Hi, I want to get hold of a feature layer's display field. This property doesn't seem to be present on a feature layer. Is there a way to get hold of it with version 4 of the API? Thanks, Matt

Hi, Does anyone know what the '-1' refers to in the 'Max Token Expiration Minutes' on Portal? I went to change this value following these instructions and expected it to be 20,160 (2 weeks) - Specify the default token expiration time—Portal for ArcGIS (10.4) | ArcGIS for Server Does '-1' mean there is no expiration or does it mean the default of two weeks? Thanks, Matt

Hi, I edited the sample on Coolmaps (built using version 1 of the beta) to enable me to programmatically change the style of some features in my vector tile service using the layerView.gl.setPaintProperty() function. I updated my code to the latest beta 3 and it fails with the error "Uncaught TypeError: this.style.setPaintProperty is not a function" in vector-tile.js. Any ideas what might have changed and how I can get this working with the latest beta? Thanks, Matt

When I delete installation packages from an app's console it is deleted from ArcGIS Online and from the app console's main page. However, when you go through to the build section, there is still reference to previous builds with download buttons next to them. Clicking on the download button generates an error. Matt

Thanks Dave. I also have a Dell machine with Intel and nvidia graphics capabilities. Only difference is I am running Windows 7. Digging into the logs you referenced, it looks like my problem is also a graphics related issue. I made sure that both Coherent UI and Operations Dashboard are using my nvidia card but get the below error in the logs: 6020 08:37:39.206671 E | Accessing inactive internal renderer 6020 08:37:39.206671 E | GPU Process has different deviceId Switching both to use my Intel card results in only the 'Accessing inactive internal renderer' error. So basically I am still not able to get it working. Matt

I am looking into extending Operations Dashboard with JavaScript widgets. I have set up Operations Dashboard for dev mode and downloaded the sample widgets. When I load one of these widgets into Operations Dashboard, nothing displays - when I try and load the widget in the debug window, it is also blank. However, if I save the Operation View in this state and then open it it in a browser, the JavaScript widgets display and function as expected. Has anyone else come across this issue? Any ideas for a fix? Thanks, Matt

Hi Steve, I have managed to get it working by going to ArcGIS for Server admin site > system > properties and clicking update and then entering {"WebSocketContextURL": "ws://YOUR-AZURE-MACHINE.cloudapp.net:6180"} and clicking update. Hope this helps. Cheers, Matt

Matt, GeoEvent Processor (GEP) not being able to update the feature when configured with an administrator account has to do with AGOL's security policy and/or the settings of the feature service you're writing to. GEP doesn't distinguish between the roles, it merely uses the credentials to send the requests and the decision to allow or reject the operation ultimately lies with AGOL. -Javier Hi Javier, I do not think this is the case as we are able to add/ create/ delete features of a non-editable feature service using the ArcGIS REST API and an administrator-level token. Hi, Thanks for your response. The project is likely to draw considerable interest and demand for the web map displaying the GEP feed is likely to be high. We are concerned about scalability, which is why we chose AGOL for the feature service as opposed to a local instance of ArcGIS Server. We may have to look into using a script to directly update an AGOL feature service, using the non-editable feature service's REST endpoint. Back to the original question - is the fact GEP cannot write to an AGOL data store added using an administrator account a bug or a feature? Is it worth submitting an enhancement request? Matt

When using ArcGIS Online, it is possible to edit feature services that are non-editable if you are logged in as an administrator. GeoEvent Processor cannot add or update features to a non-editable feature service, even when the arcgis.com data store has been set up using an administrator account. Is this a bug or a feature? Ideally we would like to be able to share feature services with the public but lock down editing to only administrators. If a feature service is made editable, both administrators and publishers are able to edit it - this is a concern in regards to accidental edits. Any suggestions for a workaround/ solution? Matt
