We are looking to take our image tiles mobile through a make map package. We have a mosaic dataset and we have an Image service (from a raster catalog). My question is, would Tile Package Kreator be the right process? Years ago, we would have used MrSID.

So, I know some of the extensions have changed names over the years. I guess that was my real question, is the name changing or is the Business Analyst name here to stay.

It seems I read some time ago that when moving files from one location to another location, that there was a difference between import and export. That one option would bring it with relationships and the other option did not. I can't find any documentation on this now. Best practice anyone?

Replacing the ArcCatalog folder, which contained the Database Connections and the ArcCatalog.gx & Normal.gxt files, did not bring back the Folder Connections.

Thanks for the input, and yes, that is where my Database Connections were stored, but I'm looking for the Folder Connections. They are easy enough to put back into place, but I was hoping to come across a location where these are stored and simply copy/paste them back. Or, am I missing something? I've put back four of the connections, and when I navigation to the location you have above, I don't see these four Folder Connections. And, yes, I do have a copy of my User saved, before I was rebuilt. So, if there is a copy, I should still have it.

I am looking for a way to recover my Folder Connections in ArcCatalog. I had my machine rebuilt and I kept a copy of my Database Connections, but I didn't know where my Folder Connections are stored. I was able to copy my Database Connections back into ArcCatalog. Any suggestions on where to find the Folder Connections?

TrafficSignal.mdb is not a personal geodatabase. It is just an MS Access database. I can't open it in ArcMap or ArcCatalog. I receive an error that I need a password, but there is no password. It's behaves like there was a linked access list at one time.

I have a Feature Class - Traffic Signals - that has a unique identifier - Location. The Location field contains a number that cross references to an MS Access database - TrafficSignals.mdb - table that has a Location field. The MS Access database has multiple other tables that can relate through the Location table. We are looking for suggestions of how to manage this data, through Best Practices. Our goal is to move out of the MS Access database and import the data into our GIS and CMMS, based on the data in each table. But I'm wondering if there is a temporary solution. I did attempt to add the database into an ArcMap through an ODBC but received the error that there was a password / security issue. Which there is no password to the database. Thanks for your input in advance.

So in February we set up our Publish & Edit Geodatabases. Works great. And through the help of Jake Skinner learned how to synchronize changes. Which, again, works perfect. Jake also provided information about using Python to schedule Scheduling a Python script to run at prescribed times- Help | ArcGIS Desktop, but we need help in automating the full process before we set up a schedule. Currently I manually stop the services, kill the connections, reconcile and post the versions, compress the SDE, synchronize the changes from edit to publish, then start the services. We are looking for best practices, how your organization handles this, what works, what doesn't work. I appreciate the feedback, and thanks to all in advance.

What would be the PROs & CONs of simply backing up the production database, and restoring to different named database (say, as TEST) in the same instance?

I'm still new to SQL; Does this mean that I have to move off the current instance? Would it be possible to make a duplicate (TEST) database on the same instance? Is instance synonymous with machine? Can I have two instances on the same machine?
