Robert, I have been working with the old and the beta shortlist app for over a year now, and I am familiar with the builder features. The original iteration of this web app used some custom style coding and was hosted on our server, so planning to do that again would not be a large problem. The story map series would not work for the purpose because two important features (large images and geolocation) would be lost. Either I keep the images by embedding the shortlist app into map series and lose geolocation or I just use the map in the map series and then the only view of pictures is through the small popups. I appreciate any coding tips you can send. I understand if my request is difficult to complete, it was worth asking or I would have never known the limits. In case it cannot be done, I have one more question: Will there there an update to the Shortlist beta app that would allow multiple pictures per point? Or an update to add a splash page? My thinking is, if I cannot illustrate on the map that an area should be explored, then the ability to have multiple images or a splash page could show a screenshot of a map or a zoomed out picture of the many species in bloom in an area. All this is to hopefully encourage guests to wander through areas they might not have explored. Thank you for the help and sparking some new ideas, Kelly

I use the Shortlist app as a monthly highlight of blooms at our gardens, and I have been testing new possible features. I had the idea to illustrate large areas of plants as polygon feature layers. Of course, plants will change every month, so I cannot just use the same polygons for an entire year Before I spend too much time down a path that may not work I thought I would ask: Is there a way to edit the source code to define a filter for what layers are shown in each tab? Related: If it is possible, would it work better to have a different feature layer for each month or to have one feature layer with a tab_name column to separate in the same way as the point layer? Hopefully I explain this well enough. Kelly S.

I have a monthly updated shortlist app that our volunteers rely on. The work flow goes from a CSV file to feature layer to web map to shortlist app. The part that no longer works is the steps from the Web Map to Shortlist App. I have tried with multiple basemaps and on Chrome and Firefox.

I am using Firefox and Chrome, also I have tried on a mobile webapp (android) to test for it future use by the public. The app is supposed to highlight the current blooming flowers at the Huntington Gardens. Volunteers and public will use it to decide their own personalized tour, so the location must be accurate for the best user experience. The larger image size, faster loading time, and easier editing are other features from the beta that are necessary, which is why just adding the code to 1.4.9 won't be sufficient. First, the link below is the basic link that loads the app http://huntingtonbg.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=78fab66df80c467fa6f31785cc61a28d second, I just added an S to HTTP, if I should have done something else, please let me know. https://huntingtonbg.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=78fab66df80c467fa6f31785cc61a28d In case you don't get the same message as I do, below is a screenshot of the message from the HTTPS Hope that is sufficient information, thank you for any help

Even with the "locate button" setting on and viewing the HTTP webpage, it does not display user location on mobile or browser. Using HTTPS brings up an "Unable to create map" error. Are there administrator changes that need to be made or is it a problem with the current beta? I am beginning the upgrade from the old version (1.4.9) of Shortlist to the Beta, and a large reason for the upgrade is this built in location feature. Also as a side question, is there any projected time that this app will be out of beta? Kelly

The ability to italicize the titles greatly appreciated for shortlists including scientific species names. Also is there an limit on the number of sites per tab in version 2.0? Thank you Kelly

My company does not have Portal. Is there another way to do this without portal? I have attached a picture of what my screen looks like when I follow the steps until the "build a story map tab' part in case that can give any clues.

In a different question, I was given step instructions for converting my old version of Shortlist to the new Beta. I tried it, but I do not see the option that I need. After Share > Create a Web App, I am not given the option to build a story map, it just has the list of old and retired web app templates. Also, some suggestions that would be really appreciated in the next/future updates: 1) The ability to change header colors and upload a banner. Also to change colors in the Tile List 2) The ability to add a search widget 3) Import images from URL 4) Add/change basemap Thank you!

Rupert, I found the problem! In converting the output csv from degrees, minutes, seconds to decimal degrees, a "-" was inserted into one of the longitude coordinates. I only noticed it when trying to convert it into a shapefile like you suggested. Such a little thing to cause such a big frustration! Thank you for all your help, I know it must have taken a long time. Also thank you for the shortlist v2.0 upgrade guide. When it has developed in beta a little more, I'll see if it would be best to switch. Right now, this needs to go live so I cannot wait. Thank you again! Kelly

When I change the Webmap ID in Index.js to my map's ID, and it never loads. I have the map and layers set to public sharing, so why doesn't it work? Are there settings at an organization layer that need to be a certain way? (It works if I use this ESRI hosted Webmap ID = 88b187a860934d8491bdff591d0b1e1a)
