I still haven't figured this out, reading the documentation is that dockpanes can be docked in a view on left or right of the map. I guess I want to get hold of that view and set properties. Any suggestions? Thanks

I thought I would add a picture as my question wasn't worded too well. My process I have several docking panes that have optimal sizes and I would like to set their width when they become the active pane.

I want to be able to determine if the contents window is docked and if so set the width of its parent's container. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Mike

I would like to be able to programmatically geocode against my local Locator. I see the sample reference the online ESRI geocoding service but I don't see an example on how to do it with my locator offline. Is this possible? Is there an example/snippet? thanks Mike

can you post working code? How about all interfaces? particularly IMapView. I can't get resharper to extract the sdk interfaces. Have you made a I Mapview mock implementing all methods? thanks Mike

this seems to work for me thanks for help double Rad2Degrees = 180 / Math.PI; var lineBuilder = new LineBuilder(p1, p2); var lineSeg = lineBuilder.ToSegment(); var degrees = lineSeg.Angle * Rad2Degrees; degrees = 90 - degrees; if (degrees < 0) degrees = degrees + 360;

so i think like the linesegment approach but it returns the angle relative to x axis going counter clockwise as opposed to the preferable gis coordinate system starting at y axis in a clockwise direction. so if the lineSegment.angle returns 30 degrees that would actually be 60 degrees on the compass. Is there a method or technique to make the conversion?

I would like to buffer a polygon with the arcgispro sdk. Here is basic concept in arcobjects var pTopo = myFeature.Shape as ITopologicalOperator; IPolygon pOutPoly = (IPolygon)pTopo.Buffer(dblBufDis); what is most efficient way to do this with arcgispro sdk? Thanks Mike

I can't for the life of me figure out how to programmatically set the definition query using arcobjects for a MosaicLayer(fairly straightforward for a featurelayer). I have added a Mosaic Dataset as a layer in ArcGIS. In code I reference the layer var mapLayer = (IMosaicLayer)_map.Layer[0]; Thanks for any help, Mike
