Hola Andreas, I wanted to see if your data is coming from a fgdb, mdb, sde or a shapefile? I would then want to know how many layers are you checking out and the "Action" option you are using to check them out of ArcMap. I would then ask if you have had success in checking out one layer at a time, from within ArcMap? These should identify the layer that may be causing the issue being seen, were ArcMap is crashing. Look forward to your responses on this issue with ArcMap and ArcPad. Gracias, Andreas! Hola Matt, Here are a few external GPS receiver's we have seen success from our customers in the last year or so, that have been paired with Collector on all three platforms. Please keep in mind these are not suggested by Esri but just some that I have seen through various cases. Gracias, Matt! Robert, As Robert mentioned above, the Design Mode is only accessible on the desktop and not the device but once you make your changes on the desktop. Each expression is stored in a file called ArcPadExpressions.apx. TheArcPadExpressions.apx file must always accompany the ArcPadPrefs.apx file. By default, both of these files are located in the My Document\My ArcPad folder. If you place your ArcPadPrefs.apx file somewhere other than the default location (for example, in a project folder along with an app shortcut), ensure that you place the ArcPadExpressions.apx file in the same location. I hope this helps on what you are looking to have on the device. Gracias, Robert! Juan

All! As Bert suggested on the post he added to the discussion. There are several suggestions within that post not only by Russ but others on that chain. I have seen success with using a custom basemap that has labels on the vector data, annotation feature classes, etc. Gracias, All! Juan

Hola Brian, I understand you wanted to know if ArcPad 10.0 is compatible with ArcMap 10.3.1, and the answer is Yes. ArcPad is an independent model, there’s no ‘compatibility’ needed between it and ArcMap. The only component that is related to ArcMap is the ArcPad Data Manager, where it will leverage the Check Out/In data component. This can be used overall with just about any supported versions of ArcMap (ArcMap 10.0-10.3x). I hope this addresses your question but we are here to assist if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Brian! - Please keep in mind if you have ArcPad 10.0, this may be the overall issue you may be seeing. I would suggest acquiring ArcPad 10.0.5, uninstall ArcPad 10.0 from both the PC and mobile device. I would then install ArcPad 10.0.5 on the PC, then deploy it onto the device. - Always make sure to have your ArcPad registration code available, you are able to use the same one you had for ArcPad 10.0 in ArcPad 10.0.5. - You can download ArcPad 10.0.5 from MyEsri. https://my.esri.com/welcome Gracias, Brian! Juan
