Hi there, I'm having a weird problem while working with ArcObjects and Mosaic Datasets: I attempt to create a MosaicDataset and then append rasters to it. I basically have 2 operations: first I create the MosaicDataset and then I append the rasters (using IMosaicDatasetOperation.AddRasters): The operation is invoked by a standard WCF service which worked just fine while I invoked it using the VisualStudio SVCHost But when I try to call the service from another application the first operation (Mosaic Dataset creation) runs just fine but the AddRasters method throws an exception which just shuts the entire svcHost or w3wp process down without letting me catch the exception. I managed to get 1 error after trying different methods which was: I published the service on IIS but it didn't help, the user running the AppPool is a full administrator It seems so strange that the service works fine but when invoked from a client it throws this weird dynamic lib exception I'm running on a Windows Server 2008 R1 with IIS7 and ArcObjects 10.1 PreRelease Please help.. I'm all out of ideas  Thanks, Pavel.

Thank you very much for your answer 🙂 Strangely, using IPointCollection.QueryPoint instead of IPointCollection.get_Point (or IPointCollection.Point) solved the performance issue. A convertion that took 12 seconds now takes about 0.25 seconds.

Hello, Is there a simple way of converting ArcObjects geometries (ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry) to client geometries (ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry)? For example, converting ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry.IPointCollection to ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry.PointCollection. I tried to create new points and copy the coordinates and spatial reference to the new PointCollection, but it takes forever. I'm using ArcGIS Desktop 9.3. Thank you.

Hello, We tried to install ArcSDE 10 for oracle 10g 64bit on our unix server with AIX5.3 v4 (64bit ofc.). After following the installation guide and successfully doing so - We try to run the basic commands of the sde such as "sdemon, sdesetup" etc. but with no success. We get the error as followed: exec(): 0509-036 cannot load program sdemon because of the following errors: rtld: 0712-001 symbol __pth_init was referenced from module sdemon(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-002 fatal error: exiting. If we try to run ArcSDE 9.3/9.3.1 on the same machine and configured to the same DB - the action works, so it leads us to believe that the problem lies in the installation or perhaps the ArcSDE10 doesn't support AIX5.3 v4. We desperately need help with the issue! Thanks!
