I've created a vector tile package using ArcGIS Pro. I can add the vector tile package and publish it in ArcGIS Online, however if I try to do the same thing in Portal 10.4 it does not give me the checkbox option to publish the file as a tile layer. Can a vector tile package be published in Portal so that it can be used in a web application?

There are Domain to Table and Table to Domain tools in the ArcToolbox. How about a Domain to Domain tool which could be used to transfer a Domain from one geodatabase to another?

When I change the font on a control nothing updates on my screen in ArcPad Studio. I can only see changes when I open the form in ArcPad. Is there a way to see font changes to my form while I develop it in Studio? Also, what is the default font type and size so I can change it back? Thanks, Mike

Someone* is the public finding an unsecured phone with data already downloaded onto it. Could that data on a lost or stolen phone be taken off and used? I can't find any reference in online help that can tell me what format the downloaded offline content is stored in. The corporate tablets are secured on multiple levels, so we are pretty confident that if one was lost or stolen an individual would have difficulty accessing its contents. Thanks, Mike

Hello, I want to use Portal and Collector to perform field collection in remote locations, so I need to download base map and editable content onto my phone (or tablet) and work offline. Question is when I bring this data offline and onto my device is it, or can it be secured such that no one else could make the content usable? We have corporate tablets that we can secure, but we are wondering if we would be exposing ourselves should someone use a personal smart phone to perform offline data collection. Thanks, Mike

In ArcMap, publish your service, enable Feature Access in the service. Close ArcMap, open ArcCatalog. Connect to ArcGIS server with a user account, not as admin or publisher. This is important. Navigate to your service thru the user account in ArcCatalog, right-click on the Feature Service and select Create Layer. Give it a name and note the location where is will be stored for use in the Add feature service URL to AXF tool.

I would like a single button that when clicked (OnClick) it uses the standard select tool functionality to select (and highlight) a point feature, then when the OnPointerUp event is triggered when the map pointer is released, a script is called to populate several fields of the currently selected feature. I have OnPointerUp script working correctly using the Map.SelectionBookmark object to update my feature values, however I cannot figure out how to assign the select tool (modeselect) functionality to my custom toolbar button. I've tried attaching the script Application.ExecuteCommand("modeselect") to the OnClick event, but it pushes control over to the standard select button and away from my custom button and thus loses focus and my OnPointerUp script call returns no selected feature.

We use a custom projection for our geodatabase and it has always been named "NAD_1983_Transverse_Mercator". I would like to change the name of the projection to something less generic that captures the name of our company in the title, for example "Idaho_Power_Transverse_Mercator". The projection parameters remain the same, just the title would change. I've tried using the Define Projection tool but it fails to write over any existing projection parameters. Can I remove a projection definition in a geodatabase and then run the Define Projection tool to reassign the parameters? Any other suggestions? Thanks Mike

Here's what I did to update x,y in my shapefile. I used the onfeaturegeometrychanged event to make a call to my VBScript, which would take my selected position that was moved and re-calc the x,y position. This is the script: Option Explicit Sub CalcXY Dim objRS, f, numRecs Set objRS = Map.Selectionlayer.Records objRS.Bookmark = ThisEvent.Bookmark For Each f in objRS.Fields Select Case Ucase(f.name) Case "UTM_X" f.Value = objRS.Fields.Shape.X Case "UTM_Y" f.Value = objRS.Fields.Shape.Y End Select Next objRS.Update End Sub Mike

I'm searching for a solution to update my x,y coordinates written to my shapefile when a feature is moved. I am able to use the GPS to autopopulate the x,y fields in my shapefile when a point is initially collected, but there are some instances where we can't physically get close enough to a feature so we adjust (move) the feature on-screen in arcpad to better represent its true location. However, the x,y coordinates that are stored in the shapefile .dbf are from the original gps location and I need to update those values to the new position. One thought is to fire off a re-calculation of the x,y attribute fields when a feature is moved. Or to calculate all x,y point features when arcpad closes. Anyone out there who may have done this before? Thanks, Mike

I have a checkbox control that when activated (value=true) would change a combo box from read-only to editable (readonly=false). I am initiating this event through the OnClick event of the Editform checkbox (chkMort). My code thus far is simply: ---- Sub Mort Dim MortPg Set MortPg = objEditForm.Pages("page2") If MortPg.Controls("chkMort").Value = True Then MortPg.Controls("cboMort").ReadOnly = False Else MortPg.Controls("cboMort").ReadOnly = True End If End Sub ---- But I am obviously getting the syntax wrong with the ReadOnly attribute. I cannot find an example anywhere on how to make this syntax correct, can anyone help me? Thanks. -mike
