ArcMap 10.2 Visual Studio 2010 vb.net. I can easily write a button addin that opens a form and allows the users to select a date range and run a query against a geodatabase standalone table that selects records within that date range. This table is related to a feature attribute table of a geodatabase layer. I for the life of me can't see anywhere how to "push" the relate to the feature attribute table programatically and in turn select all the related records in the layer? Any suggestions? John

Yes, I have a mapservice and a page setup that has an identify button that returns feature attributes from a polygon coverage. I would serve it out to you but IS has keeping it inside our domain for now.

I've used some javascript api "code" to return information regarding a polygon in a taxlot layer. I want to capture the taxlot number and run a query against a database on the webserver my javascript api page is on and return data from the query to the client/webpage and display it in a div. jb

ArcGIS 10.0, vb.net, Visual Studio 2008, Windows 7 I would like to capture coordinates as the mouse moves over the map regardless of what tool is in use. My end game is to flash a certain polygon in a polygon layer when the mouse passes over it. Is there an easy way to do this other than trying to capture coordinates then flashing the polygon? barnesjtsl

This should be the simplest thing on earth to do, but i can't for the life of me figure it out. I have written multiple addins that work exactly how I would like them. I have written one extnesion that works very well. The extension runs when ArcMap is started and updates data in a personal geodatabase as the program is starting. Very easy, works very well. What I would like to do is have either an addin or extension run a script when I load a particular .mxd file after starting ArcMap? This should be VERY easy, but from what I have seen is next to impossible. What am I missing? John Please don's suggest python. I understand python works very well, but I do not have time to get up to speed on yet another scripting language.

I have done that and nothing is returned in the "Call Stack" dialog, or the "Breakpoints", "Object Test Bench", "Command Window" or "Output" dialog. The "Immediate Window" returns the following: "A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidCastException' occurred in ViewEase.dll" Thoughts?

I have some addins that I have written for ArcGIS Desktop 10.0, Visual Studio 2008 vb.net, Windows 7 64 bit. They have been completed for months and have worked flawlessly for months. Recently I have started to get the dreaded, "ArcGIS has encountered a serious application error...." dialog when trying to use an addin and then ArcMap shuts down. It is happening with about half of my addins. After ArcMap shuts down I am left with the following dialog: http://www.mactriathlon.com/error.jpg Has anyone had this problem? Any thoughts? John

ArcMap Desktop 10.0, Visusal Studio 8.0, vb.net. I have a taxlot polygon layer. I want to change the color of the polygon outlines after the map refreshes below 1:10,000 mapscale. Am I looking at an addin extension? I want this to happen automatically with not user input. I have written multiple vb.net addins, all buttons or tools, but no extensions. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks, jb

Have coverage internal id's and user-id's been replaced by the geodatabase ObjectID? Whenever I create a new Feature Class in a geodatabase I get no internal id's or user-ids only ObjectID's? Are internal id's and user-id's needed anymore? Feature Classes imported into a geodatabase from an ArcInfo coverage, can the internal id and user-id fields be deleted? Whate about the FNODE, TNODE, RPOLY and LPOLY for that matter? jb
