Currently, Survey123 creates the folder structure C:\Users\<user name>\ArcGIS\My Survey Designs then creates and new folder for each new survey form within the My Survey Designs folder. This works great as long as only one person is responsible for creating and managing Survey forms. As more forms need creation, the only option so far is to install Connect on a different computer where the same folder structure is created - this works as long as each install and user is responsible for individual surveys. Two people cannot work on the same survey using Connect unless they share the same computer or pass the project folder back and forth - formerly called sneaker-net. Has anyone found a way to use SharePoint or other shared network location to collaborate on the same forms without passing the folders between users as changes are made. I realize the challenge of two people working the same form simultaneously may not be practical/possible but coud two different laptops with Connect installed be directed to use the same My Survey Designs folder to collaborate on a project? This would also allow all creators to see all forms created by the organizatio, see if someone else has developed a form for a project, and use existing forms created by others in the organization as templates.

A little more information might be helpful in attempting to help solve the problem but... When I create a new survey, I typically click New Survey, Change the Title to the new project, select a previous survey from My surveys, click Create Survey, make modifications as needed in the form and XLSForm, publish, and close Survey123. There is no Save or Save As option. The only time I need to click save is to update the form by saving the XLSForm periodically or when finished with modifications. I do not have any reason to use Save As from the XLSForm so I do not know if this is a problem or if this is what you have done to get stuck. Please provide some guidance on your process that leads up to the Save As ending.

Good morning DaveJ, My experience has been that your suggested changes should not affect past data for questions 1 and 2. To be more transparent, my experience has been modifying existing forms within Survey123 Connect and not via web tools. My experience also includes new databases created by Survey123 Connect and connecting to existing feature services. I have use "Other" only one time but Survey123 Connect created a new field for "Other" responses as a String and did not change the original field. Question 3 is changing the schema which, in GIS FGDBs, normally deletes the existing field from the database and creates a new field - in this case you might loose data. I would suggest creating a new question for #3 with a new "name" in the XLSForm and hide the original question so that you don't delete the old data. Once the form is published, you might go into the database with ArcGIS Pro and copy old data into the new field before deleting the original question #3. I hope this is all correct because I have not tested changing the schema of a question in Survey123 - this is based on my experience using ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro in ESRI file geodatabases and SQL Server geodatabases.

I also appreciate the team's efforts to resolve problems as they occur in a product that has an update every month-ish. I was able to confirm that the problem is affecting version 3.13. and 3.14. I does not seem to matter if the XLSForm was created in 3.13 or 3.14 or whether you are using Connect version 3.13 or 3.14 - I have tried all combinations of this with no resolution to the problem.

My comment on reuse is almost moot after Ismael's response but I will agree and confirm that you can reuse items in the choice list for different questions. I do it repeatedly with yes_no, name lists, and condition assessment questions. As to the error message with no details about XLSForm conversion, I get the same message and have been unable to determine the cause.

Not sure where you can download them but I keep a few older versions stored locally for just this type of "challenge". I have "Survey123ConnectBeta_x64_3_13_239". It is too big (129MB zipped) to share here but I can send it to you if you provide an address.

In IOS field app version 3.13 I was able to open a survey with Inbox enabled, refresh the inbox and click on Map to see a map with locations of lines or points, depending on the survey form opened. I just upgraded the field app to v3.14.242 and I no longer have the List or the Map option in the Inbox page - only the refresh button. Luckily, the List of points shows but my users prefer clicking the map with the appropriate line segment instead of needing to the the segment ID from the List. Anyone having this "challenge" and have a solution to restore the Map option or provide guidance to install a 3.13 version back to my iPad?

I am glad to here it worked for some but I upgraded to v3.14.261 today and still do not have the new grid options. Is there a newer version? I am opening a form created in 3.13 that was set to theme-grid. I am having the same "challenges" identified in the original post - appearance values in XLSForm are not reflected in the Survey123 form preview.

Good morning, I know this is an older blog but did you ever get any response to your query about limiting the number of repeats based on user response to a specific question? I have been trying to do this without success - If a manhole has 3 pipes, I want a repeat for each pipe. If it has 4 pipes, I want 4 repeats to be presented so the user could be required to complete all 4 repeats. I am also trying to the limit the pipe count options available to the user which is what brought me to this particular blog. The DistinctCheck for length is of no value when all options are only 1 digit in length. For example, the first pipe should always be the outflowing pipe. I do not want users to be allowed to use "1" for any other pipe. Back to the first part of this question, If I can limit the number of repeats maybe I no longer need the pipe count and could autopopulate the flow direction to "outflow" on the first repeat

This has me worried also. Is there a blog or training material on the difference between the new types of grid layout. How will selecting a new grid layout affect previous forms - forms that look good in v3.13 and 3.14 for example with the theme-grid option?

I am real happy it worked for you. You could add a statement in the hint field to remind users that negative numbers are not allowed. For example <div style=“font-style:italic; font-weight:bold; color:orange;”>Negative values will not be accepted</div>

I found a possible solution while investigating calculations using XLSXForm. Use the formula .>=0 and .<100 in the constraint field. If the user enters a value outside of the range 0-99 the question will be highlighted in red and the form cannot not be submitted - see the screenshots below.

I need more information please. Is the user trying to add the photos on the mobile device or desktop? Is the user trying to add via Survey123 field app or web app on mobile device or Connect, field app, or web app on Desktop? Is the user using the Inbox or Sent items to re-open the sent survey?

Good morning, based on what you have presented in your questions, I might try formatting the statement a little differently: try selected(${RecreationSpaces}, 'Not Met') in the relevant column of the conditional statement line. You can add multiple selected statements separated by or as in selected(${<fieldname>},'condition') or selected(${...) Still working on the color portion of your question
