I have both 2008 and 2012 SQL Native Clients installed on my desktop. Our SDE database where we store images is version 10.1. We are not using Raster Catalogs. We have been installing the SQL native clients for quite some time in order to take advantage of direct connections to our SDE databases. But I'm digressing.....

We're using SQL Server 2008 R2. The photos are loading fine now with the production Pro 1.0 version.

To connect to an enterprise SDE database: 1. Insert Tab > Connections > New Database Connection 2. Project tab on the right side of screen shows Maps, Toolboxes, Databases, Styles, Folders. Expand Databases--you should see your connection named with the instance that was used. Here's where you can rename the connection if needed. (We couldn't rename these connections in the early beta versions.) With Pro 1.0 (not the pre-release) I can bring in high resolution photography (3 inch) from an SDE database without any hitches. Yay!

User error. I was using the wrong URL to our feature service. We use a reverse proxy. Initially I tried to add data to our ArcGIS Online account with the internal server name which, of course, won't work. I successfully (and quickly, I might add) added the feature service in question and I see all of the data layers. Worked like a charm. Thank you for your feedback.

Daniel, I'm experiencing the same problem as Leon. I cannot successfully configure a feature service on our Open Data app that was created locally after "supposedly" adding the service to our organizational ArcGIS Online account. I keep getting error messages that the data hasn't been harvested. I let it spin and spit for over 24 hours and still nothing. I am, however, able to configure a shapefile of the data in the Open Data app that I've uploaded to the our organizational ArcGIS Online account. Our preference is to tie into a feature service that we are hosting locally that points to a variety of different data layers that visitors to our Open Data app can then download at their convenience. We are hoping that this is an option with the Open Data app, so that end-users will always have access to current data. What we don't want to do is to upload refreshed shapefiles to ArcGIS Online that then have to be reconfigured everytime to work with Open Data. Our in-house process is now just that: we post refreshed shapefiles monthly to a webpage that are made available for free to the public. We had hoped that the Open Data app would help preclude the necessity of developing a download, clip-and-ship app in-house that would conceivably tie into a feature service. Thank you, Gary Zaepfel Washoe County, Nevada Customer# 89 gzaepfel@washoecounty.us

Every time I attempt to drag and drop an image file stored in a 10.1 SDE database, ArcPro 1.0 crashes. I noticed this with the Beta versions. I can load ECW mosaic files (for example) stored in a traditional folder on a Windows server. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

A client of ours uses ArcPad 7 on a mobile device. We are in the process of upgrading to ArcSDE 10, and upgrading all desktop users to ArcGIS 10. The client is concerned that the mobile hardware they are using won't support ArcPad 10. They are asking if they can keep using ArcPad 7 on their mobile device after their desktop software has been upgraded. Will ArcPad Data Manager 10 allow check-in of data that has been edited in the field using ArcPad 7, and that was checked-out with Data Manager 9.3.1? Thanks for any help! - Gary
