If I remember correctly there is a way to pull the data out of a mobile cache and export to a file GDB. I think it is actually just a sqllite database. It's been a long time since I worked with mobile but the data should be able to be saved if you can get the data out of sqllite which can be done with python. There are also some free sqllite tools you can use maybe instead of python

We use the distributed database tool set as way to separate environments and also as way to integrate GIS data with platforms such as asset management solutions that integrate with ESRI Geodatabases. It has been an effective toolset for us we also integrate checks and QC into the replication script we run nightly to clean or stop bad data from getting moved to certain environments.

2 way or 1 way replication is the solution that I use in my environment seems to work best. Implementing versions will still have schema locks and version management is much more of a pain depending how it is setup and not managing versions properly causes performance and data consistency issues which is a common problem I see often people wonder why there SDE performance is terrible when they have a blocking version that is 5 years old. Replication can be setup to where it is automated with less oversite I get a report every time replication completes and I run it nightly as scheduled task as well as blocking all connections so I can be confident no users or services are hitting the database. Way more time saving than making sure if a person has properly closed out a named version. I have had some great success with replication but there are pitfalls such as a replica version getting corrupted but it is fairly easy to fix by rebuilding the replica also attachements have messed up replication due to size . Changes to database objects should be scripted and then done within a maintenance window so users are not in the system and all services can be stopped so there are no locks on the database. Having them scripted in python is fairly easy and can really shorten your maintenance window as opposed to doing it manually.

This would be helpful for staff to be able to access plan sets in pdf format while using collector at the same time to do side by side comparison. or also using a web browser with collector at the same time to possibly view other data that is not in the collector app (Such as data from another application that is not stored in ArcGIS or in the collector app). There are various scenarios where staff have requested this functionality in the field. This also allows staff to not have to back out of screens and takes advantage of the multitasking environment especially useful on the iPad Pro.

Currently collector does not support multi-tasking as an app. Having this ability would allow you to run apps such as a web browser and collector side by side if needed. This would be a nice efficiency enhancement.

I have had no progress with Verizon however I did find in some preliminary testing that if I https for the services in the web map I was able to get it working with Verizon LTE connection. Not sure if that helps it still doesn't fix the issue this was working fine for years prior with just http.

I did the same and was able to edit a feature service from a Verizon connected iPad using a web app builder hosted on ArcGIS.com but there is still an issue with Collector not loading layers. I am waiting to hear from Verizon as well I will post on here if we get a resolution from either ESRI or Verizon.

I have the same exact issue that actually started this week and can't seem to pin it down but we have found that it is only an issue with Verizon. I tested it with other providers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint all seem to work but when using Verizon not all of the layers load and the performance is terrible. We did find that if staff use VPN with Verizon it actually works even though this is not optimal. I am thinking there is some type of DNS or Routing issue with Verizon I am waiting to hear back from them. This started for us on Monday this week I believe everything was working fine prior to Monday. We found the issue on iPad's and iPhone's. I'm not totally sure what is going on but it has to be something on Verizon's end if this is happening to more than one group.

Totally agree it is a terrible workflow to use offline data collection with collector. We have had nothing but problems as well and end up having to maintain multiple edit services.

turning this on and putting a zero in the box will resolve your issue since you have a vertical coordinate system assigned to your feature class.

When you have a vertical coordinate system it will automatically be z enabled. You may be able to remove it but exporting to a layer without the vertical projection may be the quickest route.

You have a vertical coordinate system assigned to this layer you will need to recreate it without the vertical coordinate system and you will not see that error in collector. If you need a vertical projection then you can use the setting in the service.

If your data has z values you will need to turn on a setting on your feature service to support editing data with z values. it can be done through catalog or manager it is just a check box in the service properties.
