Hi All, I need to check some indices on some tables in SQL server SDE. I have the S number for the table that needs to be reindexed, however, I can't find the magic decoder ring for determining the business table name in order to perform the reindex. I know that the table number in the sde.table_registry gives me the adds and deletes tables, but my experience in the past was that the s, f, and i table numbers weren't the same as the adds and deletes. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks a bunch! Lorinda

I've run into this as well. I have an enterprise system with about 700 feature classes that we have in an enterprise db that also has portal items published. I can't use any of them with my AR due to FeatureSetByPortalItem not being able to be used by AR in the SDE. I also can't just put all of this data in the editing db to be able to use FeatureSetByName and $datastore as well. THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF AN ENTERPRISE GEODATABASE SETUP! Also we are using our own internal enterprise/portal/server set up as we can't put this data on ArcGIS Online either. ESRI - when will you be making the FeatureSetByPortal items available in ArcPro AR? Some of us can really use this functionality. Thanks, Lorinda

That allowed it to valid, however, now it is complaining about "Undefined keyword is used in the dictionary return script. [attributes]" when I try to insert a new record. I've checked my column names from the StreetCenterline feature class - they are all spelled correctly. I did remove the 'minDistance: dist' line as that is not in the feature class that I'm adding data to. I have tested the base part of this script with just one column being filled in and it worked. It seems to be the use of 'attributes: {list....} that is tripping me up. I am using the same column names in both my address point and street centerline feature classes. Would I be needing the "result" term in there at all? Thanks, Lorinda

Hi All, Think I'm just completely overlooking something here. I'm attempting to get the closest street to a point for an address and gathering the individual components of the name for the address point. Here's what I'm attempting to use for the code. It was telling me that I needed another curly brace, checked them all, they all matched up. Now it says that the else is a reserved word on the second else on line 37. Any help is appreciated. Lorinda var fsn = $feature.FullStreetName;
var streetLayer = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "server.dbo.StreetCenterline");
var pre = $feature.PreDirection;
var sn = $feature.StreetName;
var st = $feature.StreetType;
var post = $feature.PostDirection;
var searchDistance = 150;
var streetIntersect = Intersects(streetLayer, Buffer($feature, searchDistance, "feet"));
var cnt = Count(streetIntersect);
var minDistance = Infinity;
if (cnt > 0) {
for (var street in streetIntersect) {
var dist = Distance(street, $feature, "feet");
if (dist < minDistance) {
var stparse = {
attributes: {
pre: ["streetLayer.PreDirection"],
sn: ["streetLayer.StreetName"],
st: ["streetLayer.StreetType"],
post: ["streetLayer.PostDirection"],
fsn: ["streetLayer.FullStreetName"],
minDistance: dist
}
}
} else {
var stparse = {
attributes: {
pre: "",
sn: "",
st: "",
post: "",
fsn: ""
}
}
}
} else {
// pass no features found within search distance, name remains null
var stparse = {

}
}
}
}

That's a bummer. Glad you found a solution though. However, this project will not be used in the field, so that wouldn't work for my needs - at least to my knowledge. I've not worked with the new field maps yet - only collector, quick capture, and survey123. Although my user doesn't really want a map to be edited, he really wants a form. So maybe I should bark up that tree? But tried it with Survey123 and found a bug that is a show stopper. Thanks, Lorinda

Hi, I've got 13 Attribute Rules, all calculations (some grabbing data from another table, some setting a Y/N value, some making data all Upper case, and 4 that are actual math or date calculations), on a feature class. I've done the editing as the data owner, tested, all work as expected. Change the user to the sql authenticated user, tested, they all work as expected. Then I publish the feature class to our Enterprise Server and Portal, grant the permissions needed. Add this feature service to a web map/app, works as expected. When I add the feature service to a Pro project (we have things locked down to minimize oops), one of the 13 AR calculations just does not work, one of the math calculations - and it is to be done before one of the others, so it is done earlier in the order. I have tried with and without auto apply, entering the data in a specific order (it calculates based on one of two fields to be determined based on a domain). When I add the feature class directly to the Pro project, the AR works as expected. I have redone the rule a couple of times, resaved, republished, rinse and repeat. I have done this process of using a sql authenticated user for a feature service in a web map/app several times in the past, only without Attribute Rules. This process will also be added to a Survey123 Form in the future, so it needs to work correctly and reliably. ETA: Pro 3.1.x; some the calculations are all non-editable, they are insert and update, I have checked 'Exclude from Application Evaluation'. What gives? Thanks, Lorinda

Hi, Has anyone tried this AR technique with taking the deleted feature that has a code to search on "class = D" but instead of copying the geometry and attributes, only copy the attributes to another table and then delete the geometry? Our original data was in a flat file format in oracle, now migrating to a pro project and using as many attribute rules as possible. The original deleted table has no spatial reference, so we will be just moving the attributes to it. I'd like to do an AR, but do have other ideas with a geoprocessing data model or using a script in FME. Thanks, Lorinda

