I did not say anything about changing anyone's existing projects / layouts. I was talking about by default having that setting checked on - like whenever you create a new layout.

I'm not sure why Layer order is unchecked in the Synchronize With Map section in Legend properties. I'd think most of the time you'd want the layer order synched with your map. Please check it on by default.

I'd like to see a list of warning severity codes produced when importing an ArcMap document into ArcGIS Pro and their solutions but haven't found such a list. I've done a search on severity code 20007 and it pulled up this site 20007: Layer contains a multilayer line symbol whose symbol widths may result in aliasing—Publish services | Documentati… but this site isn't for "importing warning messages" it just happens to be the same warning code.

Why does Traverse in ArcGIS Pro behave differently it does in ArcMap? First, entering a negative number for radius makes no sense mathematically. The below screenshot shows the traverse commands from ArcMap on the left, then from ArcGIS Pro on the right hand side of the screen. The thin green line is produced from ArcMap which is correct. The thick dark green line is produced from ArcGIS Pro. The first curve is incorrect, that does not look like N 18-51-45 W at all, then the curve going south isn't correct either. The green lines are a feature class in a SDE Geodatabase.

Hope this is "under consideration" for ArcGIS Pro also.

I just recently upgraded to ArcGIS 10.5.1 and I think I've found a bug. It's happening on 2 machines here running 10.5.1 We haven't upgraded any others. In the Placement Properties - Label Density tab of the Label Manager when using Maplex Label Engine if you check Remove Duplicates then click options and enter any number, press OK and get out of the manager then go back in, the number is now 0. Try to change it to another number and it reverts to 0 when you go back in. Is anyone else experiencing this? Michael Rivera Southern Georgia Regional Commission Valdosta, Georgia

I am running a report using a shapefile which has a field "Picture 1" which is a hyperlinked field. Is there any way for the report to get a photo from this field? Thanks for any help.

Where do you get pythonwin? It used to be included on the ArcGIS install CD but hasn't been for awhile. I can't find where to download it.

Windows 7 machine. I've tried arcpy.env.workspace = r"D:\Valor\" and arcpy.env.workspace = r"D:/Valor/" and arcpy.env.workspace = "D:/Valor/" None of them work. The black box opens up quickly with no error message before closing. Nothing happens

I'd like to do it with Python. The Python function you listed is shown working for arcpy.Compact_management which would get the its "in_workspace" from workspaces = arcpy.ListWorkspaces("*", "FileGDB") but arcpy.ExportXMLWorkspaceDocument_management requires a "out_file" variable, so how would that work with workspaces = arcpy.ListWorkspaces("*", "FileGDB")?

Say I have 40 database connections in a folder, is there some way to just export every database that has a connection? Instead of writing in_data = "c:/data/StJohns.gdb" out_file = "c:/data/StJohns.xml" export_option = "SCHEMA_ONLY" storage_type = "BINARY" export_metadata = "METADATA" # Execute ExportXMLWorkspaceDocument arcpy.ExportXMLWorkspaceDocument_management(in_data, out_file, export_option, storage_type, export_metadata) 40 times?
