Has anybody experienced a problem trying to use Deed Drafter on a 32-bit machine? Has anybody successfully used DeedDrafter on a 32-bit machine? I've read all the Deed Drafter supporting documentation and it doesn't say anything about requiring a 64-bit environment. Our ArcGIS 10.2.2 installation works just fine on the same machines. Basic configuration info: 32-bit WIN7Pro SP1 and ArcGIS 10.2.2 with patches (1022-DT-GFSS0-Patch, 1022-DT-PFGM-PatchB, 1022-DT-GD-Patch) Out of 8 workstations have 2 with 32-bit WIN7Pro and get a System.Exception everytime the user tries Deed Drafter. The text body of the error message reads (See attached): System.Exception: Error initializing ArcGISRuntime. Unable to load ArcGISRuntime deployment ---> System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'RuntimeCoreNET.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT:0x8007007E) at ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.NativeRuntimeMethods.SetInstallPath(String path) at ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.ArcGISRuntime.Initialize() --- End of inner exception stack trace--- at ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.ArcGISRuntime.Initialize() at DeedDrafter.App.Application_Startup(Object sender, StartupEventArgs e) The RuntimeCoreNET.dll can be found in the DeedDrafter folder but it Windows will not register it saying it is a 64-bit .dll. Any tips to get it it to work on a 32-bit machine? Thanks

Thank you Melita. I had searched github without success, which is nothing out of the ordinary for me, so you've not only answered my question but you've motivated me to not give up utilizing github. Thanks again.

My staff have been troubled with Deed Drafter failing to provide the area of cogo'd descriptions. It isn't a matter of closure since DD is reporting High Accuracy, but simply the field that normally contains the area calculated returns "Invalid" instead. Has anybody else experienced this and found a solution? Thanks.

We are in the process of preparing/migrating our parcel data into the parcel fabric. About one month ago I had a test enterprise gdb operating on our server in 10.1 ArcServer, MSSQL2012, and accessing on local machines with ArcDesktop 10.2.2. Multi-user editing in a versioned parcel fabric was successful. The only problem was database maintenance since SQL2012 SQLAgent would not work without a critical update or service patch applied to keep it from throwing an error (MS documented issue) every 90 seconds. Therefore we updated MSSQL to 2012 SP2, knowing that would take care of SQLAgent. Along the way (prior to the SQL update) we updated our server to ArcServer 10.2.2. Once the updates were in place I created a new enterprise gdb and implemented appropriate database maintenance via SQLAgent. I imported our cadastral .xml, added data, created users/privledges, registered the parcel fabric as versioned, and enabled the Local Government Information Model - oooops, errors showed up The same or noted by Jeff Ward in his Feb 19, 2014 post: Editor tracking report: Editor tracking: Editor tracking not enabled on class ParcelFabric_Parcels Editor tracking report: Editor tracking: Editor tracking not enabled on class ParcelFabric_Control Editor tracking report: Editor tracking: Editor tracking not enabled on class ParcelFabric_Plans Could this have anything to do with MSSQL2012 SP2? Did we shoot ourselves in the foot with this update? We don't want to go into production if the CreatedBy, CreatedDate, MOdifiedBy, MOdifiedDate aren't properly populating with Editor Tracking. Any ideas or input very much appreciated. Thanks

Christian, Just what I needed to know. I recall being told a couple of years ago that it was necessary to migrate using the same kind of geodatbase but couldn't find any detailed info on it now. All the new developments/options over the last couple of years has really made things much more simple. Thanks for the prompt response.

Is it necessary to migrate data to a parcel fabric in a SQL based geodatabase from a SQL based staging geodatabase, or can the staging database be a file geodatabase? Thanks, Joe J.

The misclose ratio is currently not supported in the user interface, but is something that can be viewed when integrating the new parcel into the Parcel Fabric using ArcGIS desktop. I would add this to http://ideas.arcgis.com/. Chris Buscaglia Local Government Solutions Team Thanks for the response Chris. For us the closure accuracy is one of the very first evaluations of any new document/description. If closure doesn't meet the standard then the document is simply indexed in our records management system and a letter sent out to the parties involved. Never gets to the parcel editors which is where you're saying the closure ratio is apparent. It is a nice simple tool to construct the boundary and evaluate 'fit' but that's not enough to make it useful here. Thanks again, and a big thank you to your parcel fabric team.

Is it possible to get a closure error ratio (MiscloseRatio property) reported back in Deed Drafter? The distance and bearing are useful, but the closure error ratio tends to be the crux in deciding the accuracy/validity of a legal description. I really hoped this tool would be something I could implement with my staff but without the closure error reporting I have to reconsider current workflows, etc... which just isn't worth it. Just one clarification, it is a very good tool but could be awesome!