Hi, Using Pro 3.x; writing Attribute Rules. I've got an expression that it keeps saying that it needs a close parenthesis. I've put this expression into Notepad ++ and it shows the matching parenthesis. Doesn't seem to be any missing. Is this perhaps a false message and I'm missing something else? I am actually trying to mine the data in the comments field looking for each of those words/phrases (except I don't want the comments that have both STORMWATER and LIFT in them. I did try those on the previous if statement, didn't work there either. Any help appreciated, cause I'm just not seeing it. Thanks, Lorinda var comments = $feature.Comments var ckcomments = $feature.CheckComments var discount = $feature.Discount if (discount > 42) { ckcomments = 'Y'; } else if ((Find("WASTELAND",comments,0) >-1) || (Find("SUBMERGE",comments,0) >-1) || (Find("LAKE BOTTOM",comments,0) >-1) || (Find("POND",comments,0) >-1) || (Find("HOA",comments,0) >-1) || (Find("ZERO",comments,0) >-1)) { ckcomments = 'Y'; } else if ((Find("STORMWATER",comments,0) >-1) && (Find("LIFT",comments,0) = 1)) { ckcomments = 'Y'; } else { ckcomments = 'N'; } return ckcomments;

Actually the other issue was solved by putting the fieldtype as null as well. Now to see if the form works as published for editing existing data and for add new!

Hi Robert, That worked great for several of the fields in my survey that I need them in there to gather data, such as x, y and setting my urls for the layers. Thanks a bunch for that tip! Now it has another issue that I will reply to my original post with.

Hi All, I've got a S123 Survey that is set up to pull existing data that has Attribute Rules associated with it in the SDE. I've already set up the Pro Project and the Web App for editing in that format. However, the client prefers to have a form to fill in without using a map (it's the way it's been done since the client has been here). So, my AR has calculations that are WAY too complex for the S123 form, and the result has to be set to non-editable as the calcs are set by council and the state. Using Connect 3.17 and have the form pulling the data as it should. Tried to publish and it gives an error about custom feature service submission url is not compatible and that a field is not editable. I' attempting to publish to our Enterprise Portal at 10.9.1. If it has an issue with one field not being editable then it seems to me that it would also have an issue with the fields for editor tracking - which will be turned on - that are non-editable as well. Anyone have any suggestions? And not make the field editable, can't do that. Thanks, Lorinda

Josh, Sorry for delay, was out of office for a bit. Made the changes but then get this message Have tried several different ways of doing the zip_feat.ZIP_CODE; also tried using the alias name for the column, tried entering the GUID for the layer name (unless I had the wrong one). Now going to look into FeatureSetbyID or byName.

Thanks Josh, I figured that is was something silly that I was overlooking. I'm rather new to ARs and this is only my second go around - first wasn't filling in data from other sources, only calculating values. The other project was using Arcade for filling in info boxes, it seems to be much different than using Arcade for AR. And I'm finding very few examples online. So I changed it to this and now getting nothing. So I'm still missing something on it. Did try both .ZipCode and [ZipCode]. // This rule will calculate the Zipcode the site address falls within // Define the Site Addresses fields var portal = Portal('//server.domain/portal/') var zip_field = "ZipCode"; if (IsEmpty(zip_field)) { var fs = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, 'Zip Codes', 0, ['ZIP_CODE'], true); var zip_feat = First(Intersects($feature, fs)); zip_field = zip_feat['ZipCode'] } else { zip_field = zip_field } return zip_field;

Hi, Have searched the forum but didn't find anything. I'm writing attribute rules in ArcPro for the LGS Addressing. I'm wanting to fill in columns from other data that has been published to our Enterprise Portal. Parcels, Zipcodes, Municipalites specifically, I've got the var for the portal item and set up the AR, it all validates. However, when placing a new feature, it fills in the columns with the text for the name of the column - PID, Zip, City - not the value. Any help would be appreciated. One of the ARs: // This rule will calculate the Zipcode the site address falls within // Define the Site Addresses fields var portal = Portal('//server.domain/portal/') var zip_field = "ZipCode"; // column name in Situs Address layer if (IsEmpty(zip_field)) { var fs = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, 'Zip Codes', 0, ['ZIP_CODE'], true); var zip_field = First(Intersects($feature, fs)); } else { zip_field = zip_field } return zip_field; Thanks, Lorinda

I'm using 3.1 and following these steps and also still getting the dreaded red exclamation mark as well. It is mighty annoying to have to change the source data by going and selecting the feature dataset, then the feature class for some 50 items in a project. EXTREMELY tempted to go back to the source doc in arcmap and change it there and then re-import back into pro. At least in desktop catalog IT WORKS RELIABLY for the change in data source. I echo, Has a solution been found?
