate the help. I was thinking it might be something like that. The MapImage doc says that it does not have a constructor, that is what threw me off.

I see this topic has been posted before with no response: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/36898-How-to-use-MapImageLayer-in-Layers?highlight=MapImageLayer So I will try to be a bit more specific. I have an series of static PNG images that are georeferenced that I want to show on the map. Is MapImageLayer the best way to do this and how is to be done. I have tried something like this: var mol = new esri.layers.MapImageLayer({id:"cwlayer", opacity:0.7}); mol.addImage({extent:newextent, height:h, href:imagelocation, scale:1, width:h}) map.addLayer(mol); Does anyone have an idea how to do this (without or without using this method). Basically I just want to place an image on the map and pretend it is a layer. Trying to migrate some code from Openlayers.

Is there a REST request that can be made to a result map service that is created from a geoprocessing task? If so how would the url be formed, or is there an example written up?
