Hi DNVT, No, we are using attribute rules for editing within ArcGIS Pro as a User_Edit version. Our Pro data layers are saved with the sde.DEFAULT version, as default. Our mmwd.Master_Edit version or "MMWD" is the "owner" for editing purposes within Pro. Attribute Rules don't work with ArcGIS Field Maps on ArcGIS Online. We do publish Mobile Map Packages (MMPKs) to ArcGIS Online for offline mobile use, but we don't edit our MMPKs in the field. We are trying to create Attribute Rules for editing data within ArcGIS Pro within the office.

We have a Default, Master_Edit (aka QA version) and User Edit versions. The owner of our database is the Master_Edit version, so the "Owner.DBSequence" parameter works for our users. But, I totally understand your situation and wish you all the best. Thank you for your feedback!

So, after I posted this issue yesterday, I tested out the "Owner.DatabaseSequence" solution posted at: Solved: DBMS Sequence not found when using Attribute Rules - Esri Community and it worked for me.

I tried to implement an Attribute Rule on a pipe feature using the Immediate Calculation rule using NextSequenceValue function on a database sequence I created. However, I discovered via ESRI Tech Support that there's a known bug where only the schema owner has permissions to use this function (BUG-000124487). We use a traditional versioning environment, where we have multiple user edit versions editing the same feature. If I add the "Owner.DatabaseSequence" to the NextSequenceValue function in the Attribute Rule, will multiple user edit versions be able to hit that function during editing without error? Has anyone else gotten this working in their Pro versioned editing environment? Thanks, Mariette

Hi there, I'm running into the same issue, but need a solution that works for multiple user edit versions at the same time against an enterprise geodatabase. Do you know if the solution you posted works for multiple users edit versions editing/accessing the feature attribute rule at the same time? Right now, it seems that only the schema owner has the permissions to use the Immediate Calculation rule with NextSequenceValue function. Thanks.

I just moved to ArcGIS Pro 3.1 and had to migrate my Visual Studio 2022 Google Streetview Add In from 2.x to 3.x. I used the "Pro Migration Solution" extension tool in VS, but even afterwards, although the project Built okay, the Add In failed with a system error. It turns out that the .NET Windows Desktop Runtime 6.0 (the new .NET framework), requires a change in the way that the Process.Start (url) is called. I've copied my script below, which includes the syntax used for the Process.Start call: using System.Threading.Tasks; using System.Diagnostics; using ArcGIS.Core.Geometry; using ArcGIS.Desktop.Framework.Threading.Tasks; using ArcGIS.Desktop.Mapping; namespace StreetviewPro { internal class StreetviewPro : MapTool { protected override void OnToolMouseDown(MapViewMouseButtonEventArgs e) { if (e.ChangedButton == System.Windows.Input.MouseButton.Left) e.Handled = true; //Handle the event args to get the call to the corresponding async method } protected override Task HandleMouseDownAsync(MapViewMouseButtonEventArgs e) { return QueuedTask.Run(() => {// Convert the clicked point in client coordinates to the corresponding map coordinates. MapPoint mapPoint = MapView.Active.ClientToMap(e.ClientPoint);// convert to lon/lat MapPoint coords = (MapPoint)GeometryEngine.Instance.Project(mapPoint, SpatialReferences.WGS84); // open a web browser string url = string.Format("http://maps.google.com/?cbll={0},{1}&cbp=12,90,0,0,5&layer=c", coords.Y, coords.X); Process.Start(new ProcessStartInfo (url) { UseShellExecute = true }); }); } public StreetviewPro() { //IsSketchTool = true; //SketchType = SketchGeometryType.Rectangle; //SketchOutputMode = SketchOutputMode.Map; } protected override Task OnToolActivateAsync(bool active) { return base.OnToolActivateAsync(active); } protected override Task<bool> OnSketchCompleteAsync(Geometry geometry) { return base.OnSketchCompleteAsync(geometry); } } } That script made my StreetView Add In work in ArcGIS Pro 3.1 Hopefully, someone else finds this info useful 🙂

Thank you, Berndt! i have downloaded the community samples and have looked at the DockpaneSimple example you suggested. I am trying to figure out how to use this for my needs. I wish that there was an easier way 🙂 You have been very helpful, and I really appreciate your time in helping me out. I think that these samples are as good as it gets, at least for the time being. I think I need to find some WPF snd MVVM trainings... thanks again.

