John, did ESRI support contact your organization to talk about setting up your "free" accounts that comes with your ArcGIS Desktop licenses? That's what happened in our organization. Tim No - never been contacted that I know of. We're small fish, so maybe they're working thier way down the line. I'll touch base with our CSR and see what he says. Thank you!

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to figure out how to create an ArcGIS Online account that utilizes our software license credits as outlined in this recent ESRI blurb: ArcGIS Online Access To ensure that ArcGIS for Desktop users have access to ArcGIS Online capabilities, Esri entitles every customer organization that has ArcGIS for Desktop (Basic, Standard, or Advanced) to receive an ArcGIS Online subscription. The number of named users will be equal to the total number of ArcGIS for Desktop licenses current on maintenance. This will enable users to easily get started with ArcGIS Online. It will also give access to all Esri apps???such as Esri Maps for Office, Collector for ArcGIS, and Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS???as well as numerous app templates hosted in ArcGIS Online. Esri will notify ArcGIS for Desktop customers about the details of this new entitlement in the coming weeks. I created a AGIS Online account using the Customer Care portal back in the early summer. Since that time, I've gotten messages that the evaluation account is expiring, and there's a link that takes me to a webpage to purchase credits. I don't understand how I activate our license-based credits so the account continues to work and not expire.

We have shared a series of best practices for condos in the Local Government Information Model. In your editing model, we would suggest you track the condo units in a related table and as you publish your parcel data you'll stack the condo polygons and associate the tax and assessment attributes with a unique polygon in your TaxParcelPublishing feature class. You can find more information about this topic in the Tax Parcel Editing Map and Data Dictionary for the Local Government Information Model. This sounds very interesting - I've long wanted to restructure our parcel data. Do you have the URL to this document? Thank you!

Hello, My fire department has a robust set of mapping products (run books for the trucks) that was constructed and maintained with the old Mapbook technology. We have recently upgraded to Arc 10 and are having significant problems with Data Driven pages, particularly labeling neighbor tiles. The key problem is that the index grid is not orientated to grid north, so when I use the Calculate Adjacent Fields tool, it bombs out. The fire department is adamant that they need neighboring tiles labeled, and I agree with this. They are also extremely reluctant to abandon the grid they are using because the map book is exactly how they want it, and there are other derivate products from the present grid. I also suspect, but have not confirmed that, while they look similar, the tiles might not be exactly the same size. Does anyone know of any workarounds to getting Data Driven pages to label neighboring tiles that does not involve the Calculate Adjacent Fields tool? Thank you, John
