That what I have is a huge number of polygons that contain attribute field representing the number of offices inside each polygon. I want to merge all adjacent polygons which sum of offices is between 10000 and 20000. I am using ArcGIS 10.4 and I have idea to use Dissolve tool, Integrate tool and Merge tool, but I am not sure about steps in order to solve this. Probably some coding should be used here.

I have a large number of road lines shapefiles which are disconnected on many places. I want to connect these lines to nearest nearby line using ArcGIS. How to do that?

Hello. I have a polygon shapefile of census data (layer "Census") containing total population Information (field CENS_POP). of each census block. Also I have a polygon shapefile (layer "Intersect") which parts are inside Census layer. Some of these polygons from "Intersect" layer have a population information, but some of them have a zero values. Also I have a population sum of polygons inside each census block(field "POP_SUM" from "Intersect" layer. That what I want is to calculate a zero values polygons from "Intersect" layer which are placed inside each Census block from "Census" layer. My idea is to subtract sum population (field "POP_SUM") from a total population of each block (field "CENS_POP") and that result will populate a one zero value polygon from "Intersect" layer. That is easy to calculate for polygons where I have just one zero value of population, but in case where I have more zero values I must to calculate population depending on area using simple proportion (for example if my subtraction result is 100 and I have a two zero vales areas, and if both are equal that mean that one should have a population of 50 and the second one 50 too. In attached example violet borders are from layer "Intersect"(violet labels are areas of each part), black borders with green fill are "Census" areas (black label is total census block population), and the orange label is population sum of areas from "intersect" layer. How I can calculate this using field calculator in ArcGIS desktop? I think that is possible using some python code with IF function.

Helpful, but is there any address locator which not require any privileges?

I have logged in but maybe my account don`t have privilege for geocoding. How I can create a new account for geocoding? Or maybe I could download some address locator for ArcGIS?

Thanks a lot. Anyway I will start digitizing this old scanned map. That is the only good solution.

I have a list of addresses in form Address, City, Country, ZIP code and I want to geocode these addresses and get the points of these locations. I want to do that using ArcGIS geocode tool. Is there any accurate Address locator for USA or any URL server for this type geocoding? I have tried to use ArcGIS world geocode service but there was some error: "There was an error trying to process this table".

Yes, Thin is a very good solution, but the main problem here is to isolate roads pixels...

Good suggestion but my map is from the year of 1930.so a lot of thing was changed until now. If you have some source where I can get historic data that would be great.

I want to create a line shapefiles of white roads from the raster file (screenshot1) using ArcGIS: My idea is to use ArcScan toolbar, but first of all I need to classify roads pixels values from raster. For that I have used ISO Unsupervised classification tool with a number of 30 classes. The results are not good for me because I got the unclear pixel values which are unusable for ArcScan vectorisation (screenshot2): Of course, if I have a clear pixels defining the roads I will use Reclassify tool to filter get just two pixel values (one which I need and one which don`t). Now I need to know is there any way to solve my problem?

I got this when I have used Thin: Now when I use Raster to polyline tool the results are great. Now I just need to connect divided lines.

I also want to connect lines which belongs to roads, because when I have made the raster classification some roads are cuted because of different pixel color that intersect it. How I can connect the roads now?

Hello. I need to know how to create roads vector center lines from raster. I have used raster classification tool to classify raster and after that reclassify tool to filter the roads from other values. After that I have used "Raster to polyline" tool and checked the Simplify box, but the results are not really good (see attachment). Does anyone know better way to solve my problem? Thanks in advance
