My apologizes for cross posting, but I did not get any response on the rest board. I am using the arcgis python api to push data into my arcgis online account and then publish the data to a group. Using the following code I am able to do all this, but when I look at the published table, it's empty. I have also tried to do this trying to set the last parameter to csv, and passing None values into the address field mapping. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get this to work? print('Add table into account') item = gis.content.add({}, data) print('Publish table') published_item = item.publish(None, {"Neighborhood": "BLOCK"}) published_item.share(groups='<group_id>')

ok, here is what I wrote up as a standalone check prior to arcpy: import arcview if arcview: print 'arcview license is available' else: import arceditor if arceditor: print 'arceditor license is available' else: import arcinfo if arcinfo: print 'arcinfo license is available' else: print 'no license is available' import arcpy

i have a script that edits sde and requires info or an editor license. I know that you can use import arcinfo or import arceditor but if you have two imports, one will fail. So how do you use this pattern to require one or the other? Thanks in advance for your help.

ok, so one part of my issue is that the documentation suggested that they only took arrays of json, and really, when it's a single statistic field it wants a non-array of json. But now, using the web interface, it still does not work: http://secmaps.dublin.oh.us/arcgis/rest/services/Misc_Data/MapServer/33/query?where=0%3D0&text=&objectIds=&time=&geometry=&geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&inSR=&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersects&relationParam=&outFields=Status%2CStatusCount&returnGeometry=false&maxAllowableOffset=&geometryPrecision=&outSR=&returnIdsOnly=false&returnCountOnly=false&orderByFields=&groupByFieldsForStatistics=Status&outStatistics=+%7B%0D%0A++++++++%22statisticType%22%3A+%22count%22%2C%0D%0A++++++++%22onStatisticField%22%3A+%22Status%22%2C%0D%0A++++++++%22outStatisticFieldName%22%3A+%22StatusCount%22%0D%0A++++%7D%0D%0A&returnZ=false&returnM=false&gdbVersion=&returnDistinctValues=true&f=html any ideas??

I am working on some python code to do a semi-spatial join using the new geometry options in the rest end points. I can't seem to figure out why my final query won't work. I think that it's event statistic json that I push: event_statistics = json.dumps([ { "statisticType": "count", "onStatisticField": event_aggr_field, "outStatisticFieldName": event_aggr_field + '_count' } ]) The entire code is on github here. Any ideas?

table to table is not a line by line cursor for writing tables, you should be able to point directly to your tables and set the output destination and name.

Hi, I am getting a resolving error on the "TableToNumPyArray" tool. I have added all the folders I think are important for this, but I still can't get the error to go away. Any thoughts? I have the following folders setup as external libraries: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\arcpy C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\bin C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1 C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\DLLs C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\Lib C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\Lib\lib-tk C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\Lib\site-packages

Hey folks, I have upgraded to 10.1 and am now finding that the py files keep converting to read only after running the script tool in arcCatalog. This is a little frustrating because idle doesn't know how to handle saving to read only files. Has anyone else seen this issue or have a solution? -Guido

I am trying to create a map with a local indicator. The main data layer is assigned a rotation from a field, using data driven pages. I would like the inset map rotation to match the main layer which is being adjusted using data driven pages. Any ideas?
