As you can see, I have not had any replies to this thread but I still could really use this functionality. I had a request as early as last week from someone who needed to get all of their photos out of the geodatabase. All I can tell them is to go to each feature and save each photo one by one. They decided they didn't need them that badly.

Hi, I just tried publishing an MXD that was using pie chart symbols and discovered that they're not supported by ArcGIS Server. Does anyone know of a relatively easy way to put georeference pie charts on the graphics layer in the flex viewer? I have them configured in the info pop-ups but I need the pie charts (around 3 or 4 of them) to be displayed by default. This sample is quite close to what I need to do http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-api/samples/index.html#/Query_result_as_charts/01nq00000040000000/ Thanks for any help. Mark

There are new tools in 10.1 to do a batch attachment but there are times where it would be useful to export out all the attachments associated to selected features in a featureclass. At the moment the only way to save attachments to file is to click on each feature and use the attachment manager to save the file(s). This is very tedious and slow if you're dealing with hundreds of features or hundreds of attachments.

Hi i dont think you can access shape fields in with a feature service, i have had to add the same services as a maps services, make the polygons have no symbology and then label the polygons with the area filed, users can then see the area of the polygon they just made as a label Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was just thinking that this was going to be the work around. I wonder why you can't see them in a feature service. I can understand not making that field editable but read-only would be helpful.

Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to see the SHAPE.Area field in the pop-up window for a layer published in a feature service. I'd like users to be able to edit the layer, add their own polygons and then see the area of that polygon. When I check the REST service the SHAPE.Area field isn't visible. Is there some other work around? Thanks, Mark

Hello, Has anyone tried out DigitalGlobe's Global Basemap WMS? There's an annual subscription for access to the service and I've got a 60 day eval of it right now. I can add it to ArcMap with no problems but where I'd really like to use it is as another basemap option in my Flex Viewer. Unfortunately I'm having issues with it - it doesn't show up in the view despite my best efforts. Just wondering if anyone else out there is using it and can offer some help. Thanks, Mark

Mark, I don't believe that many to many is supported by the API or Rest. I'm not 100% on that though. We've been able to confirm that the REST API supports M-M relates so we're beginning to suspect it has something to do with the way that our map service is set up. We're going to test your widget tomorrow against the simplified service we set up to test the REST API. I'll post the results.

Hi Robert, Does your search widget (2.5.1.2) support Many-to-Many relationships when looking for related records? We're having problems getting it to work and we're wondering if it's on end or if it's a limitation of the API. Thanks, Mark

Using ArcGIS Mobile it seems that all map services in your mobile project have to have the same spatial reference. There is no ability to project on the fly and still do edits. All of our data is in custom UTM projection. If we create a mobile project with all of our data then we are unable to use any data from ArcGIS.com as it is in a different spatial reference. We can project our data on the fly in ArcMap to the GCS_WGS_1984 spatial reference used by ArcGIS.com by changing the spatial reference on the data frame. When we do this the data will display but if we make any edits, the "Post Data" will fail with an "invalid protocol" message. It seems like one of the big advantages of Mobile and map services is that you can consume data from a wide number of sources. The caveat on this is that the underlying data has to all be natively stored in the same spatial reference, which seems pretty unlikely. Hopefully I'm missing something but this seems to be the case. This limits the usefulness of ArcGIS mobile and seems like an oversight to me. I couldn't agree more. I'm just trying out ArcGIS Mobile for the first time and my operational data is in GCS NAD83 CSRS and I can't overlay it with an ArcGIS Online imagery or topo service. This is insane. I don't want to have to introduce re-projecting my data into this workflow! Guess I'll stick with the iOS app and hope that disconnected editing/caching is on it's way soon.

I haven't downloaded your widget yet. I was trying to use the sample viewer link from this page http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5d4995ccdb99429185dfd8d8fb2a513e When I launch the application (Open > View Application) I get ActionScript errors: TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. at widgets.eSearch::SearchWidget/queryFromURL() When I search for features it lists the results in the widget window but the Relate Results tabs at the bottom never gets populated. Maybe there's no related data in your sample data... I've tried in IE8 and Firefox.

Mark, Hmm... I am not familiar with the access related data widget. Sorry, the Attachment Relate Info Window Widget is what I meant. And the problems I was referring to in my previous post are to do with the sample viewer for your enhanced search widget.

Mark, You need to look again as the link I provided was for the Enhanced Search Widget, which does not require a feature layer. Sorry, I was referring to the access related data widget. I'm having problems with the sample application - there are flash errors when the viewer loads and nothing ever seems to populate the tabbed area at the bottom.
