Setting the Parallel Processing Factor through the "Analysis" tab --> (Geoprocessing) "Environment" button won't honor the percentage style setting! for example, if you set the value as "80%", ArcGIS Pro actually runs 80 "LocalWorker.EXE" processes, instead of the number of 80% of the CPU cores/threads! However, if you set something like 10, it will run exactly 10 "LocalWorker.EXE" processes. I am running the "Label Objects for Deep Learning" tool from Imagery Analysis and "Export Training Data fro Deep Learning". My system is ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2 on Windows 10-64bit with Intel Core i9-10900X CPU and 64 GB memory.

Same Issues while using the "Excel to Table" or "XY Table to Point" to load an Excel file. Following the instructions above to install the MS Access DB Engine 2016 Redistributable will solve the issues. And I also tested that ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1 didn't fix this issue!

You cannot install 32-bit and 64-bit MS Access DB Engine 2016 Redistributable together on the same machine! That actually depends on o your Office version. If you have 64-bit Office, you only can install the 64-bit MS Access DB Engine 2016 Redistributable. BTW, if you installed any updates from ESRI for now, say ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1, you will need to reinstall or "fix" MS Access DB Engine 2016 Redistributable again! Otherwise, the crash/Freeze will come up again.

Hi all, I have issues to run the All the Ready To Use Tools such as "Profile" or "Find Closest Facilities" tools and also fail to add any "Image Layer", such as "Ground Surface Elevation - 30m" or "World Elevation GMTED", from Living Atlas: all the other types of layers were fine and added successfully. Previously, I tried to clean up my computer and deleted some old version of the Microsoft C++ Runtime library, not sure if this affects this issue? Attached the error message below.

After upgrading to ArcGIS Pro 2.6, Living Atlas cannot truly be disabled on the legend. Even though you un-checked the item, and did not see any Living Atlas item on the Legend in the Layout view, however, after you export the layout to images or PDF, the Living Atlas items are still shown on the legend.

I have similar issue to use map tile package inside the Explorer for ArcGIS. I have a easy way to solve this issue by either edit the conf.xml inside the .tpk (zipped) file or provide special "service" file while you create map tile package. https://community.esri.com/message/880732-make-tile-package-tpk-visible-at-all-scales

We are using a tile package as a base map for offline use inside the Explorer for ArcGIS. If I create Map Tile Package for a high-resolution satellite image inside the ArcGIS Pro, it only allows me to see the image in between Minimum and Maximum level of detail. However, in order to reduce the file size for offline use on tablets, we only can create it at some maximum level around 16. But we also want to let field staff can see whatever image as background even they zoom the map beyond the Maximum level of details because it would be better than nothing. After reading this 2014 blog post https://community.esri.com/people/palavido/blog/2014/07/18/creating-a-tile-cache-or-package-that-is-visible-at-all-scalesScales, I realized there are two ways to do that: 1. Unzipped .tpk file, edit the "conf.xml" under the "v101" folder. Instead of changing the scale value for the lower level, we just delete those un-necessary levels. For example, if you only create your tile package at a maximum level of 16, you just delete the other lower levels. Save the edit file and replace the original one in .tpk (see below image). 2. The other way is when you create a map tile package, prepare your service file only have the level you need, for example, level 16. I attached a service file example for jpg at level 16.

Mark, My current issues are if I change the source of the original "locate provider" from one layer to another, for example, if I have a layer original named as "Cluster" with 5 columns, then I get another source of clusters and make it as the new cluster layer but have 7 columns. Within these 7 columns, only one column is overlapped. And then when I add the new layer with the same name "cluster", and go to locate provider setting on ArcGIS Pro, you will find the system still remember my previous setting (this might be a bug). Anyway, I reset all the locate search mode and include a new column to search and pack it as .mmpk. On both Android and Windows version Explorer for ArcGIS, I see it show up with old search column but with new data. From the above observations: 1. While you change the data source of a layer in ArcGIS Pro, the locate provider setting do detect the change but somehow not exactly update the cache in the background. Because you can search the new setting inside the ArcGIS Pro without any issue, but showing different results in .mmpk files. 2. Is that a way to let the user clean up/reset the locate provider cache? It seems even you have a layer set as the locate provider, then delete, save the project, and then add it back, the original locate settings still there!

