I'm using the Share tool in AGOL (WAB) to generate a URL of a map feature, using the "Query a feature and zoom to it" and "Remember layers visibility" options. The thought being that the URL can be used to auto-zoom, with a set extent and layers turned on. I've added the URL to a popup window, hoping that when the URL is clicked, the map would auto-zoom to the set location with certain layers turned on. Think of this as a city, represented on a large scale map as a point. Click on the point to open a Popup, then click the URL link in the popup, zooming the map to a smaller scale with the city boundary as a polygon and a few other layers turned on. Whenever I click the link in the popup, AGOL/WAB opens the URL link in a new window and forces the user to Sign into AGOL again. The small scale map opens, but it's not very seamless. It'd be nice if AGOL/WAB was able to open the popup inside of the same browser window. There needs to be an option to do this. On a side note, I'm able to get the behavior I want if the URL is opened from an "About" widget. This is great, except that a user has to know to look in the About widget to find the link. It's more intuitive if the link is in the popup. I've also tried adding the URL to the Splash widget with poor results and have tried using different <a href> tags in the popup html per https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_target.asp with no change in result.

Wanted to add this to the conversation. I found a post on the ESRI Austrailia Technical Blog (https://esriaustraliatechblog.wordpress.com/2020/12/14/how-to-connect-to-an-arcgis-license-manager-using-ipv4-and-ipv6-connections/) that has directions on how to add both an IPV4 and IPV6 address to the registry of the local ArcGIS Administrator. It fixed the issue I was having with IPV6. I can now connect 10.8.1 ArcMap running on my laptop to our GIS server which hosts a 2020.0 ArcGIS License Server Administrator.

Just a heads up to anyone monitoring this thread. Within the past week, I noticed a popup message in the Google Chrome browser stating that "Flash Player will no longer be supported after December 2020." Image and link below. https://www.blog.google/products/chrome/saying-goodbye-flash-chrome/

I haven't thought that far ahead, to worry about 10.7 affecting Flex Viewer. I have started to run into minor annoyances with Google Chrome, which has led to exploring other options. For a few months now, in Chrome (currently running Chrome v.73.0.3683.86) the Adobe Flash plugin will not permanently run for a specified website, only temporarily, while the instance of Chrome is running. This forces a user to enable Flash every time Chrome has been totally closed out, then reopened. Not a big deal, but its led me to start thinking about, what if the browser stops running Flex Builder. I need a backup plan. I started experimenting with a download of a site I built with the WebApp Builder for ArcGIS. It mimics one of my Flex Viewer sites. I implemented all of the same tools, popups, etc. It's real nice. But I'm hesitant to roll out it out to our users. The printing template scale bar always defaults to miles, which looks like garbage when the majority of the maps your users make are at a small scale. I've searched the code, but cannot figure out how to change the scale bar's default unit to feet. The user can change the units manually, but I don't want to force them to do so. For now, the Flex Viewer is more convenient. I'm hoping that ESRI will implement an easier way to change the default units. If they do so, I'll most likely migrate our web environment to WebApp Builder for ArcGIS sites that mimic our current Flex sites. All downloaded and ran locally on our servers. Matt

I'm also still running numerous Flex Viewer sites, haven't ran into any issues. We’re currently using AGS 10.5.1 and 10.5.1 GeoDatabases running on SQL Server 13.0.4206.0. The AGS server is running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Matt

I figured out what's going on. For my case, the problem lied within the map service that I was publishing, not the application consuming the map service. Here's how I fixed things. Hopefully it works for anyone else. After more searching, I found this posting https://community.esri.com/thread/163168 which spoke about how to utilize date fields when using a feature service. I'm not using a feature service, but figured I'd try it. In ArcMap, I have a feature class related to a table which has been added into ArcMap as a table. I think that is key, that the table exists in ArcMap, because you can edit the properties of the table. In the Time tab of the related table, I used one date field. Other than setting the Time Field and Time Zone, everything else is default: I republished the map services, checked both the Flex and ArcGIS online viewers and found that the related popup dates were correct. Hi Rhett, Were you ever able to find a solution for this? I also still use the Flex viewer and noticed the same -1 day issue with the popup date fields in my related records. I did a little testing and found that the -1 day issue also happens when I view the same related records via an arcgis.com web map popup. Leading me to believe it's not unique to Flex. As of now, I have no idea how to fix it. Thanks, Matt

I encountered the same error when downloading data onto the Collector app. The "several layers referencing the same feature class" solution worked for me, thanks Nicolas!
