Kelly Boyd- Can you please share how you manually made the change? Here is our attempt at a work around but it did not work as we wanted: Manually altered the files in the config store on the AGS Server that link the user with the role. Now the user names get saved as "AD\\username". Then took the AD off the username in the config file and it does show up without the AD\ in Manager, but it has no effect in how you log in. (i.e. you need to add AD if you are to get access to the correct folders). Legacy users are still able to log into our secure services without a prefix to their username. All new users need the prefix.

We currently have store on data in an Oracle SDE database for 10.1. I am trying to view the annotation feature class in ArcMap 10.3 but it will not display. I called ESRI technical support and was told to use the Migrate Storage tool to change the Geometry Properties from High Precision using ESRI Binary spatial type to ST_Geometry, I ran into a few barriers using the tool but work through them by reconciling and posting the versions then compressing the database. I used the Migrate Storage tool to successfully change the geometry properties. Here is the current problem: SDE and the owner of the database can see the annotation feature classes in 10.3 but users can not. Users get the error message: The selected object failed to draw. Road Name: Underlying DBMS error [ORA-00942: table or view does not exist] [UNC_VECTOR.Anno_RoadName]. Happens for all annotation features classes in the database just the object name is different. The annotation displays just fine in 10.1 and 10.2. I found this article: http://support.esri.com/EN/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/33680 But I have no idea how to move forward? Was this a known bug in 10.3? Is there a patch for it?

I see. So this issue of the widget persists: I built an AGO map and app for a trail system. The location widget works great in the Explorer for ArcGIS app but not for the AGO app. The issue is acknowledged in information about the widget. I am looking for info on when it will be addressed.

I am using ArcCatalog to connect to published services by local data partners. I have successfully established connections for many services. One on particular is stumping me. I am able to see the REST services in a browser (IE and Chrome). However, if I try to connect via ArcCatalog using: http://gisweb2.durhamnc.gov/arcgis/services I get an error message. I can launch the services through the REST point in JavaSript, ArcGIS Online… but not in ArcMap. For example by clicking on ArcGIS JavaScript or ArcGIS.com Map: http://gisweb2.durhamnc.gov/arcgis/rest/services/DurhamMaps/BikeMap_NAD83/MapServer Any ideas?

I deleted the service, map and app for a "do over". Based on the replies I saw in the thread I populated the feature class with a dummy point, rezipped, reloaded, republished and all behaves as expected. Any updates on this bug?

Mike, I am having the same issue as above. I created an empty point feature class in a file geodatabase with web mercator 1984 (auxillary sphere) defined. I zipped the entire file and uploaded it my AGO organization account. i shared, published the layer as a feature service then added it to a map. I defined the extent of the layer to Durham county, NC. I created, saved and shared a map. In the map I configured popups. From the map I then published an app using the edit template. I was able to create a point. When I return to open the map to change the popups an error message that the point feature can not be added to the map. I then navigate to the point feature class and select open in new map. An error message says the layer is missing spatial reference and cannot be added to the map. here is the service url:https://services.arcgis.com/ycIuRaoIC4UuCDAS/ArcGIS/rest/services/Durham_Happy/FeatureServer It is odd that the application does show the point feature service and does allow users to add a point. https://unc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Edit/index.html?appid=32de104831304b5b8a16c19ef312d718 I do need to make changes to the map and i need to be able to share the map. What is the solution?

I am a bit confused. I opened the Public App and selected configure app so I could change the search terms as a test. I replaced the term I was testing in my Flickr account with another term and Flickr icons appeared. (see image) I figured BEER would be a very popular term in Durham and sure enough I get hits. I am trying to achieve the same outcome for the search IMHAPPY. The photo I uploaded to Flickr that is set to public with permission to show location and the hashtag IMHAPPY does not display when I set the search term to IMHAPPY. I am wondering why this must be the case. Does Flickr want a set number of pics before it will display?

Mark, I appreciate the Flickr Search suggestion. I searched on the tag I specified and my photo appears even if I am not signed into Flickr. In the AGO Public App I deleted my tag terms and both Flickr and Twitter posts appear in the map area(user must sign into twitter account for tweets to appear). I am stumped as to why they don't appear with search terms defined.

I am testing an ESRI ArcGIS online map application called Public. It claims to display social media content from Flickr in a map interface. I have tagged the photos and set the map to search for the tags within the map's extent. I have uploaded an image to Flickr tagged with the desired term. I made sure the pic is set to public and turned the geo info on. Any ideas why my pic will not display?
