Adam, well, what I actually meant was refreshing the layer in the Java application. I know FeatureService has .refreshData() method but there is no such thing for Image layers. Apart from changing data somewhere underneath, I'd like to refresh the layer in the app every now and then (let's say 3 sec).

Adam, So is there any way you refresh this layer/data, or you don't do that? Regards, Marcin

Adam, thank you for your reply. I've got some follow up questions, though. 1. What do you mean by rendering the data on the server? Can you explain how to do it? Then, do you use ArcGISMapImageLayer for visualization from MapService? 2. I'll test it, thank you for that suggestion. Best regards, Marcin

Hello, 1. I'd like to ask you about presenting weather data (for example) to end-users as a heatmap. I've noticed there is a class for it in Javascript (HeatMapRenderer) but Java lacks of it or anything remotely similar. What would you recommend to do/use to achieve nice and fast final product? 2. Storing frequently changing data - what is the best way? Updating features' attributes (and therefore the database) of thousands of points every second may be troublesome. Is there better solution? 3. What do you think about In-memory OLTP with SQL Server 2014? Would it help?

Hello, I've got a question about identifying features. I know there are methods for this, but they all accept Point2D as argument. What I wanted to do is to identify features inside Envelope or other geometry that is not a point. Runtime 10.2 had IdentifyTask class, but in this new version I couldn't fine that or similar one. Is there any other solution?

Eric Bader I downloaded and tried this app out. Alex, I'm using input data from this tutorial (AirTraffic): https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=b087b8193b55465cb94d4c451dd541ac According to this manual, the feature service is being created when I check the "Keep Latest" checkbox, so I did not put additional layer URL under Advanced options. I am not really sure about PostgreSQL reference, I configured it using "Create Geodatabase Tool" in ArcMap. I read about ArcGIS Data Store itself, I haven't installed it and as far as I know it requires to have ArcGIS Portal, which I also didn't install. Is it necessary to have those extensions in order to archive data from Stream Service?

Hi, I'm testing Geoevent for ArcGIS Server 10.4. I published a stream service and broadcasting data through REST. Streaming data in javascript page looks fine, but it won't archive it on Feature Layer. I'm using postgreSQL managed database.
