So is it not possible? I thought I would be able to do this since it is quite trivial in something like Leaflet or OpenLayers, kind of disappointing if it is in fact no possible...

I am trying to build a web application in which I will have to use data from features on the map to call an external REST API (not a feature layer or anything like that, just an external API). The data returned then needs to be visualized as various types of graphs. I would like to have some more direct control over how the graphs are created and so I want to get access to the source code, but I cannot find a way to download the application for direct editing. I have messed around with the various web app creation functionality on our organizations arcgis online portal but I cannot find a way to do this. How can I create a graph using an external REST API call using attributes from features? I will probably have to manually parse the response JSON. I expect that I would probably have to modify the source code directly, so how can I do that?

Is it possible to load more than one raster in the same scene? The problem is that the region of interest has extremely high spatial resolution, so much so that resampling the surrounding raster to its resolution results in a 60GB file.

I have created a TIN that I want to add to a CityEngine scene. Can I just add this TIN directly? A problem that we had before was that we wanted a very high level of detail in a small region, but it is part of a much larger region. So I created a TIN that has a much higher node density inside the region of interest than outside of it. I would like to add this to the scene in CityEngine but it seems to only allow addition of a raster. Is it possible to just add a TIN instead?

I have a web service containing many different layers, organized in a group structure. It appears that the groups also have indices, and so I thought that I would be able to add the URL to the group layer and have all of its sublayers show up, but none of them do. As seen above, I tried to add the URL to the "Agriculture" group (.../MapServer/14), but nothing shows up on the map when I do. Is there some kind of special trick to this or is it simply not possible?

We are visualizing a tiff image in our web map. We have set the layer properties to say that black pixels are to be treated as background, and that they should be displayed as transparent. Visualizing it in ArcGIS Desktop confirms that this is working properly. However, as soon as the layer is published and the layer is put into a ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer, the white pixels seem to become transparent. We cannot seem to identify the cause of this problem. This is the code (SETTLE_VP_ORTHOPHOTO is a variable storing the rest endpoint for the layer.): var VP_ortho = new ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer(SETTLE_VP_ORTHOPHOTO ,{ id: "VP_ortho", visible: false }); This is the service layer definition: Layer: mos_VP_2.tif (ID: 0) Name: mos_VP_2.tif Display Field: Type: Raster Layer Geometry Type: null Description: Definition Expression: N/A Copyright Text: Default Visibility: true MaxRecordCount: 0 Supported Query Formats: JSON, AMF, geoJSON Min Scale: 0 Max Scale: 0 Supports Advanced Queries: false Supports Statistics: false Has Labels: false Can Modify Layer: false Can Scale Symbols: false Use Standardized Queries: true Extent: XMin: 2065234.8595104713 YMin: 6195018.263458403 XMax: 2068324.6069604708 YMax: 6199050.734858402 Spatial Reference: 102100 (3857) Drawing Info: N/A Advanced Query Capabilities: Supports Statistics: false Supports OrderBy: false Supports Distinct: false Supports Pagination: false Supports TrueCurve: false Supports Returning Query Extent: true Supports Query With Distance: true Supports Sql Expression: false HasZ: false HasM: false Has Attachments: false HTML Popup Type: esriServerHTMLPopupTypeNone Type ID Field: null Fields: None

Hi Ken, thank you for your response. I changed my web service from MapServer to FeatureServer, but I don't know if that made a difference or not. The real problem was that my script was importing arcgis javascript api 3.9 instead of 3.20.

I am trying to create a web map with javascript, and I keep getting this error. Hi Ian, Someone on stackexchange GIS also suggested a schema lock issue, which turned out to be true. I thought at first it was a problem with a da.UpdateCursor, but I used a with statement, so it should be releasing the locks. Doing a del statement on the row and the cursor still didn't help. In the end I was able to fix it by quickly copying the features to a new feature class and deleting it after. Not optimal, but it works. I think that there is some kind of schema lock applied by MultipleRingBuffer() that isn't releasing properly. I found an old question on stackexchange that described a similar issue but it inexplicably stopped happening for them so there was no real insight to be gleaned from it.

The formatting broke the code. This is it: cell_size = float(GetRasterProperties(in_raster, 'CELLSIZEX').getOutput(0))
env.snapRaster = in_raster

I am trying to convert a polygon feature class (created intermediately as part of a larger process) to a raster, which will have the same snap settings and cell size as another input raster. However, every time i try to run it, I get this error: ExecuteError: ERROR 000918: Cannot retrieve feature class extent. I cannot find any help on this issue and I don't know what to do. I have already seen this question and it did not help resolve the issue. This is the code: cell_size = float(GetRasterProperties(in_raster, 'CELLSIZEX').getOutput(0)) env.snapRaster = in_raster PolygonToRaster(buffer_fc, z_field_name, stamp_raster, cellsize=cell_size) return None The same parameters work when I execute "Polygon To Raster" diretly from the ArcToolbox GUI.

I am writing an arcpy script that at one point uses MultipleRIngBuffer, and then modifies the attribute table of the features that are created. I have created a GUI for the tool as a script in a toolbox. The first parameter is the input feature class, which will be buffered and have its attribute table modified. It is of "Feature Layer" type. If I use the table of contents entry for the feature class which I wish to buffer, I get this error: ERROR 000732: Input Features: Dataset GPL0 does not exist or is not supported However, if I use the direct path to the feature class (i.e. through ArcCatalog), it works. I am hoping to resolve this somehow because I want users to be able to drag and drop TOC entries into the GUI like they can with any other tool. Thanks.
