It is an out of the box template. It is not public but I can share the html code. Sorry the code isn't in the proper format. When I tried to include it earlier you couldn't see any of the code. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title></title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://community.esri.com//js.arcgis.com/3.8/js/dojo/dijit/themes/claro/claro.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://community.esri.com//js.arcgis.com/3.8/js/dojo/dijit/themes/claro/document.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://community.esri.com//js.arcgis.com/3.8/js/dojo/dojox/layout/resources/FloatingPane.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://community.esri.com//js.arcgis.com/3.8/js/esri/css/esri.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/layout.css"> <!--[if IE]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ie.css" /> <![endif]--> <script type="text/javascript"> var path_location = location.pathname.replace(/\/[^/]+$/, ''); var dojoConfig = { parseOnLoad: true, packages: [{ name: "esriTemplate", location: path_location }, { name: "utilities", location: path_location + '/javascript' }, { name: "apl", location: path_location + '/apl' },{ name: "templateConfig", location: path_location }] }; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="//js.arcgis.com/3.8/"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> dojo.require("esri.layout"); </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="javascript/layout.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> dojo.require("utilities.App"); dojo.require("templateConfig.commonConfig"); var i18n; dojo.ready(function(){ i18n = dojo.i18n.getLocalization("esriTemplate","template"); var defaults = { //The ID for the map from ArcGIS.com webmap: "c43401a925db4ccda056a74a18e63e03", //Modify this to point to your sharing service URL if you are using the portal sharingurl: "http://www.arcgis.com",//for example: "http://www.arcgis.com", //The id for the web mapping application item that contains configuration info - in most ////When editing you need to specify a proxyurl (see below) if the service is on a different domain //Specify a proxy url if you will be editing, using the elevation profile or have secure services or web maps that are not shared with everyone. proxyurl: "", //cases this will be null. appid: "", //set to true to display the title displaytitle: true, //Enter a title, if no title is specified, the webmap's title is used. title: "Military Installations", //Enter a description for the application. I currently am using a pretty vanilla template that I use to host a map on our server. For some reason the legend will display on IE but does not work for Chrome/Firefox. Any idea why this would be? Thanks

I know about those styles. ArcMap 8 (and I assume 9) had some styles that did not come with 10.2. All of the styles in the pdf I linked to in the initial post are not in that file path. I'm asking how I can download older ESRI created styles to use in the newer (10.2) ArcMap or is this not possible?

I understand what you are saying but my question is not how to add styles but where I can find them. I have been able to find PDFs that show the styles but unable to find an actual file with the styles to import.

Is there anywhere I can download older ESRI styles for symbology? I found this PDF (http://downloads.esri.com/support/documentation/ao_/Military_Units.pdf) which has some of the styles from 8.3 that are no longer on 10.2. Is there somewhere I can download these styles so that I can create a new style within 10.2? Thanks!

I've noticed on a map that I have published that labels from different layers are overlapping. Sometimes, even appearing on top of each other. I uploaded each layer as an individual service and added it to my map online. Would this be the cause of the issue? I am trying to avoid uploading the map as a single service because we are going to be caching the layers. However, not all of the layers are always going to be selected so the cache wouldn't work. I could be wrong but if I shared the service with Layer A, B, and C (only B and C are selected) and cached that my service would have a cache for the predefined levels with only B and C selected. In our case someone would want to be able to look at all combinations. Hence the need to cache each layer individually. So is there a way I can manage ArcGis online so that my labels from different services do not overlap? Thanks!
