I am having the same problem as well. It worked a week ago, but now I had to recreate it and it will not push it up or it stays at 0%. Any solution?

I am working on a story map journal and after several posts on here as well as some HTML5 and bootstrap courses I have been able to dive in and be somewhat successful in the coding world.... I created a bootstrap grid that goes from 4 columns on a large screen to 1 on mobile that consisted of project types that one could click on and a main stage action would display the desired project. I decided that it would be nice if each project text was paired with an image icon. I went back, found some code and pushed it up on my server. While the images are there, along with the caption, each image has expand arrows on them. See below I am not sure where these arrows are coming from. The example code I found on-line did not have them and when i put the code in an editor like w3 school the arrows are not there. Below is my code for this page. <div class="row"> <div class="col-sm-6 col-md-3"> <div class="thumbnail"><img alt="Generic placeholder thumbnail" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nfwf-photos/medium/232.jpg" /></div> <div class="caption"> <h3>Site 1</h3> </div> </div> <div class="col-sm-6 col-md-3"> <div class="thumbnail"><img alt="Generic placeholder thumbnail" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nfwf-photos/medium/232.jpg" /></div> <div class="caption"> <h3>Site 2</h3> </div> </div> <div class="col-sm-6 col-md-3"> <div class="thumbnail"><img alt="Generic placeholder thumbnail" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nfwf-photos/medium/232.jpg" /></div> <div class="caption"> <h3>Site 3</h3> </div> </div> <div class="col-sm-6 col-md-3"> <div class="thumbnail"><img alt="Generic placeholder thumbnail" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nfwf-photos/medium/232.jpg" /></div> <div class="caption"> <h3>Site 4</h3> </div> </div> </div> Unfortunately I am unable to make this story map public at this time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Hello All, I recently constructed a large sidewalk network from planimetrics and it included a lot of manual editing (connecting lines across streets, driveways etc) I know there will be some gaps in the network, where the segments did not snap properly or perhaps curb ramps that I forgot to connect across streets, that I will need to fix but I am having a difficult time figuring out the best way to do this. I built topology on the sidewalk feature class and put in a rule for dangles. However it finds all dangles which includes all the correct dangles where the sidewalk actually ends. This resulted in over 4000 issues in the error inspector which will take too long to go through. I know the geometric network has rules to find disconnected segments but cannot find any similar tool in the network analyst. Does anyone know of any tool that can simplify my process or perhaps best practices for managing and identifying gaps in large network datasets? Thanks Mark

Thanks for your response. After some basic HTML and CSS training I was able to wrap my head around things and implement the bootstrap grid. I downloaded the story map configurable app, pushed it up to my web server and added a reference to the bootstrap CSS <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css"> Then in the application side panel I was able to put in the grid along with a parameter for padding between rows, which created two columns on large screes and one column on everything else. <style type="text/css">.rows { margin-bottom: 20px} </style> <div class="container-fluid"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-lg-6 rows">Building</div> <div class="col-lg-6 rows">Beach</div> <div class="col-lg-6 rows">Breakwater</div> <div class="col-lg-6 rows">Dune</div> <div class="col-lg-6 rows">Stormwater</div> Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Greg, I have come across bootstrap and it looks like it the grid is exactly what I need. Just being new to programming I am still lost as to where to insert the code to get it to on my app. I found the ESRI Bootstrap github so will look more into that but if anyone has any examples of bootstrap in an ESRI app it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Josh, Thanks for the reply. Basically what I mean by work fine is that I set it up on my larger screen and created the padding and pixel size so that the entire table fit on the screen with the largest possible text. (See below) What I hoped would happen was as I switched to different screen sizes the table would adjust like the other texts and images so that the user would be able to see the entire table on the side panel no matter what the screen size. I will look into scaling the padding and pixel size to see if that helps. I cannot share the map at this time as some of the content is not ready for public consumption without further review but I will try to look into the styling as well to see what I can find and post. As you can tell I am new to programming so all the advice is very helpful, thanks.

I recently created a story map journal to showcase some projects I am working on with The Nature Concervancy. I wanted to have pages for each town involved and then be able to click on project types on the side panel to turn projects on and off in the main stage. I discovered on GeoNet that you cannot leave spaces between words on the side panel (it just automatically sets it to 1 space) so I followed the advice of another user and created an HTML table . It worked fine but the table does not adjust when displayed on different screens. It looked fine on my larger work computer but when on my laptop it displays as follows: It is even worse on an Ipad. I am new to HTML and pretty much just copied and pasted code in and adjusted to make it work but I am wondering if there is some code I am missing that will get the table to adjust size depending on the screen. Below is how I formatted my table in HTML. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks! <style type="text/css">table, th, td { border: 1px solid black; padding: 30px; } </style> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px"><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453219985018" data-storymaps-type="media">Bank Protection</a></span></strong></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220000213" data-storymaps-type="media">Beach</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220020242" data-storymaps-type="media">Building</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px"><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220035002" data-storymaps-type="media">Bulkhead</a></span></strong></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220055343" data-storymaps-type="media">Culvert</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220072792" data-storymaps-type="media">Dune</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220088321" data-storymaps-type="media">Flood Protection System</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220101187" data-storymaps-type="media">Groin</a></strong></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220116983" data-storymaps-type="media">Infiltration Galleries</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220129548" data-storymaps-type="media">Rain Garden Bioswale</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220143714" data-storymaps-type="media">Road</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220155461" data-storymaps-type="media">Sediment Removal</a></strong></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220170065" data-storymaps-type="media">Sewer Infrastructure</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:18px"><strong><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220184134" data-storymaps-type="media">Storm Water Infrastructure</a></strong></span></td> <td style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px"><a data-storymaps="MJ-ACTION-1453220198041" data-storymaps-type="media">Tide Gate</a></span></strong></td> <td style="text-align: center;"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

Hi Jake, Thanks for the quick response. I tried adding it as a basemap and still had the same spinning wheel problem when I tried to load the application. Ideally what I would really want is for this tile cache to turn on when I click on a certain tab but upon further research it seems that turning layers on and off with tabs is currently not feasible in this application. I am creating a shortlist story map for a local bike trail and wanted to add a tile cache of the historic railroad plans simply for background viewing. However, whenever I add this to the webmap the application no longer loads. Is there anyway to add this type of dataset in the application or is it strictly limited to point and polygon shapefiles/csv? Thanks Mark

I recently created a file gdb with relationships and pushed it into AGO. I have had success using the map in IOS and Android and been able to use all of the relationship functionality in the field. However when I try to take it offline on my android I get the following message "The map '...' failed to download with the message: Unable to create replica. Please check your parameters., Error in creating runtime geodatabase." It works fine on any IOS and I was successfully able to take other maps offline on my android that had simple feature services. I know there have been numerous posts on this topic but I still cannot seem to find the answer. I am on 10.3 in both collector and ArcGIS. Thanks Mark

I put together an app the other day with the web app builder and when I send the URL to someone it requires them to log on. The content, web map, and app are all shared publically. Also, surprisingly if I create the app using an ESRI template instead of the web app builder I am able to successfully share that app with anyone without requiring login. Is there a step I am missing with the Web App builder that will allow the finished app to be publically viewable. Thanks Mark
