Hi folks, I am thinking through this scenario: suppose an organization prefers to use a region-by-region migration to the UN to avoid a big bang migration, or the organization moves to the UN this year but next year they expand their service area significantly (or merge with another utility) and need to add the network of this region to their existing UN. Would the currently available UN package tools support such scenarios? Could multiple asset package containing data from different non-overlapping regions (with identical data schema) be appended to the same UN? What complicating factors or points of attention are there if the topology is enabled and the UN already published to Portal after the first asset package has been applied (and we have a productive environment), and only then the additional asset packages for the other regions can be applied? Thanks, Joep

Hi Jeff, Could you confirm that the support for offline editing and sync with a branch is still planned for the 10.8.1 release? Thanks, Joep

Hi all, The latest release of the gas UN data model is the v2.0.1 from January 2019, compatible with ArcGIS Pro 2.3 and UN release 2. That's the earliest/oldest one of all UN data models. I was wondering whether any further updates can be expected, or will v2.0.1 be the final release? Does anyone have experience using this model with a later versions of Pro 2.4.x or 2.5 and untools? Are there any potential compatibility issues to be aware of? Thanks, Joep

I was wondering if a specific release date for Pro 2.4.2 has been set yet. Earlier Hussein mentioned it would be later on in August but no updates yet... Thanks, Joep

Hi folks, The Utility Network solution pages refer to a specific version of the Utility Network Management extension, e.g. Electric Utility Network Foundation | ArcGIS Solutions for Electric Electricity asset package v3.1 --> ArcGIS 2.4 with version 3.0 of the ArcGIS Enterprise Utility Network Management extension Gas Utility Network Configuration | ArcGIS Solutions for Gas Gas asset package v2.0.1 --> ArcGIS 2.3 with version 2.0 of the ArcGIS Enterprise Utility Network Management extension The versioning of UN management extension is not clear ot be. I am correct to think that version 2 --> Portal, ArcGIS for Server 10.6.x version 3 --> Portal, ArcGIS for Server 10.7.x. Is this then not supported on 10.6.x? Other than licencing the UNM on the server, there isn't anything else to install on the server that has a version. Thanks, Joep Luijten

Hi folks, I am looking for some consistent and reliable information about to what extent ArcGIS Desktop 10.5 and ArcGIS Server 10.5 support SAP HANA SPS databases. - Is this full Geodatabase support (versioning, geometric networks, etc..)? - what version of SAP HANA SPS are supported. I have found various information but it's not consistent: http://support.esri.com/technical-article/000012246/ Articile from 5/5/2016: “In 2016, ArcGIS plans to support SAP HANA as an enterprise geodatabase. The target time frame for Esri's ArcGIS support is late Q4 2016. SAP HANA only supports the newer geodatabase model that is currently under development.” --> I have not seen further communication from Esri on this. http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/system-requirements/latest/database-requirements-sap-hana.htm States that only SAP HANA SPS9 and SPS10 are supported database versions for ArcGIS 10.5, but "Geodatabase functionality is not supported with SAP HANA". https://server.arcgis.com/en/insights/latest/use/supported-databases-insights.htm Insight for ArcGIS (10.5) support SAP HANA SPS 11 and 12 --> So Insight for ArcGIS supports later SPS versions than ArcGIS Desktop and Server 10.5 do? Weird. http://help.sap.com/hana/Whats_New_SAP_HANA_Spatial_en.pdf finally states that as of SAP HANA SPS12 (revision 120) “The supported for SAP HANA Spatial has been enhanced: ESRI ArcGIS, SAP HANA as Geodatabase”. --> Sound promising. Only place I found that states SAP HANA Geodatabase. This seems to contradict the information on Esri's website (see 2nd link above) Has anyone actually worked already with ArcGIS 10.4 or 10.5 and SAP HANA databases? Does the above make sense and what is your experience as to what degree SAP HANA SPS is actually supported? Thanks, Joep

Hi all, I am calling a number of Python scripts from a batch file like below (simplified)
SET PATH=%PATH%;D:\apps\Python27\ArcGIS10.1 SET PYSCRIPT="D:\Projects\MyTestScript.py" python %PYSCRIPT%
and would like to benefit from the geoprocessing logging capabilities so that all messages written by arcpy.AddMessage() in the python scripts can be viewed later on from the ArcCatalog Geoprocessing > Results window. I have added the following statements in the beginning of my Python scripts arcpy.SetLogHistory(True) arcpy.gp.logHistory = True but that doesn't seem to have any effect. Is the only way to save the geocompressing logging if you execute the scripts actually from a tool within the ArcCatalog environment? Thanks for any suggestions, Joep