I have similar but different issues. In my case is if you original use the same layer name to set the locate and generate the *.mmpk at least once, then replace that layer by the other layer with different table schema and generate a new *.mmpk, the original locate setting and table schema won't be replaced by the new one! I used ArcGIS Pro 2.4 to manage the project, and test on both Windows 10 and Android version, both platform give me the similar results

Let me summarize potential workaround by "adding a locator in .mmpk file" and some potential other bugs in either ArcGIS Pro 2.3 or Explorer for ArcGIS. [Workaround for OFFLINE Search] 1. Create/Add a random locator in ArcGIS Pro Project by using "Create Address Locator" tool. 2. Enable this locator inside the Locate tool if you want to use it 3. In Create Mobile Map Package tool, add the locator in the "Input Locator" section You should be fine to use the search function OFFLINE now. for details create locator steps, please refer to this post: https://community.esri.com/community/gis/applications/arcgis-pro/blog/2018/01/20/use-arcgis-pro-21-to-make-an-offline-map [Potential ArcGIS Pro Bug] 1. Even un-check [Enable] box for all layers in the locate tool [settings] tab, without any extra locator included, the layer feature searching still works while Wi-Fi ON, But NOT WORK while Wi-Fi OFF {Question: should it keep un-searchable for those layers' features if you un-check the check-box?} 2. If you create a random Address Locator other than those layers and included in .mmpk files, no matter those [Enable] have been checked or not, the offline layer feature searching will work on both Wi-Fi on and OFF. (this is workaround) {Same as above, should it keep un-searchable for those layers' features if you un-check the check-box?} [Summary of the bug behavior] *** Wi-Fi ON (connected to Internet) *** Layer Search Enable: checked, w/o any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, sub-line location: Place Name] Layer Search Enable: checked, w/ any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, sub-line location: Latitude, Longitude] Layer Search Enable: uncheck, w/o any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, Search: Yes, sub-line location: Latitude, Longitude] Layer Search Enable: uncheck, w/ any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, Search: Yes, sub-line location: Latitude, Longitude] *** Wi-Fi OFF (dis-connected to Internet) *** Layer Search Enable: checked, w/o any Locator, --> [Layer Search: NO, sub-line location: N/A] Layer Search Enable: checked, w/ any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, sub-line location: Latitude, Longitude] Layer Search Enable: uncheck, w/o any Locator, --> [Layer Search: NO, sub-line location: N/A] Layer Search Enable: uncheck, w/ any Locator, --> [Layer Search: Yes, sub-line location: Latitude, Longitude]

Thanks, Mark. Actually, I also did some debug things and found this "adding locator" workaround eventually.

I use Explorer for ArcGIS v18.1.0 on Android Tablet. I create an offline project with activated layer features search by using the Locate tool on ArcGIS Pro 2.3.2. I also turn off the online address locator such as XY provider and ArcGIS World Geocoding Service on the Locate tool settings. I export the .mmpk file into my desktop hard drive and upload to my Samsung Galaxy A8 Tablet. If I Turn ON the wi-fi connection on my tablet, the feature search function seems good except one thing: The secondary line of each search result item shows the location name (e.g.: Kisumu, Kenya) instead of the latitude-longitude (e.g.: -0.28212, 34.94756). If I click a feature on the map, the secondary line of each item on the pop-up window shows similar things. If I Turn OFF the wi-fi connection on my tablet, the feature search function fails with an error message on the bottom of the screen said "No Internet Connection RETRY". If I click a feature on the map, the secondary line of each item on the pop-up window shows the latitude-longitude (e.g.: -0.28212, 34.94756). Does anyone have a similar issue? Did I miss something in the settings? The Offline Feature Search function on Explorer for ArcGIS should work under either an online or offline environment. Why it needs the internet connection to make it work? I know the other solution (workaround) is to create own locator for each layer you want to search, but it would be tedious if you update some map very frequently. Attached the screenshots for all the four scenarios described above.
