Hi Derek Thanks for the response. I have seen both of those examples, however the attachment editor loads up all the attachments in a list of links using the dijit. It seems pretty difficult to then access the URL's / attachments at runtime. I've been trying to pull the attachment list from the widget after a query but the dijit doesnt provide any oncomplete or onupdate events. How would you reccommend using the dijit to get the attachments at runtime. As I said before I need to get the images for an image gallery. Thanks, Graham

Hello I'm stuck on an issue at the moment trying to get attachments from a secured Feature Service. Basically what I am trying to do is display attachments associated with a record in the popup in an image gallery. I've been able to build a URL based on results of the query and I am using a XMLHttpRequest to get the JSON of the Attachments page for the record. Example URL: http://sampleserver3.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/SanFrancisco/311Incidents/MapServer/0/4388173/attachments?f=json&callback=dojo.io.script.jsonp_dojoIoScript103._jsonpCallback This returns the JSON object containing the attachment info and then if there are images the URL can be modified to append the file names to use them as the src of the images in the image gallery. This works fine on non secured services but when I tried to access our live service which is secured with SSL my request is returning an access denied error. Im not sure what is the best practice to get at the attachments but there doesn't seem to be anything in the API for it, unless I'm missing something. Has anyone else tired to do this and is there a solution? Or is there a better way of doing it that I am missing? Thanks in advance, Graham Whelan

Hi Robert. I am using your TOC widget and I have found a small bug which you can re-create with the following steps. Load up the widget and minimize each layers drop down Move the Raster up 4 times, Move Events down 1 time, Move Parcel Data down 1 time. The Parcel layer seems to fall out of the tree structure and go down to the end. You can then move other layers down and they also jump to the bottom which causes problems as the bottom layer can have a move down option. By the way thanks for all the widgets you post they are really helpfull.

Hi Im having trouble finding a solution for my problem. I have a widget which basically shows some of the attributes from a feature layer. It works fine manually displaying the attributes but there is a requirement for the widget to refresh its values when the layer is changed. For example if I was to use the out of the box edit tool and change one of the records the other widget has to listen for this change and refresh. I have done this sort of thing before in javascript (and in flex but within the same widget). Is there a way to listen for the event or any other solution that does'nt invlolve using a timer that refreshes. Thanks, Graham

I have moved the Geoprocessor declaration down to an isolated function which is only called on a button click. Even if it is declared and never instanciated it throws the error. When the declaration is commented out it works fine. Is there an issue where 2 Geoprocessor's cannot be instanciated at the same time in a flex viewer?

I found what was causing the problem by creating a new widget and copying in each bit one by one to the point that it failed. I dont understand why it caused the issue but private var gp:Geoprocessor = new Geoprocessor(); was in the global variable declarations at the top of my widget and that stopped the geoprocessor in my other widget from functioning. Can anyone give me an explanation for why this is a problem, or is it some underlying API issue. Thanks, Graham

Hi I've spent a full day trying to figure this out but I cannot see any reason why my application is throwing the following error. I have two widgets compiled against the 2.3.1 api which basically take a feature from the viewer and passes it into a GpTask. If I run them separately both widgets work fine. However if I run one widget then the other, the second one throws the error, no matter what order. In fact I only have to open either of them and then try to run the other and it throws the error. I have spent the day commenting out the code in each widget line by line to the point where the no code is being ran. The Gp Task is on ArcGis server 10. Can I get access to the code referenced in the code below and/or has anyone encountered this problem? Thanks, Graham ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property displayFieldName not found on com.esri.ags.tasks.supportClasses.GPRecordSet and there is no default value.

Hi Domenico Thanks for the response. I tried your code and a few other similar examples but i keep getting a 403 error when the proxy tries to access the service. For the config im using
<serverUrl url ="https://212.147.136.135/ArcGIS/rest/services/DoEHLG/ACTIVITIES/FeatureServer"
matchAll="true"
dynamicToken="true"
host="https://localhost/imds/"
userName="USERNAME"
password="PASSWORD">
</serverUrl>
I'm obviously doing something wrong somewhere is the config code correct? A snippet from the htm.
esriConfig.defaults.io.alwaysUseProxy = true;
featureLayer = new esri.layers.FeatureLayer("https://212.147.136.135/ArcGIS/rest/services/DoEHLG/ACTIVITIES/FeatureServer/0", {
mode: esri.layers.FeatureLayer.MODE_SNAPSHOT,
outFields: ["*"],
id: "featureLayer"
});
And this is the error that appears after the request is denied/times out
Error: Unable to load proxy.ashx?https://212.147.136.135/ArcGIS/rest/services/DoEHLG/ACTIVITIES/FeatureServer/0/query status:403

Thanks again

Hello I have a javascript application that connects to an ArcGIS server and does some functionality with the feature services. Today we added token based security to the rest end point which means I can no longer access it without the appropriate login details. Can anyone provide a code example in javascript or point me in the direction of an example, of how to get a token using login details and store it/use it for a defined period of time. I cant find anything on the resource center. Thanks in advance. Graham

Post update of new features collected succeeded however they have not been updated in the server. It cannot be seen in ArcMap or ArcCatalog. Thanks
