I also just found out that the same thing happens when you add an action in Layer #1 to filter the list of Layer #2. Other widgets do not seem to cause this issue.

In Dashboard (not Classic), when I set up layer actions of Layer #1 to enable filtering of a list widget of Layer #2, the pop-up of Layer #1 becomes completely unusable when there are zero results in the list widget of Layer #2. The pop-up text disappears and the Select tools do nothing. The pop-up and select tools work great if there is at least one result. For example, I have a Cases point layer and Inspections point layer. When I click on a case and there have not been any inspections, the pop-up becomes unusable until you unselect the feature. However, if there has been at least one inspection for the case, the pop-up continues to work great.

I now see the Distinct option, however, it is not working as I had hoped. I have a CIP Project Location feature layer which is referenced. Projects can have multiple locations, so I not only want to display a location count (N = 330), I also want to display a project count (N= 105) . I added a Survey123 dataset and got it to work. Does Distinct only work on hosted feature layers? That would be disappointing. Or do I need to create a newer version of the referenced layer to get it to work with this newer functionality? I tried saving the Classic map in the new Map Viewer platform and then creating a dashboard from the new map, but that did not work either. I also tried creating a new map from scratch and added other hosted and referenced layers. It works on some fields, not all, with hosted - some give the incorrect overall total count instead of distinct count of values. Referenced gives a No Data result. I have not yet checked out data expressions. Thanks for the suggestion @patrickb.

Function Required: Accessible search that enables users to select a ward and get project results as a count, as a text list and filtered in a map. Data available: Department of Transportation street projects - line feature layer. Wards - polygon feature layer. Projects can cross into multiple wards. Nothing that I've tried so far with dashboard and web app builder works well without a mouse. Does anyone have any experience building something like this in Hub? Thanks

Good question. Was just wondering that myself. I understand how to set up the Get Current Weather action with this thread, but how can I see that information in the survey record?

Please consider somehow adding Worker Name and Assignment Type description fields to the Assignments layer of Workforce projects without the need for Arcade or other workarounds. Currently, dashboard is unable to pull in arcade expressions, so I cannot display worker names in the List widget. Instead, I have to enable an action to open a pop-up that displays the arcade expression value of worker name when you click on a List item. You also cannot order by label name in dashboard charts, so even if you manually entered in every worker's full name for each WorkerId - a tedious process that requires manual updates as workers change - your graph still orders by WorkerId instead of alphabetically by name. The useful descriptions of Worker Name and Assignment type could also more easily be brought into other applications like webhooks used in Survey 123. I still have not figured out how I can display the assignment type and worker name in an email sent after submission of a survey created from a view of the assignments feature layer. I can only bring in WorkerId and the AssignmentType integer values, which are not helpful to the email recipient.

Any response from Esri on why line merging functionality has not been added to the Edit widget in webapp builder? Without this functionality we have to look to other options to enable people to use a web app to edit data.

I'm also seeing this issue. Find candidates works great with intersections, but suggest returns nothing. All locators have suggest enabled. Neither single nor composite geocode services work. Source locators are in a folder. I believe the Arcserver is 10.4. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Hi Alison, Unfortunately, we still don't understand what happened to make either the tables/views without an object ID, or the MakeTableVIew tool, behave differently with 10.3.1. We ended up adding a step in the script to search for the ObjectID field. If there is an ObjectID proceed with MakeTableView, if no ObjectID, CopyRows to in-memory. The remainder of the script is the same. This in not ideal for several reasons, but it works for us for now. In response to Dan's reply: "Did you try it somewhere else than in-memory? or perhaps without a whereclause to narrow down whether it is for some inputs, all, or a combination?" We tried modifying output location and whereclause in different combinations, but nothing worked. If you find another workaround, or potential cause of this error, can you please post it? I will do the same. Thank you, Jessica

Hi, Since upgrading ArcGIS Desktop from 10.2.2 to 10.3.1, we receive a new error in our python scripts that use MakeTableView - arcpy.MakeTableView_management(sourcewrkspc + sourcedata, "in_memory\\" + layer, whereclause). The script error is as follows: ERROR 000358: Invalid expression Failed to execute (MakeTableView). Further tests revealed that the arcpy.MakeTableView does not work on tables with no OBJECTID. Registering the table with the database generates an OBJECTID and gets rid of the error, but this is not an option for some of our tables. Has anyone experienced this problem with 10.3.1 and know why this error happens? Is there a fix besides creating a workaround to add an OBJECTID? Thank you!
