Hi there - We are tracking repairs in a hosted dataset via survey123. We have a "Repair_Progress_Notes" field that needs to get updated multiple times over a number of days. We'd like the Survey form to be able to show the current value of the field while providing a text box to add new text, which is then concatenated to the existing field value. I was thinking something like in the excel below, but it hates the circular reference. Is there any other was to accomplish appending text to an existing field while showing the current value of that field? Thanks!

Hi there - We've just implemental SAML SSO for an organizational account and have noticed that the "Last Login" information does not populate for the SSO logins now..... is this a known AGOL issue? Or is there a setting that we missed. Thanks! Mike Knapp

If you have access to Esri support, it might be worth giving them a call.... it took esri a little while to navigate all the back-end settings and identify what was causing the issue. Sorry I can't offer more detail than that right now.

I see that i never properly closed this question out.... with some help from esri support, we realized that our inability to publish directly from Pro has to do with how we configured our Enterprise Portal, and didn't have anything to do with Pro. I'd offer more details, but those are in notes at the office, and I've been remote for the past 3 months!

Hi there - We've typically created services from MXDs, but are testing publishing to our Enterprise Server from a Pro document. We have the data source registered in the data store, and the active portal in Pro is our enterprise portal logged in with an account that we've used to publish services from MXDs. When I go to "Publish Web Layer", we get the "Federated Server Not Available" warning. I did confirm that our federation is correct and functional. Any ideas as to what might be going on here? Using Pro 2.4.2 I'm not finding much online about this, which makes me think I must be missing something simple. Thanks!

Hi There - We've been caching some imagery at multiple zoom levels. Some of our users are experiencing this while lines around some of the image tiles: They end up causing confusion with parcel/utility lines. Not all users see the lines. We suspect it might be a bandwidth issue. Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions for users who experience this? Thanks. -M Knapp

Thanks Thomas.... we haven't run Fiddler on this at all. I've just been assuming that, since this happens during batch edit submittal via Pro or Web App that it has something to do with the submittal process. It's been pretty frustrating for our users, who often need to update 10-20 features at once. Although it doesn't seem to matter how many features are being updated at once.... it either takes a long time or doesn't work at all (spins endlessly). It might work once after the services are refreshed, but that's about it.

Hi Michael... thanks for the reply. These are the results of users actively using feature services in ArcGIS Pro and reporting these issues back to us as items they would like to see addressed.

Hi there - We're slowly implementing feature services for editing use in ArcGIS Pro by GIS users in our organization. So far, we've come across 3 issues, any combination of which are a deal-breaker for most of our users migrating from ArcMap: 1. The inability to undo edits is super inconvenient, especially for beginner / intermediate users 2. Selecting a number of features at once (> 10) and doing a batch attribute update often results in waiting indefinitely for the edits to save..... resulting in lots of frustration. 3. The service is always editable... so for users who inadvertently do a copy and paste with a feature selected from that service, they've just duplicated data without ever having to click the "edit" tab. We really don't want to use offline editing as a solution. Does anyone have similar experiences with editing services? Any workarounds that we might try? Thanks! - Mike Knapp

The ability of Collector to populate GNSS attribute fields for point data is awesome. It would be even more awesome if Collector could also populate GNSS fields for line and polygons features. I know this is somewhat problematic because GPS accuracy will vary as you traverse a line, but maybe accuracy could be averaged somehow per x-distance units of a line/boundary?

Hi All - We're slowly committing to the parcel fabric, but are still working out some details. Is there a way to represent economic units directly in the “Tax Parcels” layer and keep their component lots separate in the “LotsAndUnits” layer? For example, in the picture below, the yellow area is a single economic unit, but currently shows as two distinct tax parcels, each with the same PIN. Is there a way to show the tax parcels as one single parcel, but leave the lots separate? Is it as simple as merging them? Thank you!