Thank you very much for your reply, Berndt. After looking at the video you sent me, I realized that just displaying a list requires use of WPF and a View Model dockpane. I'm trying to find a good existing .NET project for the display of a simple list that I can use to build on. If you know of any, please send my way. I see that it's a whole new world for ArcObjects now. Thank you. Mariette

I'm a newbie at building AddIns with the Pro SDK. I have created an ArcGIS Pro AddIn button using VS2017 C#. I am trying to get a Windows Form (frmSAPAttributes) Listbox (lstAttributes) to populate with a parsed JSON string. The parsing works, and I can display each string individually in a messagebox.show(), but when I try to add the items to my Windows Form Listbox during runtime, and show the form, the form is empty and it just hangs in Pro. The following is the section of code: protected async override void OnClick() { await QueuedTask.Run(() => { // get the currently selected features in the map var selectedFeatures = ArcGIS.Desktop.Mapping.MapView.Active.Map.GetSelection(); // get the first layer and its corresponding selected feature OIDs var firstSelectionSet = selectedFeatures.First(); // create an instance of the inspector class var inspector = new ArcGIS.Desktop.Editing.Attributes.Inspector(); // load the selected features into the inspector using a list of object IDs inspector.Load(firstSelectionSet.Key, firstSelectionSet.Value); //get the value of var pscode = inspector["SAP_ID"]; var SAPID = pscode.ToString(); var urlLink = "http://sappsprod.marinwater.local:8000/equi/" + SAPID; // Create a request using a URL that can receive a post. //MessageBox.Show(NewURL); WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(urlLink) as HttpWebRequest; request.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; request.Method = "GET"; WebResponse response = request.GetResponse() as HttpWebResponse; Stream dataStream = response.GetResponseStream(); StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(dataStream); string responseFromServer = reader.ReadToEnd(); System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show(responseFromServer); JToken outer = JToken.Parse(responseFromServer); JArray inner = outer["DATA"].Value<JArray>(); frmSAPAttributes form = new frmSAPAttributes(); string strSAPID = "SAPID : " + SAPID; form.lstAttributes.BeginUpdate(); form.lstAttributes.Items.Add(strSAPID); form.lstAttributes.EndUpdate(); form.Show(); Would someone please help me understand what's going on? Thank You!

I have side-loaded Explorer for ArcGIS onto a Windows 10 machine, and I also have the latest IOS version of Explorer downloaded to my IOS IPad. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Windows 10 version honors the Display Field ID in the Search Results Window for my MMPK, as I configured it for a layer from within ArcGIS Pro 2.4. In comparision, the IOS version only displays the actual Search string for each of the results in my Results Window. For example, in my IOS version, when I search for a system of Corrosion Test Stations (e.g. RWSP1234), each of the returned results display the searched for system ID (RWSP1234), instead of the unique field IDs that I've configured them to display from within ArcGIS Pro (e.g. CS-1234). Therefore, from the Results Window, I cannot tell the difference between the different result items. However, in your Windows 10 version, the same search honors the unique IDs of the Corrosion Test Stations (e.g. CS-1234), as I have them configured in ArcGIS Pro. We need the IOS version to do the same thing. I have already worked with an ESRI Tech Support representative on this issue, and he logged the issue under requested enhancements. However, that was before I discovered that the Windows 10 version already has my request working. I downloaded the new IOS version 19.1.0 today, but discovered that it doesn't yet fix this issue. Do you know when we can expect to see the same functionality in the IOS version of Explorer for ArcGIS? Thank You.

I've published an MMPK in ArcGIS Pro 2.4, and then consumed in Explorer for ArcGIS. I'm tried using the default ArcGIS World Geocoding Service, and my own address point locator based upon a feature layer table. However, when I search addresses in Explorer, the app does not zoom into the resulting address, regardless of which locator I use. Is this a bug? Or, does the automatic zoom-in function not work for address locators? Thanks.

Hi Josh, Many thanks. I made your suggested addition in the script, and it ran without error. It appears that the MMPK was overwritten on ArcGIS Online, but I have not yet opened it up. The good news is that there were no error messages. Thanks again!

I tried your mmpk[0].update(data=r"c:\Your_Directory_Path\Your_Map_Package.mmpk") script for standalone ArcGIS Online MMPK (we don't have Portal) from Jupyter Notebook, and I received the following error message: So, maybe I do need to specify item properties?

Thank you, Mark! I'm assuming that this will be fixed for the non-Beta release? BTW, when does ESRI anticipate the non-Beta release of Windows 10 Explorer for ArcGIS? Thanks!
