Hi Vinay, To limit zoom in and zoom out you need not do that on the on extent change you can mention extent property for the map else or the levels in for the map you can set it to individual layer also. You don't need to create feature layer for individual zoom level. LOD Concept LOD Example Level Example Thanks, Manojraj

Hi Jon, Thanks for the prompt reply. I have implemented this example for coordinate conversion but I want algorithm to be implemented in sql server or the javascript. There are inbuilt function to convert the coordinates from 102100 to 4326 by using WebmercatorToGeographic conversion in javascript api.Service based conversion is slower as compared to the sql or javascript function and this conversion I need to convert for even millions of points. Thanks Manojraj Teli

Is there inbuilt functionality to convert point geometry with x and y coordinates from 102100 to 4269 or may even to convert 4326 to 4269 can do that job.I Have seen some equivalent example in http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/samples../index.html#//01nq0000004w000000 something similar to this. There is method to convert using geometry service but that will not suffice my requirement.Thank you in advance even if there is algorithm to convert coordinates from 102100 to 4269 will help. Thanks, Manojraj Teli

Hello, I was going through this example from ESRI Resource PopUp I was able to integrate it to my polygon layer but it is failing for point and line layer.I am not sure but query.spatialRelationship = esri.tasks.Query.SPATIAL_REL_INTERSECTS; could be the reason.I tried the other combination of the task but was not successful if anyone has another example or if anyone could suggest something in existing example then it will be very helpful. Thanks Manojraj Teli

Hello Edward, You might find this example helpful. https://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jssamples/fl_zoomgrid.html http://storymaps.esri.com/home/ http://mediamaps.esri.com/nfl-hof/ There is one ready to use example on net that can suite your need. Thanks Manojraj

Hi, Actually FeatureLayer.geometryType should work but if that doesn't work also then when the layer get added to map you can get geometry type of feature layer .Suppose the feature layer Id is Layer1 then use this map._layers["Layer1"].geometryType . Thanks Manojraj

Browser, javascript, JQuery is becoming stronger day by day so dependency of third party plugins is becoming redundant. JavaScript is very lightweight so performance wise is also great.

Hello yufei zhuang, You can increase the record limit on ArcGIS server by changing service properties. You can Increase it upto 13000 records which i have done since normal browser will support that much geometry. Below are the images which will guide you to do that on ArcGIS Server. I am using ArcGIS server 10.2. click on county layer to get next screen. change the tab in left panel to get next screen. change the value and save and restart service. Which version of ArcGIS server are you using...?

Hello yufei zhuang, You can set the server behavior to return only 1000 records.Presuming you are using 10.1/10.2 ArcGIS server you can set property Maximum Number of Records Returned by Server: 1000 in parameter tab of service. So server will return thousand record you and you can limit the records return by the server. As the number of records return by server increases it slows down the page. Thanks Manojraj Teli

You might use jquery slider and on the slider you can manage the opacity for the tile layer because I don't think slider functionality is present for the tilemap layer. There is little twist in this you might add all five layer at the first and on slider you can adjust opacity but this might make map little slow or in second scenario on slider you can update layer url and update layer but this will make layer to refresh again. Thanks Manojraj
