Can't say I have seen that before. You likely already know but if you go to Geoprocessing then to Results this may give you some information on why it is not working

With 10.1 you can now easily do dynamic photos with data driven pages http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00s900000022000000 If you are using Data Driven Pages you can make your picture element dynamic and have it update for each page. To do this, double-click the picture and go to the Picture tab. There are two options from which you can choose from: Simple path from Data Driven Pages and Attachment from Data Driven Pages.

Hello There may be another way but what I did some time ago was use maplex for the labels I wanted it for and then converted them annotations. I then turned maplex off and labelled the rest. It does work but may be too messy for your needs.

If you are using Arc 10 or later the edit vertices toolbar will help http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//001t00000097000000.htm To delete a vertex, click the Delete Vertex tool and click the vertex to delete. To delete multiple vertices, drag a box around them.

Hello The way I have done this in the past is to convert the polygons to lines and then set an offset for the line under Symbol Selector, Edit Symbol, Cartographic Line Symbol, Line Properties Tab. You can either set one line by the full offset or each by half an offset. In the past I have only had a few boarders to do so it was easy, if you have lots you may be able to use FEATURE TO LINE for both polygons then do an INTERSECT on the two line FC - but I have never tried this

Long shot but do you have a Reference Scale set? Try right click on data frame (in Table of contents) go to Reference Scale and Clear reference scale.

Hi Aaron There may be multiple ways of doing this but I will suggest what I think will be the easiest for you. I am guessing you have two or more lines that are on top of each other and want to offset them each a bit different so they can all be seen. To do this go to the - symbol properties - Hit the edit symbol - Make sure the type drop down box at the top says "Cartographic Line Symbol" then click the Line Properties tab - In here you can set an offset in the box (positive or negative) so set the first line to say 5 second to 10 third to 15 and so on.

It works both ways. So even though it says NSGD_2000_To_WGS_1984_1 just use it and it will work to convert 1984 to NZTM200 I don't know much about coordinate systems but I think NZTM is basically a projection of WGS_1984 so the data dosn't move but it will be put in the right coordinate system for you maps See http://www.linz.govt.nz/geodetic/datums-projections-heights/geodetic-datums/world-geodetic-system-1984 "For most practical purposes the WGS84 geodetic datum is coincident with the NZGD2000 and RSRGD2000 geodetic datums. Therefore coordinates in these systems can normally be assumed to be coincident."

Sadly this is a know issue (since 8.1) with the data frame clip If you are using rasters. The data frame clip will only work if you have vector layers http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/17336 The only way to fix is to:- Do not use transparent symbology, picture marker symbology nor include raster data in a data frame that obscures the layers behind it. If the data frame contains only vector data and neither transparency nor picture marker symbology, the transparency of the data frame background may be preserved. I would be interested to see if this happens when using Windows 8 as the problem is with the graphics engine which was built by Microsoft
