I believe there are 3 levels for licensing/functionality: Basic, Standard and Advanced. It sounds like your license is for either Basic or Standard, but you are trying to set up Advanced.

In ArcMap, while creating a feature (or reshaping), there is a display at the bottom of the map showing the measurements of the current line segment with length & direction. Is there an equivalent in Pro? I've checked under Options-Editing (and everywhere else I can think of) but do not see any option for this. If it doesn't exist, it would certainly be a good enhancement for the future.

I see the bug you mentioned is specific to area calculations. What about length and x/y calcs? Those are returning incorrect numbers as well.

Neither will batch convert the files, unfortunately. -Feature Class to Feature Class doesn't have a "batch" or "multi" option. -And Feature Class to Geodatabase is a one-to-one or many-to-one operation. No many-to-many. From what I read before posting that comment originally, ESRI recommends what I was talking about: Use ArcMap or Catalog to create a new FGDB, then copy/paste the contents of the PGDB to it.

So it's done through the contents pane, rather than in the legend itself? That seems a bit absurd. Changing the legend patch is something you generally do for the end user of a map; someone who needs a squiggly line in the legend to help understand that it's for a stream. That's what a map legend is for. The desktop user who is setting up the map already knows which features are streams. I don't thing having it show up in the contents pane is particularly useful.

At the very least ESRI needs to offer some kind of batch geoprocessing conversion tool to move from Personal to File geodatabase. Currently the only method is to use ArcCatalog to create a new FGDB, then copy/paste the contents from the old PGDB. Sure, it works, but I have inherited well over 1,500 different Personal Geodatabases. Manually creating then copy/pasting data 1 by 1 is an absurd solution. Particularly since it was ESRI that was pushing us to the personal geodatabase over shapefiles in the first place, way-back-when.

For several years I've had custom print templates that I use in Web Appbuilder applications. Everything has been working fine until just recently. Now, users get timed out when trying to print. F12 shows: I'd thought it might be an issue with my print service in Server, so I figured I'd try recreating the service using my templates. However I'm thrown by the first step in the process: registering the folder. The instructions all say that, in ArcMap/Catalog: "Next to the Registered Folders dialog box, click the Add + Button", but I cannot, for the life of me, find the "Registered Folders" dialog box in ArcCatalog or the Catalog tree in ArcMap. Where is it? (v 10.6.1) The folder with the templates, which is on the server running Enterprise, is already listed and validates in the "Data Stores" section of ArcGIS Server Manager, so I'm not even sure this step is necessary. I went ahead without registering the folder, and published a new exportwebmap service to use in WAB. However none of that solves my problem. I know WAB is finding the correct template folder, because they all show up as Layout options when the Print widget is opened in WAB. Yet the process seems to time out creating the PDF to print. Any thoughts?

Thanks Robert. Hopefully, going from 10.6.1 to 10.7 will be a lot smoother than the trouble I had going from 10.5.1 to 10.6.1.

I hope I'm posting this in the correct location... I'm seeing an odd behavior in my Web Appbuilder applications in Portal 10.6.1. When clicking on a feature that has pop-ups enabled, the selection outline is off. Way off. Not just shifted, but inaccurately drawn (see image below: the selection should follow the red parcel boundary). It only occurs at large scales. When I zoom out (beyond about 1:2400), it renders the selection correctly. This is happening for all layers with pop-ups, in all Web Appbuilder applications. These are dynamically rendered vector layers, not cached. As far as I know it's new behavior since we upgraded from 10.5.1. Any thoughts?

What I ended up doing was simply drag/drop the las files onto the input variable in batches. When I connected that to the 'las dataset to raster' operation, the output file names were added automatically. It took a few runs, but it worked fine.

OK, I think you got me on the right track. I assume I need to connect the iterator to my process somehow? I'm pretty sure I didn't do it correctly. I just added it and ran it to see what I'd get, but it just seems to be writing the same output over and over, rather than moving on to the next. How do I put it all together?

Hello all. I'm very new to model builder, and I'm hoping there is a very simple solution to this. I have a set of tiled LiDAR las files - 1,600+. I also have a matching set of bare-earth DTM tiles. What I'd like to get is a matching set of DSM tiles. I can figure out turning a single las file into a DSM easily enough with the LAS Dataset to Raster tool, however I don't want to go through all 1,600 files one-by-one. (I also don't want - at least not yet - a single county-wide DSM. Again, I know I can use that same tool). Is there a way, in Model Builder, to step through a set of las files, one by one, and generate a raster from each? So far all I can figure out is how to process one. Or, alternately, am I overlooking a tool that already exists? Many thanks.

Yes I am. Last summer we had a series of devastating fires up here in Lake County, CA. The worst one - the Valley Fire - wiped out nearly 2000 homes in the first few hours. I submitted 3 samples related to the fire: a swipe story map, a Portal map showing destroyed structure sites, and a page from a data-driven-pages map book that was used by recovery crews right after the fire.
