Hi Shengdi, Thx for responding! It looks like my preview window not appearing is due to something within Windows 10 as it does work as expected on Win 11 PCs. It's likely related, but I first noticed it around the time I couldn't see Sketch polygons as I was drawing them in the new Map Viewer. I even started a support ticket for that one (#03581794), but it was basically inconclusive. It makes me wonder if it's either a Win 10 update or maybe something in the AGO API that's changed? Either way, the "problem" is fixed if I use a Win 11 PC. Thanks again, -Matt

Hi Shengdi, Do existing EB apps built before the update need to have the Print Widget removed and re-added? Asking since our "Preview print extents" bounding box isn't displaying on our EB projects that use that widget. Thanks! -Matt

Hi @Jianxia : Any chance we'll see the ability to draw text added to the EB Draw widget in 2024? I've transitioned many of my WAB apps to EB, but my users always seems to instantly point out that the ability to add text is critical to them producing their own maps. Thank you!

I've finally gotten around to porting some of my app from WAB to EB and didn't discover until writing documentation for the app that the text option is NOT available in the Draw Widget. 😞 It was quite valuable for field markup and quick maps in the WAB version of my app, so it's 100% logical to make it available in the EB version. Thanks! -Matt

Related to the grouped layer bug, I'm building with EB on AGO and grouped layers are showing up in the legend but not on the map itself. Is this being looked into as a separate bug? Having layers grouped is a fantastic option for efficiency, but if they're not showing upon the map itself, that's a bit of a problem. 🙂 I've attached a PDF of our city campus which has numerous storm water layers drawing (on-screen) as a grouped layer, but only the legend is displayed in the printout. Thanks! -Matt

As an AGO user since the beginning, the lack of ability to use your own custom print templates is very, very frustrating. When we had ArcGIS Server in-house during the .NET days, the ability to point to our own MXD-based templates from the print task was a godsend in terms of map quality. In local government, the need to print out maps is absolutely essential. That means we need logos, legends, marginalia, to look and feel like they're directly from our organization. I certainly hope that the experts with AGO can figure out a way for us to create/run a print task with our own templates as an item. It's a long time coming in my opinion.

I've never tried it in Connect, but here I am three years after your post and using the thumbnail for the form in AGO worked great. 👍

Thanks! Funny thing is that I had even considered tying the chatbot on this very question. 🙂 I'll see if I can run through its step-by-step to ascertain if this actually works (might take me a while).

I'm relatively new to Experience Builder, so I wanted to determine if the following is even possible. Namely, is there a way that a feature can be zoomed into on a map and then display features/points from another layer that fall within a set distance? The general scenario is in regards to fire hydrant proximity. Our Fire Department would like to enter an address, have the map zoom to that property at a set zoom level, and then only display fire hydrants within 1,000 meters of the property. I'm not sure of Exp. Builder's query/buffer capabilities to know if this could be done on the fly. Any insights are greatly appreciated! Thanks, -Matt, Farmington Hills, MI

@ChrisFox I appreciate your quick response Chris! I thought this might be the answer, but I had to double-check. One of my directors thought that people might not see/click the "?" button to find the information, so she wanted to add a sentence to the bottom. Thanks again

We recently deployed the Citizen Problem Reporter on AGO and a question came up about what seemed like a simple question. Namely, is there any way to add any text or HTML code at the bottom of the listing of CPR categories? What we're looking for is quite simple, to add a few sentences and a link to another webpage if the visitor's concern isn't shown in the categories we've included. Picturing something like this: Is there any way we can add text such as this to our existing app without hiring a developer who knows how to code? Thanks for any advice or hints!

Now that the Print Widget is available in Experience Builder, we'd like to see if there's any capability to host a utility/task for printing on ArcGIS Online that we could reference. We do not have ArcGIS Server, so we don't have the ability to point to a URL with our own printing templates. While the templates/layouts that come with the Print widget are nice, we'd like to get back to designing our own and referencing them (as we did way back with Flex viewers). Thanks in advance! -Matt M, Farmington Hills, MI

Have you tried updating the domains directly on that view layer in AGO? The second method shown here regarding an overwrite seems a bit more perilous however. Good luck! https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000012279

Hi there: Little late with this reply, but I'm currently configuring the CPR and had a similar issue as you. Tried numerous SMTP domains, etc., but found out that what I needed was our local host IP address for our Outlook domain. Once I put in the IP address (no port needed), the mail started flowing after running the servicesupport.py script. Hope this helps, good luck!
