Im working with sewer data and in the past I've managed the hyperlink field within our sewer line data but I would also like to add the hyperlinks to our sewer manhole point feature class. Is there a way that I can automate the process of adding the hyperlinks from sewer lines to manholes? There is no common identifier, so I was hoping if there is GP tool that will automatically field calculate the hyperlink based off of the location. For example if there is a manhole that is snapped to a sewer line, then the GP tool (whichever it may be if it exist) can automatically field calculate the hyperlink based off of the sewer line that it is snapped to?

Jonathan, Its the same database but the list is long. I scrolled down to the process code domain, but I'm getting the same errors on a number of fields. Process Code was just one example.

Jonathan, I've inserted the screenshots below. One of the screenshots is from a SQL database from one of the places I work at and the other is from a SQL Database from another agency I work for.

Hi Jonathan, ProcessCode is an active domain in the geodatabase and it is used in another field. I went ahead and entered a value that falls within the domain values and it didn't accept it. Marcos

Hi Jonathan, Here are the answers to your questions: Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL database) The domains are setup in the feature class I'm not using any advanced functionality such as topology or geometric networks I rarely use ArcMap nowadays and most of my editing processes and projects are setup in Pro Thanks, Marcos

It appears I cant edit some fields after installing the 2.3 update. On some fields, I'll get an error saying that I cant edit the field because it is not part of a domain, even though the particular field has no domain values assigned to it. I've been having the same issue on multiple computers and 2 different Pro accounts, as I work for 2 organizations.

Hi, I've recently started using ArcGIS Pro for reconciling and posting versions to our default database. Some of the functionality that I was able to do in ArcMap is not available in Pro which slows down my workflow from running QC tasks before reconciling and posting versions into default. Some of the features that I cant do in Pro that I was able to do in ArcMap include: Working with the data view window (its active) while having the Version Changes window open. In Pro, you can only view the spatial changes in the CHANGE DISPLAY windows, whereas in ArcMap, you can view both the CHANGE DISPLAY and DATA VIEW windows and zoom to the changes/updates area in both the CHANGE DISPLAY window or the DATA VIEW window. In ArcMap I was able to open up the Version Changes window, run the comparisons to the DEFAULT database and if there were any updates, I could select those and create a layer file out of that selection and review all the changes that way. In PRO, I cant do that since you cant even select the CHANGES in the Version Changes window. That's all I have for now. I'm sure I'll come up with more questions as I work more and more with Pro. Thanks, Marcos Mendez #sde_versions version 1.0.1

Hi, I do GIS consulting work for a city (mainly data development). I've moved all my feature datasets that were stored in a file geodatabase into an Enterprise SDE database. Some of my GIS users are getting error messages when trying to connect to our SDE database. The error messages says "Failed to connect to database. Connection was attempted with an older version of SQL Server Client" (see attached screen shot). If anyone can point me to some documentation or has the solution, I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I was recently given a python test/exercise at work. I'm not sure how to start this particular exercise so if anyone has any suggestions or a sample recipe/code, I would really appreciate it if you can share it with me. The exercise I was given is: I have two layers in my mxd which I'll be working off of which are a CITY LAYER and a SEWER MANHOLE LAYER 1.) Loop through layer in map and find the manhole layer and the city layer 2.) Cursor through each record in the city layer 3.) Print city name and how many manholes are within each city layer.

Is there a way to apply symbology from a layer file into a shapefile through python? I would imagine that the shapefiles would have to be referenced on an existing mxd in order to apply the associated layer file symbology when referencing it on the line of code in python.

Hi, I'm fairly new to python and was able to figure out how to do an export from our organization's SDE feature class to a shapefile through python. I'm trying to figure out how to do a an EQUAL TO definition from my SDE feature class and then have it export it to a shapefile with the definition query. For example, I have a feature class in SDE of sewer manholes and within that feature class I'm trying to pull out just the abandoned manholes and have be its own shapefile. Any tips, suggestions, or sample codes would be helpful. I've also attached a screen shot of the code I'm using to the feature class into a shapefile. I just need to add into that for the definition query portion of my task. Thanks
