Thanks for the reply. Will it be supported in Collector Classic too, or just Collector? Do you have a target release date? We have a survey starting in January and we were planning to use Geode GNS2 with iPads.

Do you know when Collector for iOS will support a location profile for the Juniper Geode GNS2 ? It already for in the Android version of Collector.

Are there any plans to change this? We would really like to be able to take NAIP imagery offline in Collector without hosting in our org (and eating all those credits). We are finding many places where Esri world imagery has a 15-30' shift from other imagery sources from other sources such as NAIP or USGS.

I have a point feature class that represents photos taken, and the direction of the photo is stored as an attribute. In many cases there are multiple photos taken at a single point, having the same location but different directions. I can easily symbolize these points with arrows pointing in the direction of the photo, but can I label them appropriately using the direction field (without converting to anno and placing manually)? I have included an rough image of the type of label I'd like. Thanks! Marc

I've fixed that and there's still a syntax error. Argh! def name1 (!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!, !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!):
if len(!OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!)>0 and len(!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!)>0:
return !OWNER1_LAST_NAME! + ', ' + !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!
else:
return !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!+!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!
name1 (!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!, !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!) Thanks!

I keep getting a syntax error, but I'm not sure where the problem is. Any suggestions? The point of this is to concatenate a Last name field and First name field separated by a comma if there is both a last and first name. If one of the fields is blank, it leaves out the comma (there are no nulls). def name (!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!, !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!) if len(!OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!)>0 and len(!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!)>0: return !OWNER1_LAST_NAME! & ', ' & !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME! else: return !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!+!OWNER1_LAST_NAME! name (!OWNER1_LAST_NAME!, !OWNER1_FIRST_NAME!) Thanks, Marc

Hi, In my Flex API app I am trying to display an attribute in a tooltip when the user hovers a feature. The field uses a subtype, and the tooltip shows the subtype code, not the label. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks! Marc

Excellent, thanks for the response! I'm going to try that on monday. Can this, or a similar method be used when using the Editor component? Currently I have the editing setup with the editor component.

Is it possible to automatically insert a string into a field when editing? Like if I want to add a user name to every new feature or something like that.

Hi, I'm trying to use states to turn on and off editing capabilities, and the states are changed on a button click. Once the user clicks the button it activates the "editing" state, and the Feature Templates should appear - but they don't. <esri:Editor id="lebuEditor"
width="100%" height="100%"
geometryService="{myGeometryService}"
map="{mainMap}"
toolbarVisible="false"
includeIn="editing"/> I think the problem might be that when I initially set it up, the editor feature layers stated on the application initialize. How do I initialize when the state is changed? protected function application_initializeHandler(event:FlexEvent):void
{
lebuEditor.featureLayers = [ lebuPoints, frenchPoints ];
} Does this seem right, or is it something else? Anybody know how to get it to start when the state changes? Thanks
