Any way you can share those scripts with me (maybe via github)? Also, did you do the same for EGDB setup (I'm thinking SQL Server, but might not matter)

All ArcGIS Servers are federated with Portal, so I assume I need/can use a portal token.

I am trying to determine if I can set the life of a long-lived token beyond the 14 day limit. It seems like I cannot, even if I set the token length in /server/manager to much more than 14 days. Is this possible? What is the maximum length of a long-lived token?

I realized that the "Label" field is actually creating an alias for this field name (it is shortened automatically by Esri for the actual field name). So the alias field name length max is 255 based on @IsmaelChivite URL share.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but I don’t think you’all understand the question. The Label is NOT a database field value, but a field name. I realized that the limitation is the length allowed by Esri’s Datastore’s Postgres database configured NAMEDATALEN. Since this is hidden from us, I will assume the length limit is 63 bytes. Bing Search (ChapGPT) The search results indicate that the limit of the field name length in a PostgreSQL database is **63 bytes**¹²⁴. This means that identifiers such as table names, column names, constraint names, etc. are limited to a maximum length of 63 bytes. Identifiers longer than 63 bytes can be used, but they will be truncated to the allowed length¹⁴. The limit is determined by the value of **NAMEDATALEN**, which is 64 by default²⁵. NAMEDATALEN can be changed in the source code before building PostgreSQL, but this is not recommended³. I am trying to determine the character limit of the label field in a question of a Survey123 survey. I believe it is probably 256 characters, but wanted to check and see if anyone knows the exact character limit of this field. Thanks!

I want to have an address geocoded in the map of ArcGIS for Excel as soon as the user enters the address in the sheet. I can certainly use the ARCGIS.GETCOORDINATES function to geocode (lat, long numeric) in the sheet as columns of numeric values, but it does nothing to add this point to the map. How can I automate the sheet so that a point appears as soon as a user finishes entering an address in a column in Excel?

The output feature-class (table) of the Geocoding geoprocessing tool limits Field Name Lengths to 31 (32-1) characters. Most enterprise database management systems allow field names to be much longer than 31 characters. An enhancement to this tool would be to allow the output of the Geocoding geoprocessing tool to match the field name length limitations of the output database (including such database systems as file-geodatabase, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)

I would like to see a new function added to the ArcGIS API for Python. It would allow a programmer to determine the credit usage per user in portal (AGOL or Portal). What I would envision in modified or new functionality is: Function that allows for an accounting of credit usage in storage per user Allow for specifying the username the same as in CreditManager.allocate() Allow for date range the same as in CreditManager.credit_usage()

I have been doing some testing with the ArcGIS API for Python and noticed that the <user>.storageQuota property returned about 2.2 Terabytes. This, as far as I understand, represents the upper limit of storage for an organization (go figure that it is a property of a user, but that is another matter). Not that we would ever use 2.2 Terabytes in AGOL , but I was just curious if this is the absolute limit of AGOL storage? Or does it elastically expand if an organization ever pushes the upper limit of storage space? Thanks beforehand for any help with this, Michael

I have even tried to get the minimum surface using raster processing. This works, but does not give me a very accurate surface based on the resolution of the raster cells (I used 1 ft cells). When I went down to 0.5 ft cells, the resultant raster used in the calculations was over 3 GB big. This was totally unwieldy and I couldn't make it work. Plus, I want to get the features into ArcGIS online (porting the features to the ArcGIS.com cloud). Since porting a raster that is over 3 GB big is not reasonable, I figured I could convert the raster to a polygon...but this was unwieldy too because I would have to go RASTER --> TIN, and then TIN --> polygon. This would create a polygon feature class that is WAY TOO BIG to go into the cloud...so that left me with what seems like the only option of trying to edit the polygon or multipatch features in ArcScene.

I am trying to edit a bunch of intersecting 3D planar polygons so that I get the minimum surface between all of the intersecting planes. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it work. Is there any advice or training I can take to get this job done. Below is an image of two of the many planar features that I need to edit. The blue planes intersect the green planes at the left of the image. The intersecting blue plane above the green plane needs to be deleted. I have tried 3d editing in ArcScene using INTERSECT (both with polygons and multipatches)...this doesn't seem to work. I have tried using Union to try to split the polygons at intersections...this has not worked. I am not sure where to go after trying these methods. Any advice out there?
