Hello, My question is very simple and perhaps it has been answered elsewhere, but thus far I have not read a concrete answer to it. I have 20 years of homicide data at the county level which I wanna show in different maps simultaneously. During this period, there was a significant increase in the overall trend. Considering that my variable had such a dramatic increase, my question is: What would be the best classification method for comparing different time maps at the county level simultaneously? (Equal interval or Quantile?) Is there any technique or method to build comparable labels for cross-time comparison maps (i.e. consider maps with different ranks for 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005) I hope my question is clear enough. Any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Guillermo

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately I don't have crime incident data. I only have crimes aggregated at the polygon level.

Hi I have polygon data for three different crimes in a city on a monthly basis (36 months in total). I would like to see if these crimes cluster in space AND time. Is it possible to do this kind of analysis in ArcGIS? I've been trying to do it in Geoda or CAST, but there are no tutorials addressing this specific question. Any guidance is much appreciated.

Yes I did. I even posted the same question there, but no luck so far. Anyways, I managed to solve this issue. Apparently, when creating the network dataset you must choose NO in all the steps (no turns, directions, etc). That allowed me to use the tool. Thank you anyway for answering.

Thanks for your quick answer Dan. 1.Here's the link to the tool: Urban Network Analysis Toolbox for ArcGIS — City Form Lab 2.In order to run, the Centrality tool requires a polygon or point file and a network dataset (see image below): I found a comment in the Urban Network Analysis Group Forum where someone faced the same issue. And later said he solved the problem by flattening the network from 3D to planar (already sent him a message, but no answer so far When I created the network dataset, I did not specify any Z values for elevations, but still, I'm not sure if I should change the settings anyway. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hello I recently downloaded the Urban Network Analysis (UNA) toolbox to perform a betweenness calculation for some neighborhoods. When running the tool I get the following errors: "ERROR 000864: Input raster: The input is not within the defined domain. ERROR 000367: Invalid GP data type Failed to execute (Raster to Polygon)" I find these error really weird because my input is not a raster, rather it is a network dataset that I created in the ArcCatalog. Has anyone come across these issues? Any advice would be much appreciated. Tks

My apologies, as I said, I'm REALLY new at this stuff. I found this PySAL toolbox for ArcGIS and here I found some scripts and thought I could use them. Currently I am struggling with doing a maxp regionalization but I have no idea on how to set the parameters. I have a shapefile containing 2,457 counties with data on population and homicides.

Hi all I recently downloaded pysal subpackages and added several of its scripts (here). Nonetheless, I have not been able to run any of these scripts because the tools "have no parameters". I am very new at this. Does anyone know how should I input the parameters for these tools or where can I see the process? Thanks in advance Jose

Dear community I want to use some layers that are contained in the following WMS: http://gaiga.inegi.org.mx/NLB/mdm5.wms (Specifically the layers contained in the MGE group). For that purpose, I need to convert these layers to shapefiles or to whatever format I can actually use, but I haven´t been successful at converting or exporting this information. Does anybody know what can I do to convert this layers? Is there some kind of "trick" or method for that matter? Thanks in advance G

Thank you so much. I couldn't view the attribute table after Displaying the XY Data. Thus, I changed the properties of my table and that resolved my issue. You're the best! Thanks for everything.

Thank you so much. Indeed, now the points allign with the shapefile; nevertheless, I now face two problems: 1. Whenever I try to project the data, I cannot do it. It says that it "Failed to alter the spatial reference". 2. I noticed that when I open the attribute table, nothing shows up. It seems like the information just disappears. The attribute table is blank. Why is that? do you have any clue?

Hello Community I have data for some incidents in Sucre, Venezuela. I've tried to match the point data with the shapefile, but I haven't been able to make them match. I already tried to project the data using the same projection system as the other layers. I also used Add XY Data and selected the UTM Zone 19 projection system, but it didn't work. Can someone help me out? Thank you very much in advance

Hello everybody I was wondering if anybody knew any tutorials on how to use the multi-distance spatial cluster analysis and Space-Time cluster analysis. I've already read the descriptions and help tools, but still there are some things that I do not know how to interpret. Especially for crime and delinquency statistics. Thus, I think an example might be useful. Any advice or videos that I can see will be helpful. Many thanks.
