Struck out on this plan. According to Tech Support we would need to constantly refresh the web page to see where the last known location is. We would like to see that update live. Not sure what direction to head next to feed a live location.

I am using the existing Map viewer, I can try beta, and see if that is any different. Thanks again.

Aaron, Thanks for your response. We have the refresh interval on the tracker layers set at .1 minutes in the web map. We are using both iOS and Android products to test. The only time it seems to work is when we refresh the page manually. Also can tracker be shared with the public? The project we are working on is a Santa Tracker so we want this to be viewable to the public so they can see where Santa is along a float route through our local municipality. Thanks again.

Jeff Shaner Hello, Looking for best practices for ArcGIS Tracker in AGOL that will update to a web map for the last known location. Currently we can not get the last known location to display in a timely manner. We are looking to show something as close to live as possible. I am testing this by having a coworker watch a web map while I ride around my neighborhood on my bike holding my phone. the Tracker bread crumbs eventually updates when I get back but the last known location does not. My neighbors are starting to wonder why I keep taking 3 minute bike rides with 5 minute breaks in the house. Any tips would be great. THANKS!

I would like to see if the links we provide on our ArcGIS Hub site are being used. I have a google tag on the hub app and i can see traffic to the site etc from google analytics but I can't see if a user clicks on a link that leads away from the stie. From what I gather I need to insert the following code to do this but not sure where I would do that using Hub. <script> /** * Function that captures a click on an outbound link in Analytics. * This function takes a valid URL string as an argument, and uses that URL string * as the event label. Setting the transport method to 'beacon' lets the hit be sent * using 'navigator.sendBeacon' in browser that support it. */ var captureOutboundLink = function(url) { ga('send', 'event', 'outbound', 'click', url, { 'transport': 'beacon', 'hitCallback': function(){document.location = url;} }); } </script>

I am attempting to recreate a map used in ArcMap for Collector...the more similar I can get it to the old version the more likely my users are to accept it.

I have tried publishing a reverse geocode gp tool. I have tired publishing a reverse geocode tool in model builder. Both yield the output only reflects the feature service at the point which the tool is run the first time to build the service. I feel like I a missing something really easy but maybe not. Example: I have a bunch of points populated on a map that have been entered by staff. I would like to have a button to provide non-GIS users to reverse geocode these points and export them to excel.

Thanks Owen, We did look into the alternatives in the blog and we use some of those tools in other, larger projects. The ease of use of the Story Map Crowdsource is what is so attractive for us. It is a little 1 month project that we cannot dedicate a ton of time to not knowing whether or not it will be a hit. (we are encouraging our citizens to post their holiday decor) Having one screen to both submit and see the results is key to participation. The old Story Map Crowdsource allowed for a simple fast deployment with a nice packaged result.

I am disappointed to see the crowdsourcing story map in mature support. What does esri suggest using in place of this application? My municipality was trying to publish an app for people to submit and view Halloween decor around the city. We were hoping to do the same thing for Christmas decor. After putting out a similar but clunkier version ourselves using 3 different templates packaged into one story map (that fell flat with users), we stumbled on the mature crowdsourcing story map and it suites our needs so much better. Every thing works well on desktop, tablet and phones which was not the case on the product we created with a different storymap template.

I have a user that requests the same report every year for a project he is working on. This year when I created the report he brought it back to me and said it was different. The ACS Population Summary report is drastically different than last year. We would like to find a specific table that used to be in this report. Has any one had any luck doing this? I am going to have a hard time justifying continuing a subscriptions if consistancy of reports are not there.

Currently we have security set up using existing enterprise systerm (windows domain) and roles from ArcGIS Server's built in store. I would like to be able to add groups to the role and was using the instructions in the link below to make the change to asp.net active directory. When I do this I can then only add groups as a role to a secured service. I need to be able to add both. For example an active directory group of supervisors and 2 more people just as users. Is this possible? Using nested groups in a Windows Active Directory identity store—Documentation (10.3 and 10.3.1) | ArcGIS for Server

I have a feature template set up in a basic edit web app and I want it to use the point selected to auto-poplate that feature instead of have to re-pick the same feature again in the pull down. See below.. I selected the blue "For" point but when I place it on the map I have to reselect "For" in the Status pull down.

I have what seems like a simple question. I have a certain order that I would like my points for a story map to be in. I have that order in a field in my service that is hosted on AGOL. How can I get the story map app to use my order instead of just randomly placing the order. I have a lot of points and rearranging them all is going to be a huge pain. Thank you in advance for any advice.
